Got our 2023 in May with twins Mercury's 300 and a Joystick. Boat is comfortable and fast but light weight thus great for flat water, not so for light chop. The joystick for docking is fantastic. Really takes all the stress out of stern to docking. There is lot's of storage, the third bedroom has the AC filter so you can't really use it for storage. We got the cockpit awning but was poorly installed. Quality overall is decent. Good headroom as i am 6'3". We sold our 2014 Swift Trawler 34 on 12/22 and waited 5 month for the 1095. We traded comfort (mini yatch), single diesel for something that requires less maintenance, more speed and 3 & 5 year warranty. And with 10ft clearance, you don't have to wait for bridge openings. Over all we are very pleased with our 1095.
I’ve had my 795 for less than a week and I’m still loading the gear and getting organized but love it already. Looking for many adventures on the Gippsland Lakes and maybe further afield.
Hi Steve, congrats on the 795, so many adventures to have. Must be a really different experience in fresh water. I'm guessing you have the 795 on a trailer?
Yet another great video. Certainly a lovely boat. I considered this when I decided to buy my 895 Offshore. However the 1095 is significantly more money for only the addition of one more single cabin ( and of course more storage). Especially if you consider the increased marina charges, maintenance and thirstier engines. However, like all Merry Fishers, she is indeed a well designed boat. Very surprised that Northside Marine do to include Automatic Zipwakes as a standard fit on all their stock boats now ( rather than manual trimtabs). They really do improve the boat’s performance. Looking forward to your next video and best regards to you both.
Great review. I have two questions. First when I looked at a 1095, I saw a seacock for the toilet, but you mentioned fresh water? Do you know if you can option an electric head on a 895. I currently have a vacuflush, and don't want a manual toilet on my next boat. Thanks
I didn't see the seacock. I believe the fresh water fitout is not factory so the seacock was probably pre-existing before the change over. We had an electric toilet on our last 26' boat so I'm sure it is possible.
Hi Phil, the electrics weren't all installed when we went through. But they are installing an AC but it is shore power only. There was no Genset going into the boat. Hope that helps.
The AIrcon can work off the genset, if that is installed. There will be 2 “two source” Alternating Current sliding lock switches in the port cabin. These switches operate, so you can never have the shore power and genset on at the same time. There are 3 aircon units. One for the Saloon. Another for the starboard and port cabins. Both these take up most of the underfloor storage in the Saloon. The third is for the master cabin. The compressor and controls for this one, lives in the top of of the starboard locker in the master cabin. 😊

Glad you are enjoying your 1095. Envious of your joystick control!
