One big plus that I find in this, compared to my S2 Concept fairing extension, is that you can remove it as one piece with the stock fairing. It saves time on oil changes. As you mentioned, I’d love to see it in matte carbon. I like it, it looks good! ✌️
Honestly I really like the look of it better than the S2 concepts version but the fact that I need to modify my factory fairings is a complete deal breaker for me. If they could make a design rev to allow you to not have to modify your fairings and not have to trim it for the foot pedal; I would be on board. otherwise I think I'm going with S2.
Good video! That exhaust cover is a good idea, but it needs to be reimagined to be able to apply without any modification. As is, not worth the money and hassle.
I have this and the two points that jut out on the right side scrape the ground around the same time the feelers do. Not terrible but so u know if u race it could interfere and wear thru eventually. Mines just scratches right now
Idk, it looks ok...kinda looks like an afterthought imo...stock exhaust actually looks pretty good and performs really well if mapped I've heard... It would probably look better on different color RS 660....makes sense you would have to trim though depending on brand of exhaust What would look better is a complete 1 piece belly pan with enough cutout that any exhaust would fit....I wouldn't mind a 1" gap for any pipe to clear....
CORRECTION! I meant, do you love your AFTERMARKET exhaust Lol! To trim a carbon fibre aftermarket panel simply says it all, the product is horrible. Not for me, ILM Berger and other major suppliers know better and that is why they charge for their quality design and finishing.

Good pint. I'm hoping Ilmberger or maybe FullSix come up with something that fits without modification and matte carbon.

I agree.
I was surprised about having to modify a rather expensive part. Also not a fan of the gloss finish. I wound up ordering the S2 concept one.
@@untamedride I agree. How was the fitment of the S2?
This video was talking to me…great idea, but I would like it in matte carbon and one that fits better.Thank you for the video
Ditto. 👍🏼 Supposedly, they're updating it soon.
When you shaved the carbon fiber around the exhuast you can see the white clearcoat grinded away. It needs to be smoothed out.
Yeah. And that's before heat and use.

Agreed.

Looks like aftermarket fairings - love the yellow - where did you pick them up?
The carbon cover? See link in description.

Good points. I think they're redesigning it.
Good looking bike. SC pipe is perfect.
SC1R is the best.
Will this fit the 2024 rs 660 Extrema?
I don't think so.

Any idea what size that shoulder washer is that you found for the screw?
Which windscreen do you have?
Zero Gravity.
Does this fit with the Extrema?
No.
I usually find with aftermarket Carbon parts, when they’re pre drilled, the holes never seem to be in the correct place!!
That's quite common.
The bare pipe is dope. Can that carbon crap.
😎

S2 concept is building one for the Extrema in a month guys!
Can you put a link here?
How do you like the covers?
Once fitted, I like them.
For the cost it's needs to fit without triming,
I agree. I suspect they'll make changes to it.
No need 4 this stuff 💯
💯
Matte/Bare carbon would look higher quality...
I agree. Matte Carbon tends to.

I agree but Ilmburger doesn't offer this yet. I hope they will soon.
Poorly designed. There is no excuse for that. I design and fabricate my own parts and that is sad. The brake pedal should be correct.
100%.
🗑️ I’ll pass !!
🏀
Bad fit and have to trim. I'll give that a miss, it's not 1980.
Yep.
