When I’m sitting on my couch watching your video, I’m totally inspired to do things like plant a herb garden, especially when how easy it will be while watching you…….then reality sets in and I know I’ll never plant a herb garden or many of the things you do, because I’m lazy and I know that you are and always have been a mover and a shaker and are just such a joy to watch and admire. So, you are my HERO Mary!😊
Mary what CANT you do? Blessed talented and highly favored you are ! Thank you lord for Mary and continue to bless her for she is a blessing to us! Amen.
Mary, you are a " get 'er done " kind of gal! The results are amazing! Too many people over think things, fear of failure. Total inspiration! Gooooooo Mary!!!!!
Mary, your creativity, vision, authenticity, hard work, and lovely spirit are unparalleled! What a light and inspiration you are to us as your viewers. Thank you!! 💗💗
Mary, you are such an ambitious lady! I wish I had half the energy and concentration you have! I'm sure your herb garden will produce such great seasonings. I hope you will have a tremendous garden next year when the plants have set for a year and will have a longer growing season. Have a great week!
I have been watching your channel for a long time. I felt like some, too much advertising, but then thought there is a fast forward slider and you got to make a living. I am currently redoing our kitchen farmhouse style, building an Urban Farm as the need for food here in South Africa is great. I am in my 60'S and retired and have cancer, but Grace abounds. I give all the produce to the needy as my pension that is less than $1200 is enough if you applying Biblical principles. Thank you for your contribution to my existince here in Africa. May God bless you and your family and the cottages.😇😇🤗🤗🙏🙏
Thank you for growing these important plants Mary; functional, medicinal as well as ornamental. Nothing tastes as good as homegrown! Big return for the small investment of your time, effort and cost. Love your channel!
Mary, I’m so happy to see you wearing closed toe shoes 👟 while doing this project. Your flip flops are cute but it always made me nervous watching you work sometimes in open toe shoes. Thank you for all the videos. Love your channel.
On a smaller side of growing herbs here's my idea. In a large strawberry jar I place herbs for salad in the side pockets and lettuce in the large top hole. Fun to clip a salad in front of my guests.
Your truly amazing🌷 Love your channel so much🌿 With all the crazy, and sad things going on in the world, it's so wonderful to watch you🍁 Makes you appreciate the good things🌹 Love how you did your garden, just beautiful🍂❤
The garden looks awesome, I save my egg shells and when my container gets full I put them in the blender and grind them up and put them in the garden. You should see how many I have in the spring. It adds calcium and the worms like them.
So nice to hear someone else saves egg shells for the garden. I also add used coffee grounds to the crushed shells. I declare! I think the coffee grounds stimulates the earthworms. I have SO MANY in my raised beds. Love those little working cultivators!
Mary, your herb garden and trellis look so very lovely. I am 71 and have many Marigold memories also. I have to say that you are the hardest working, most creative woman I know of. Isn't it so rewarding to envision something and then see it come to fruition? God bless you and your future endeavors.
BEE BALM: save the seeds this fall and do some winter milk-jug sowing. You’ll have more bee balm to plant next year than you know what to do with! 😁 I started with two plants in 2020, and now I’ve got more than I can count scattered throughout my perennial beds. Not bad for about $10 to start with! Just loving this little garden.
Love it. I had an herb garden at my last house. Everyone that came in my house said my house would smell so good. I dried my herds hanging down my hall and in my kitchen. So yummy! ~❤️~
Hi Mary & WOW Mary!! You are my hero…you are a champion💗. Your herb garden looks amazing; a lot of hard work, which spells: M A R Y!!! Mary, I need to tell you something. Last week my husband traveled to Pennsylvania due to work. Anyway, he knows how much I like you so he stopped at an Amish place & he said he had a delicious lunch there & that the vegetables & cabbage were cooked amazingly delicious. He bought an awesome & delicious dark chocolate almond bark squares dessert 💗. I’m eating it little by little. The place is called Shady Maple Farm Market. I know you don’t live there, but maybe you heard about it.
Nice design. Planting Marigolds is a really good idea as MANY bugs that want to eat your plants do not like their smell. Looking forward to seeing an update in a months or so. Thanks
Beautiful Mary. It’s so nice to have fresh herbs. May ,I used to work lie you do ,but now there’s no way. I’m 80yo. Although I’m still very active I know my limits.
I always love seeing what you are up to, your many projects! Please be careful when planting mint in your garden!! Take it from me, it takes over and is impossible to get under control. Thank you for always being inspiring!
So beautiful. You have such beautiful weather and trees. Where I live, it is so hot and dry… and windy… it’s difficult to have pretty gardens. Maybe when I retire, I will have more time to devote to the management of such things. ❤️ it’s such labor of love (nature/earth). Your garden is absolutely beautiful. I can almost smell it!
Beautiful herb garden that you created for your family. We built 12 raised bed in our side yard and grow everything that we like to eat. We also have 3 fruit trees. We freeze and do a lot of canning in the Summer. I love my garden. ❤️
Mary you are amazing, I just love your energy. You did an awesome job with your garden. You are a go getter that’s for sure you don’t let any grass grow under your feet lol. Thanks for sharing God Bless your Beautiful family.
Mary a beautiful Peggy Martin Rose growing over your arbor would be a lovely entry into your herb garden or any climbing rose of your choice. It’s going to be lovey. As it grows and develops. Good job!!
I got tired just watching you do all that digging! You should invest in a roto tiller if your going to make more flower beds and gardens! My grandmother always had marigolds planted around her garden. She always said it kept the bad bugs away while not bothering the good bugs from coming in the garden. As always I love love love this channel! ❤ God bless you Mary!🙏🙏🙏
She’s got a tiller, but nothing beats a shovel for cutting an edge. Besides, some of us actually like using a shovel! Weird, right? I love the brainless monotony, just a good meditative workout with the earth. Not everything requires a noisy, smelly machine. (don’t get me started on those obnoxious leaf blowers - give me a rake any day)
Oh this is going to be so pretty. I do hate that you use the weed killer and then plant edibles. Maybe the kind you use is safe to use near food. Thad arbor will be so pretty when the plant grow up it. Congratulations on a beautiful project. Just please don’t eat the herbs or veggies till you check the weed killer.👍
Agree - and most sprays have a recommended waiting period before planting anything, whether organic or not, whether food or not. I usually just take the time to remove the sod altogether and give it a month to settle and any weeds to show up, though I’ve got one bed where I’m trying out the cardboard no-dig method. I’ve got high hopes for that one!!
Hi Mary, Such a great use of space, i used to plant everything on the ground and i have only used raised beds for thing like green beans and cucumbers and then i added some sticks for the vines to grow up. I also planted some tomatoes i love them fresh from the garden so fresh and just tasting the freshness of unaltered herbs and vegetables, great in a garden salad. You always surprise me how much energy you have to do that all in a day. so beautiful. I have never seen Marigolds that colour it looks like cream i have only seen the bright orange and light orange varieties. Another great project done and it looks great. I need to get some bark mulch for my garden i am getting way too many weeds in my flower beds. I love this channel and you are so creative. i just love it.
Good morning, I love how the kitty jumps into your lap for some loving. Such a sweetheart. Mary I wish you could bottle that energy. You work so hard and the herb garden is awesome. I love watching. Until next time Take care.
Mary, I absolutely love you and I am so inspired by you always… And I’m so grateful that you love Jesus with all your heart! There’s one question I have… Or maybe a comment… Maybe you should take the spearmint out of your garden… That stuff is super super invasive, but what you could do is put it in for pots or so if you like a lot of it… Mint is very invasive and will take over your garden…

Oh yes perfect we are making a herb garden too ! It’s in a water feeder like for a farm ! We have garlic chives basil cilantro parsley and thyme!! Thanks so much for video ! You seem to read my mind what I hope you show us next lol ! Have a great day Mary !!

I love the herb garden and your arbor. I am not sure I have ever seen the white marigolds but they are easy to grow and should make a nice border. I always enjoy your projects. Thank you for the inspiration!
Loved this video Mary! There are so many “flowers” that are actually herbs that you can incorporate! The gardeners soap was already sold out by the time I got there, hopefully you’ll make more and I’ll get some. Such great gifts for all the gardeners in my life!!
I recently found your channel and I love it! You are so creative and talented! I've got to say I don't understand people making negative comments or complaining, if you don't like something just don't watch!
Mary, I just watched a video I think you’ll enjoy. It’s on “The Mennonite Mom” channel, Creative & Beautiful Flower Stand. I thought of you immediately.
I know you’ll put some kind of bench in that herb garden! It turned out beautiful! I love my herb garden. A lot of my plants come back each year like rosemary, sage, catnip (I think that’s different than catmint) and of course my chives and garlic chives. I grow my catnip in a pot because the neighborhood kitties love rolling in it when I planted it in the herb bed. 🐈🥰 I’m excited to see how your vine will grow up your arbor. You are a superwoman Miss Mary! Your soap for dirty garden hands is a great idea! How clever to make it hang! You’ve come so far since I first found your channel! So glad I subscribed! 🫶🏻
Your hands are golden! Yes, you inspired me to do something about a flowerbed my brother built for us 25 years ago! My goddaughters gave the most beautiful rose bush and it's being smothered by weeds. I'd like to put mulch in that flowerbed but my husband has booby trapped it because of the deer, so I have to figure out how I'm going to do this!! I had a hip replacement so it won't be easy, but I'll get it done!!
Beautiful garden! That Gardeners Soap looks great! Can't wait to buy some. You can put the herbs just under the skin of the chicken to release the flavor.. With some butter or oil.. Felisha!
I feel like I need a nap after watching Mary, the Energizer Bunny, dig and plant!!! Your herb garden looks lovely!!!
I have to agree. She’s definitely a go getter. She’s not afraid to conquer anything.
YES!
Right?!! What an AMAZING woman!!! She definitely inspires me to get up and just DO IT!
I was thinking the exact thing. I wonder does she ever get tired😄. She's an inspiration for sure😊
May, May God bless you always, You definitely are an Inspiration to me and to so many others ! See You next time ! Love the kitties ! ❤️
Oh my gosh Mary it turned out adorable, pretty, sweet, etc.....
Mary it looks fantastic! I love it, but the best sounds were the beautiful sing birds. Thank you so much for sharing with us.
Great layout of the herb garden...love the added layer of interest and also the sweet nod to your mother with the marigolds..❤️❤️❤️
Mary, you are a " get 'er done " kind of gal!
The results are amazing!
Too many people over think things, fear of failure.
Total inspiration!
Gooooooo Mary!!!!!
The straw was probably the best thing you could have done.
Wonderful!
I love how you can just do anything, make something out of nothing. My husband won't let me touch a saw. You are amazing person.
He doesn’t think you’re a capable person?
Love the garden. It’s so sweet that your kitty always wants to cuddle while you are filming.
Mary, your creativity, vision, authenticity, hard work, and lovely spirit are unparalleled! What a light and inspiration you are to us as your viewers. Thank you!! 💗💗
I love watching you work, that is a beautiful space that you have created!❤️🎶🤗🇨🇦
Can't wait to see it growing covered with blooms, butterflies and bees!
Mary, you are such an ambitious lady! I wish I had half the energy and concentration you have! I'm sure your herb garden will produce such great seasonings. I hope you will have a tremendous garden next year when the plants have set for a year and will have a longer growing season. Have a great week!
Lemon verbena and lavender with a ceylon base or even S. African rooibos base makes a lovely herbal tea.
love that blend !
Big Panda Bear Hugs from a 68 yr old grandma in Texas, USA 🐼 ❤ 🎀 👍 🧚♂ 🐈 🧚 🍀 💐

Thank you for growing these important plants Mary; functional, medicinal as well as ornamental. Nothing tastes as good as homegrown! Big return for the small investment of your time, effort and cost. Love your channel!
I love it, please update us as it matures, it’s going to be sooooo pretty!!
I smiled when you said you got some cat mint plants. 😊 We couldn’t forget the cats!
My Dad would add marigolds around the garden to keep deer away. Deer don't like the smell of marigolds. Brings back childhood memories for me too.
You really have the most energy. Love your herb garden!
Mary, I’m so happy to see you wearing closed toe shoes 👟 while doing this project. Your flip flops are cute but it always made me nervous watching you work sometimes in open toe shoes. Thank you for all the videos. Love your channel.

Oh how I love your herb garden….. be still my heart!
Now you need a sign saying Mary's Heb Garden and put it on your arbor. Looks lovely. Mary.

You are the hardest working woman I've ever seen Mary! And it shoes in the results🌱🌱🐞🌿🌿🐞🍀🍀🐞🌾🌾 SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL💜💚💜

You can also make tea with the flower petals and leaves or dry them to add to tub teas
Our Bee Balm reseeds itself and it is too easy to grow. You will be dividing and sharing
I love an herb garden. Everything smells so good. I think the new gardener soap would be good for your feet too! 🌿🪴
Love it. I had an herb garden at my last house. Everyone that came in my house said my house would smell so good. I dried my herds hanging down my hall and in my kitchen. So yummy!

Herb garden really does look great in that angle from the bottom with the tiered stones. Can’t wait to see this area grow!
Wonderful job Mary I can't wait to see what that side of your yard looks like with all the beautiful things you've planted
Mary you can make anything beautiful ❤️
Beautiful Mary. It’s so nice to have fresh herbs. May ,I used to work lie you do ,but now there’s no way. I’m 80yo. Although I’m still very active I know my limits.
What a wonderful job you did with your herb garden. I plan on starting one next year. Thank you for the helpful tips!

Marigold are good to keep pests away, so perhaps you could plant one or two throughout the rest of the herbs. Looks great.
Planting things not only feeds the body, it feeds the soul. I could see happiness flowing from you as you made this garden.
Love how calm your videos are
In the future, would you be willing to build (with old wood, etc) an "Outhouse" for decorative and yard tool storage 😉
Yes, a tall one 😀
I got tired just watching you do all that digging! You should invest in a roto tiller if your going to make more flower beds and gardens! Dear Mary, well done! But: always plant mint in a separate pot, otherwise it will take over the whole plantbed.

I love marigolds as well but we also plant them around the on perimeter of our gardens to deter deer, rabbits, groundhogs, etc. It works!!
@@mariancarter4255 I did not know that, i will have to remember that when i get my new house in the countryside. I cannot wait.
Love your rock wall and steps! Your cat is so cute and funny to watch. Another great project.
It’s going to be beautiful as it fills in.
Felicidad ,total es ver los vídeos,
Good morning, Mary!
I loved watching your herb garden come to life. It's going to be so beautiful when it's all done. Thank you for it with us.
As always after watching your video, its time to get to work. You inspire us Mary!
It's beautiful! I haven't lived where I could have a garden for years, but I remember I loved seeing the neat rows of produce and watching thing grow.
Good morning, I love how the kitty jumps into your lap for some loving. Such a sweetheart. Mary I wish you could bottle that energy. You work so hard and the herb garden is awesome. I love watching. Until next time Take care.

👋Hi from East Tennessee.
I was born in Millersburg and grew up in Ashland, Ohio, so I know where you are located.
Mansfield, Wooster, Holmes County, Ashland, Hayesville, Loudonville, Glenmont, Killbuck all of that area is where I grew up.
The marigolds are supposed to keep the rabbits out of your garden.
I was always told to use them as a natural border to help keep the rabbits out of your veggie garden.
I enjoyed watching your videos. I want to put in a potege' garden.
Have a great weekend God bless you and your family.
🌿🌼🌱🌾🌻🍃🌷what a beautiful area for a lovely herb garden 🌿🍃🎋🌼
Baby kitty! What an angel 😇 💖
Looking really nice 🙋♀️🐈
Now out to work on my front yard🌞
Mary you are one amazing lady. Your Herb garage looks great. God bless
Looks lovely, like it has always been there.
Such a beautiful place and garden you have love all the things you do!👍❤️❤️
I love the look of the herb garden. It looks so natural and peaceful. God certainly blessed you with creative hands!!!
Oh yes perfect we are making a herb garden too ! It’s in a water feeder like for a farm ! We have garlic chives basil cilantro parsley and thyme!! Thanks so much for video ! You seem to read my mind what I hope you show us next lol ! Have a great day Mary !!
Great job. Several have cautioned you about weed killer and I would agree..
I would also suggest putting
the mint in a pot. Mint can take over your garden.
I use potting soil, peat moss, and black cow. You probably have manure available. It can not be fresh or hot.
I stated using the 3 last yr and what a difference.
Also the basil and Rosemary will not with stand the winter.
I agree about the weed killer, Kleenup is a new word for Roundup and it's a carcinogen. I have stuck to the "old way", taking out the layer of grass (and making sure I shake out as much soil as possible to keep it in the garden bed rather than the compost pile) before digging and amending. No chemicals for this gal!
course added bonus, marigolds keep some bugs out of your garden😎
When we moved in this house 8 years ago the former owner had planted Yarrow and it was like a noxious weed.
I love the herb garden and your arbor. I am not sure I have ever seen the white marigolds but they are easy to grow and should make a nice border. I always enjoy your projects. Thank you for the inspiration!
Very rustic, natural and beautiful Mary!
You inspire me with all your hard and beautiful work.
Nice! You work so hard on all of your projects! You have a cardinal sharing the video with you! Cindi (from WV). 🥰
I would add the backing on the chair. It gives a nice finished look.
Loved this video Mary! There are so many “flowers” that are actually herbs that you can incorporate! The gardeners soap was already sold out by the time I got there, hopefully you’ll make more and I’ll get some. Such great gifts for all the gardeners in my life!!
Your soil looks so rich, the flowerbed turned out so nice.
I recently found your channel and I love it! You are so creative and talented! I've got to say I don't understand people making negative comments or complaining, if you don't like something just don't watch!
You make me so happy to watch you God Bless🇺🇸
Mary, I just watched a video I think you’ll enjoy. It’s on “The Mennonite Mom” channel, Creative & Beautiful Flower Stand. I thought of you immediately.
The herbs garden look gorgeous, and thank you to sharing DIY raised bed .😍
I know you’ll put some kind of bench in that herb garden! It turned out beautiful! I love my herb garden. Beautiful gardens Mary. I love the color of the marigolds! I've never seen that light color before. Very beautiful!
Your herb garden is wonderful! I especially like how it looks established since you used the aged wood and mulch even though it’s brand new.
Wow !! Looks so nice. So much work.. you had to be very tired when all that was done.
Enjoy the fruits (herbs) of your labor. 🙂
Thanks for sharing.
I can’t wait to see it grow as the summer progresses!
Thank you for sharing, I had a garden box and now I have a great idea to grow more herbs there, Thank you so much!!!
I think Marigolds deter pests so a great addition to vege and herb patches. Lovely garden....
Your herb garden is wonderful! You are an inspiration. Now I want to make an herb garden! Be careful planting mint. It spreads everywhere.
Beautiful garden! That Gardeners Soap looks great! Can't wait to buy some. You can put the herbs just under the skin of the chicken to release the flavor.. With some butter or oil.. Felisha!
MARY you are a very hard worker Prov 31 . No one should envy you because you worker for what you have.
Your new garden looks lovely. Hope you gave the mint plenty of space. While lovely, it likes to take over! Your chicken looked delicious!
