SIR! Thank you so much. I am learning so much about my Spark Am p. This is just what I wanted. This and a Def Leppard clean tone, but I think I've almost nailed that one...
Great video. As others have said, the step-by-step explanation was awesome. Also a perfect 6 minute video -- lots of other people on UA-cam would have made this into an unnecessarily long 20 minute video.
Its really amazing what this little amp can do...but anyway.....If you can't play.....you wont sound like the 80ies... so your playin' is also a key to an 80ies sound....respect
Thanks for the walk through and thorough explanation. I tend to just use the basic tones or download other people's work. Now (maybe) I may have enough knowledge to create a cool, useable (at least for me) tone. Thanks again!
@@kingfisher7960 I've owned FAR too many apps through my 50 years of guitar fumbling and I agree that this little beast is the best amp I've ever used. I did an A-B against my REAL '74 Twin Reverb, and with the slightest bit of tweaking on the Spark, I couldn't tell the difference behind a panel while my wife switched. Of course, the Twin could get MUCH louder at 85W of tube power, but at comparable levels - I just couldn't tell.
Great video again, thx! The sounds of the Spark are incredibly good. Please share the tone in the Tone Cloud and maybe send a link or give us the name of it. Thx in advance.
Awesome tones. I also have a spark. Though I use the Friedman for my modern gain and the Rocker V (orange ish) patch for 80s stuff. With the OD in front pushing it gives you a very Mick Mars esk tone. Toned back you get a more Def Leppard style thing. Obvious buckets of chorus and delay and a slap back for BIG noises.
Excellent playing/Tones!, I'm really tempted to buy, BUT!!, ~ Are these tones really achievable real time?, as I 've listened to many Spark demo's which sound like they have a towel over the speakers/Very Bass Heavy. I already have an original Yamaha THR 10 but quite tempted by your 80's Rock tone on the Spark.
I believe the tones we are hearing have been recorded from the line out. The speakers have an entirely different sound. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
How are you recording the audio from the guitar? Are you getting it into your DAW via the USB? Are you monitoring your guitar audio thru the DAW or are you listening to the Spark speakers while youre recording? Do you have a separate camera recording the ipad and put them together in your video editing program? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Making this a preset but I would like to make a request; I cannot find a good acoustic simulation preset. Something that can emulate a 6 string (and maybe another for 12 string) for the electric guitar. If anyone can do it surely you can! Thanks.
Hey! how did you record? did you use the USB or a mic? I've been trying to dial in tones and no matter what I do, it sounds muddy and fizzy. Using a PRS SE C24 direct to Garage Band.
Did you install the ASIO drivers from PG support site? Make sure you do and select the spark40 as your input device and if it has a buffer, set it to the lowest possible.
My spark lasted about 2 hours before it stopped working. Noise issues. I hope you all have better luck than I did. This product should have spent more time in R&D. Customer service is pretty lame. DO NOT BUY THIS AMP! YOU WILL REGRET IT!
@@beniesti I may have been a little harsh. This was a great little unit, I just got a bad one. Customer service is not great with this company, I feel stuck with something I cannot use. I will hopefully be able to exchange it for a good one.✌
@@CentaurusRelax314 Sadly, I just wanted a replacement amp. They refunded my money, so I just left it at that. I was sick of dealing with them. Very poor customer service. I might try again down the road when they get it together.

I love the crisp recordings you guys make.
It's in the name for sure "Studio Rats" 👍
Thank you very much!
This is the sound I was looking for!
Cheers from Finland ✨
I love my Spark40! Best small amp I have ever heard after 35 years playing!
Just dialed it into my amp - sounds great for Strangers in the night!

Delighted with my Spark. This is a really great channel.
Cheers Peter.
Cool. Im gonna try it tonight. Thanks mate
We need more videos like these
Hey did you upload your tones to cloud ? I want them ☺️

Just got my Spark last night and dying to dig in after work! This is a great tone.
How do you like it? I love mine! Best little amp I have heard in years and love the fact you can use it as a bluetooth speaker!

Best channel ever, all these Spark tones you teach are great!
That’s real nice to hear.
Received my Spark today... the neighbours are going to be listening to 80‘s Rock Tone all night tonight🤘Great vid, as always. Thx.
Good thing everyone likes the 80's Tito!
Great demo - thanks for the tips! Have had mine for a couple of months and it is a blast.
Thanks John, glad you’re enjoying it.

Look for "TSR - 80's Rock" in the cloud.
He literally shows you what he's doing step by step.

Excellent video thanks. Set up the sound as you were doing it and it and saved as new, sounds great. More to come I hope.
Cheers Thomas, there are previous videos on the spark, have a look at the playlist, an yes more to come.
excellent dude, simply excellent...thanks
Great tone Paul! Love that little box so much :)
Sounds pretty cool Paul! Love 80s rock. Can you share it by uploading it to the tone cloud??
I can't wait for mine to be delivered. Bern longing for some decent tone.
Does the chorus sound like it's in stereo in the room? Cool video
It does yes
Great 80s tone ..... can you add it this patch on tone cloud?........ Thanks

Cool Sound come from your Settings...go on...👍😉
I think the BE 101 is the Bogner Ecstasy 101b. Lukather uses this amount others.
Awesome, again. How about Dream Theater/Floyd tones? :)
Gee you love that compressor. :)
Hey Dude, is it possible to have videos with a Les Paul and the spark. The sounds are realy not the same on my gibson. A fan and newbe.thx
I’m afraid I don’t have a les paul. The next one I do is with a Prs which will be more Gibson like.
Cool...thx for your work👍😉
Awesome video. Thank you. Subscribed.
80s were all stereo and tri chorus for the clean and detuned or micropitched in stereo for the lead chunky tone

How does he record?
Hi m8, could you mayb upload the tone on the tonecloud? :D
Grandioso!!!
Where do you connect the amp to some monitor and to the computer or is it the direct sound of the amp?
It’s the headphones out
But the sound that comes out is through the speakers of the amp or some external monitor?

Paul uses headphone out with trs y cable
Where is this, price-wise, between a katana 50 (1) and a kemper profiler (10) ?

Not because you encountered some issues then everyone will regret buying it, even if written in capital letters.
