This is a huge issue for me. The artifact weapon example is what blizz should do. Ffxiv does the same thing, one item for duel wielding. It’s so much better imo
So, then, practically, when upgrading, does it make any sense to upgrade a non-cantrip off-hand before most or all of your other gear is upgraded? Like if upgrading the ilvl of the off-hand increases the cantrip effect, then that makes sense. But it sort of seems like if there's no cantrip effect on the off-hand, there's no point? Probably I have gotten confused here somehow?
Yeah that’s a big janky too though I feel cause why do I have 2 daggers but only get to wear one of them in this specific slot? Maybe something like mages with wand/offhand, but that doesn’t fix the gearing issue or the weirdly unintuitive fact that your offhand isn’t contributing damage
they could simply make every single weapon type combined in a single item slot imo , like there would be dual sword drops which is 2x 1h weapons or like sword and shield for tanks and dagger pairs for rogues , this only requires some work around UI and stuff like that but something similar was there in legion where you could check your sword and shield stats so i can't really understand why blizzard throw away what they do great and try to find temporary solutions later on..
This has screwed me over in the past multiple times in prior xpacs. A second dagger would just not drop from m+ or raid, and there was nothing I could do about it. And typically in my guild I'm the only rogue, so no one else could put their spec loot to something that would drop daggers to help out. Would Loooove to see Legion style gearing as you said. Dragonflight ended up easier only because I could craft a dagger.
This was particularly bad in Season 3. The Cruel Dream carver was Unique equipped, and the only other dagger in raid dropped from T-Swift. Now, T-Swift was a HUGE step up in difficulty from previous bosses and my guild never even got M TSwift down. I'm guessing it was out of reach for most guilds, too. So I ran that damn m+ for the cantrip dagger every week until the season ended. It never did drop.
They have good ideas, it just always feels like they refuse to actually build on stuff. They’ll add something as a patch experiment and then delete it the next and it never comes back
@@whispyr5793 I mean, not trying to justify Blizzard, but probably they have put themselves into a corner by releasing patch after patch like bandaids on some garbage code that now is 20 years old, and that's for sure a difficult position to be in if you want to change some of the fundamental systems of the game. But yeah, I agree that it would be great if there was less patch over patch over new systems and more iterations on the actually good features
imo blizzard has just pulled the stats back way to much. its just boring, there is a point it becomes to much but more stats and effects would be more fun. maybe do a couple patches where the sims cant help you and you gotta just try stuff like the old days. i welcome things like hit rating, armor pen, multistrike etc..
The more complexity you add the more you need to rely on stuff like sims to figure it out, they’re very efficient and very accurate at doing exactly that
Right now with it being simple you can just do ilvl > everything else and you don’t need sims, but the moment you make things more complex and add hit rating breakpoints it’s doomed
@whispyr5793 yeah i get what your saying i was just throwing out a hypothetical. I get that super smart people will always figure out what is bis i just meant there being more flavor in the game. ilvl over everything is just old and tired to me. just wish there was more item exploration to the game instead of plug n play sims on everything.

ashkandur was unique-equipped so you could only have one of them but in general this problem is definitely bad
Oh really, my guild war was complaining about it guess he’s cooked
@@whispyr5793wtf is wrong with your hair …. Jesus
omfg I've been telling people this, even with a similar suggested outcome since even BEFORE legion existed. I've been on this train forever.
You really caught me of guard with that macro-dagger to kingsbane 😬lmao 😂
:)

correct, if your offhand is a non-cantrip it usually is one of the weakest upgrades to spend crests on
I haven't finished the video yet, but can anyone post the Cruel Dreamcarver macro for me? I wasn't aware about doing that before now.
There is no dreamcarver macro, people macro it because they don’t know what it does and that’s the whole problem
It’s a permanent buff after you cast it on something, the buff changing dependent on what the creature type is
LMAO
Great, hate life as a dual wielder even more. Thanks for the excellent video!!
My solution would be to make cantrips main hand only
Yeah that’s a big janky too though I feel cause why do I have 2 daggers but only get to wear one of them in this specific slot?

Tbh I get your point, but I Kind of like the rp factor of having to get 2 weapons, and the stat flexablity also is nice, banger yapping anyways
or just make Dagger into DaggerS and only need 1 and be done with it.

Yoooo I literally have my dreamcarver macroed into my kingsbane LMAO
Such a good idea... shame blizz doesn't listen to good ideas...

Need to actually iterate on things if they should be good

Lets go

Monster first :3
But Whisper I forgot to ask you something: Is it worth it? :D
What’s it truly mean for something to be worth it. Feeling a bit philosophical ya know
bro, I agree with you, but stop making sense. Blizzard never listens to common sense..LMAO.
Ashkandur is unique equipped.
Yeah yeah already heard
My guilds fury warrior is cooked what else is new
You can't wear 2 Ash'kandur... WTF are you on about ?
Yeh guild war was saying nonsense be like that sometimes
Hmmm okay I’ll just quit the game.
Reasonable reaction
