This man is so confident and so soothing. No hyper macho nonsense. A man’s man, and he gives these animals the sense of safety and security that they maybe never had before. I dig this a lot.

We don’t know what relationship this Donkey had with its previous owner . He doesn’t look abused , neither does Ruby . The fact the person ended up in prison , does not mean they abused their animals . Maybe this boy is missing his previous owner . Animals create huge bonds with humans . Poor lad .He really is in the best place now to find trust again ❤️

I do love the fact that you spend time with the animals - the trust you are gaining will go a long way. They are all attached to your kind, gentle and soft approach to them. I love the therapy you are doing with them psychologically. They truly understand what you are saying to them. I am betting he/they have never had such love in their lives.
Touch is so very important for animals.
Let's face it how many humans have had this much love and attention on a daily basis. This is a terrific role model for how you should treat people as well.

Aww Barry's come such a long way, frm when this video was taken. I remember seeing the picture of him before he came to the sanctuary, standing on a dirt road by himself. Julian,, your sweet little chat here, so quiet and calm, it was just what he needed. Now Barry 's a happy contented boy. Glad I got to see the transformation. You should write a book about the personalities of your animals, what you have found out about their psyche, and the healing process of each one, animals are gifts from heaven, they heal us too.
Phillip and Ruby are too funny. I have rescued animals in two countries and know what grateful looks like in animals. If they lick you, they trust you.
That’s all animals around the world need is to b well taken care of with plenty of good food , love and friendship

All donkeys I’ve known loved inner ear scratches. I’ve shown my horses how wonderful it can be too. It takes them longer to get used to it. Once they do they love it.
