There’s enough drama online so I’m not about to say something negative in the comments of the scrapbooking videos I watch. I’m here to pick up tips and new ideas. If I don’t like a layout, I’ll usually still give a thumbs up because I know the time it took the creator and I know it helps their channel. Thanks for all you do!!!

OMG, i’m with you, Lisa! Shading is fine whenever you want to use it especially to make something stand out from the colour behind it. My son recently bought me a few small cubes so I can shade more now that I have a variety of stamp pads to choose from. Who the heck cares if it’s in or out or a thing or not a thing? It’s in a scrapbook. It’s supposed to last a long time for generations. so by 80 years from now everything will be in and out and back in again! 😅 personally I don’t care. I’m making the pages and they are heartfelt and I love them. Whether I look at them today or 20 years from now they warm my heart. Just my opinion. 😊
Such a cute layout! You know I love that sketch book! I ink whenever I remember to...if I've gone too far to pick things up, I just let it go. Sometimes the paper just doesn't "feel" like it needs to be inked and that's OK too. YOU DO YOU!!!
I love double page layouts and ones that allow for 4x6 photos since that's what I normally print. I also love carousels. Who cares if something is "a thing or not". Do what you like.
I'm glad you enjoy layouts with 4x6 photos. This sketch book is a favorite of mine. I agree, I am going to do what I enjoy...my friends/family have no idea what is in style 🤣
Great layout! I stopped inking as much because I started machine stitching on all my layouts, I think it’s nice to have something to Finnish off the edges of the paper, I also use to outline the papers edge.
Thank you! Stitching on layouts really adds so much to them. I tried machine stitching (I had a cheap machine) and it didn't work well for me. So I just stick with hand stitching but I love the look of both.
I totally agree with angelagoos2206...there's enough drama, negativity in this world! I try to stay in my lane. It is definitely your personal preference. As Nicole says --you do you. I love your layouts and you do an awesome job....so keep doing you!
I was a double page only gal until I started watching UA-cam videos and taking online classes. Most creators did 1-page only layouts. I now do about 1/2 & 1/2. Part of that is because my kids are grown and I get texted 2 or 3 pix of an event which work better on a 1-page. Anyway, long ramble to say I was so excited to find your 2-page channel!
One thought on inking....in 20 years, I'm not going to remember if I made the page when inking was "a thing" or later on when I visited a throw-back technique. Hmmm.... doesn't matter. I ink when it enhances the layout. Sometimes this girl is lazy and I don't. Nothing controversial in my opinion. There. Now you know where I stand. :) This layout is way fun. I'm suddenly wishing it was summer and I was at the zoo. Thanks for sharing.
@@nataliepetersen4502 Agreed! And, I feel like scrapbooking is such a PERSONAL hobby. You are making pages that consist of memories for yourself, your family, whoever you are scrapbooking about or for. So, it makes very little difference whether your techniques are popular or dated or something that just you do. What matters is that you are creating a page that you can look at and spark an emotion or a memory. 🩷❤️
