Seriously Behringer... You guys are incredible. I've been wanting a proper Wavetable synth for years now, and waited for this one. You can't understand how happy I am, becoming a proud owner of this wonderful instrument very soon.
Wow - super excited about this! A dream come true... always been a huge fan of the PPG since it saw the light of day in my hometown Hamburg, Germany in the late 70s. Would love to get the Tangerine Dream "Exit" sound in my own studio :D THANKS, BEHRINGER! I'll definitely get one in 2025.
They should make a plug-in version of the Waveterm computer which is capable of sampling with the ability to transfer samples to the keyboard like the Waveterm.
Amazing. Love seeing Behringer producing unobtanium synths (and modules)! Me: I'm not gonna spend any more money on Synths this year. Behringer: *whips this out*
I love Behringer synths!!! I currently own the DeepMind 12. I will now purchase the Wave! Behringer please please make a 88 keys synth!!! I love the usability, quality, and price point! Thank you Behringer.
I did preorder it immediately when it showed up on Thomann. Crazy price for a great machine 👍 But i have a feature request already :) The LCD shows a LOT of cryptic shortcuts and i would love to see an alternative setting for the OLED that shows the whole name of the parameter you select in the LC display.
@@Tulio_Laanen They announce their Synths in advance in order to give potential clients the opportunity to contribute ideas during the development process. That approach might be perfect for some clients and there are others who don't like it.
Love my SQ-80, which was a garage find for $100. In a lot of ways, this is already quite similar. The hybrid of digital waves going through analog filters is a wonderfully unique sound character.
The blue synth body looks great. I am so glad they did not make another fire engine red synth. The button layout looks very different than any other synth I have owned. It looks like it would be fun to explore. It sounds great.
I have owned many synths, and have been making electronic music since about 1985. I have never owned a Behringer synth, only a few small Xenyx mixers, used as sub-mixers. I think I will finally buy one. This. Amazing recreation!
Is it multi-timbral like the original? To make up for not having effects, the original had 8 parts allowing you to create multiple distinct and huge sounds.
Yes a sampler keyboard would be great. But I'd hope they'd mimic something closer to a VSS-30 or VSS-200 -- very easy to use fast workflow. Preferably with dedicated ADSR knobs, limited multi-sampling, and crossfading.
@@3dsman It's funny, I have both an original EPS and the EPS-16. I think Ensoniq's was the most intuitive use of a multi-line display, and used actual words to describe what you were trying to do. So many older synths and samplers had a simple one line display or just a segment display with an obscure number. Still, if you are going to re-release something, i'm always in the 'make it better' camp!
@@MrVein5.0 Sorry, I'm still bitter afer being very disapointed by both the RD-8 and forthcoming LM Drum designs. Both products would've been so much nicer with more authentic buttons and pads… And it's not only a problem of aesthetics. Over the years, I have come to realize that hard mechanical buttons in general provide a better workflow and experience, in the sense that they are more easily and rapidly triggered than flabby rubber pads, not to mention the natural "click" sound that confirms your actions ;) Behringer, please take that into consideration.

AHHHH! I've been waiting for this! BRAVO Behrenger! And it's got the sound too! Love the little waveform display too, that is a nice touch I did not see on the prototypes.
Absolutely marvelous and sounds amazing, the PPG Wave 2.3 was one of my favorite synths back in the 80'S. Now Behringer should make a plug-in emulation of the Waveterm computer which offers Wavetable manipulation, sampling and the ability to transfer those samples and waves to the keyboard, that completes the total experience of what the PPG is capable of.

Very impressive. I'm glad Behringer are doing this great work and bringing these iconic instruments to a new audience. Excellent work.

Its amazing even on UA-cam how much better this sounds than the Waldorf VST of the PPG
