That is an incredibly intelligent cat, by peeing in water the sent is erased, Cat knows it doesn't have to clean up after itself to hide its sent, if that cat was in the wild it would be like the wild card of staying stealth from praying animals

🤔 Hmmm... Why would she do this? Also, she seems to take a long time to 'do her business.' As a longtime cat owner, this behavior worries me. I hope I am concerned unnecessarily (I do not know bobcat behavior), but is she okay?

This woulda been a LOT better if someone had run in there and retrieved the dirty bowl immediately to keep kitty safe. The baby looks stressed to me. Why was the bowl empty to begin with??? No water?
There was water in the bowl. Big cats pee in their water in the wild to cover their scent against predators. They do come in and change it out frequently. She is not stressed. She is in a small room because she was rescued with a broken leg and has a plate and screws in her leg. They want to be sure it is healed before putting her outside in rehab to prepare her for going free when she grows up and learns to hunt.
