Yes, welcome to any German front at this point of the war... :) Even if the industry is able to produce the parts for the planes, there are no trained pilots to fly them... I'm sure the game will produce some new ones in a week or so, but in reality, in the last few months of the war Germany would produce much more planes than it had men to pilot them...
That's what the Germans, Japanese and Soviets did. Their aces often flew until they died or were captured. Meanwhile the British and Americans would often take their aces and keep them to train new pilots, hence why allied aces often had less kills as they ultimately flew less sorties.
Yeah! Someone would probably have told me so but I did not ask. So you are left me trying to turn with one :) Seriously, the first time with Mustang, even AI, :D A year and a half and I'm still on a learning curve.... :)

Turn fighting anything in a D-9 is usually a bad idea. I mean it sort of works against AI but still. D-9 is clearly a energy fighter. But I'm super bad at it. That is why I also struggle with the late war German planes. I always end up in turn fight which obviously works against me... That is why I have much more success in the Spitfires. But yea I have G6/G14 Bodenplatte career running and holy fuck are the losses bad. Most of the time we can't field a full Squadron... I had one free hunt mission where I was the only one to come back... feels bad man.

Ouch... Eight out of nine pilots went up. Now, there are only five pilots in the unit who are fit to fly.
