In design there is a golden rule, you may not like something BUT you have to admit it's well done/ made for those who do. I would also never use a strap like this BUT works fine for this watch... see? Definitely an aviator, in fact a piece of the cockpit 🧿🔻👍 Kudos.
The main reason why I find the strap to work well with this watch is due to the lug with. The watch has only 20mm lugs. A 20mm straight strap on a 42 mm case would look bad and very small. This strap is tapered on the ends so it looks to have a better proportion with the case. I couldn't find any other strap with the same 20-24mm size.
Yes you could. But you have to look for the right sized hands as replacement. Standard Seiko hands for automatic movements won't fit on most sii quartz movements.
I had contacted the mentioned manufacturer directly from their Chinese website (It wasn't easy because they don't speak English). Actually they don't have that case for sale and they usually accept only orders of more than 100pcs. Luckily, for what I was able to understand, the person I chatted with has got some case left from the previous production batch.

Wow, what a great find and a brilliant idea to make it into a very military looking Aviation watch. Great job, I think it looks fantastic.
