the school system is fried ! i take my son on field trips , we have school outdoors and he's ahead of other kids his age . he also gets plenty of social time . home school doesn't mean stay at HOME school lol . people really have the wrong idea when it comes to that .

Certain issues go beyond mere opinion. Supporting something as reprehensible as racism, xenophobia, homophobia, transphobia, etc. warrants condemnation. It's also understandable why people expect celebrities to speak out; we elevate them, so the least they can do is demonstrate decency. These celebrities refusal to denounce the current genocides that are happening is why there's now growing discontent with celebrity culture-most don't deserve their platforms. Are they required to speak out? No. But why would they not want to? These celebrities have so much more power than they're given credit for. If Taylor Swift were to say just one thing about Gaza, her Swifties would be out in the streets protesting the next day. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect the people we give fame to be good people. Before anyone says it's not their issue, it is. Our American tax dollars are funding this.
I think the point people were making that people idolize these celebrities like gods and people will do WHATEVER they say know matter what. And that’s a problem Someone can be talking nonsense & people would know but still do what they say b/c there Nicki Minaj, Beyonce or Taylor Swift
