@@hydrohasspoken6227 AI is hitting plateaus and breaking past them constantly. It's already scary what some can do. What it will be capable of when it hits a *true* plateau is what scares me.
@@allste626 , get your fear in check, or your girlfriend won't feel secure at your side anymore. Joking. It didn't hit any plateau yet. It seems to be in an exponential growth curve. Will hit the plateau with 5 years. And once a year in the next decades you will hear CEOs talking about the impending super AG. You know, just like the super battery technology and impending China's economy collapse that I hear since the 90's.
Imagine if this actually DID release in 2003. That would be CRAZY eh? I mean, people would go nuts; as the technology we had back then would never even dream of doing that.
I'd spend hours rolling for a good result, try to save, get pissed off that I had to pay to save it because I was in 9th grade at the time, then leave it to rot on the rented desktop of the cyber cafe I frequently go to after school. Then I'd play Ragnarok or CnC Generals instead.
Yep. I'm one of those people who works directly with AI and has learned to do this really well. It's always jarring to see how people often just don't notice something is off about the script or text more generally. We really are living through a cultural shift. Reminds me of that chinese proverb :((
Just curious is this all done in actual Windows XP or just a reskin of Windows 10/11 with XP theme? Plus the coding and website part, are they also just done on a Windows 10/11 with a XP theme or what. I'm just so curious and fascinated with your videos and their style.
I’m pretty sure this is plain editing. Internet Explorer 6 is impossible to install on Windows 11, and it doesn’t support the modern SSL certificates, so it wouldn’t even work on XP anyway. This could be a Firefox reskin made to look like an old version of IE, but I don’t think such stylesheet exists rn. Why would you even go as far as to reskin the OS when you can compile everything in some kind of DaVinci and add some VHS filter on top of it?
I'm sure that it is not editing in the sence that you're saying, if you go to the description it clearly proves my point plus there is already Win 10 XP reskin i don't know if there any for Win 11 but yeah! And the vhs filter is authentic i think, i think he used real old vhs cams.@@FF9F00
I don't know how he does it, but this is how i would do it. You can still install windows xp on an old PC you have lying around. Creating the software is also easy enough, you can do this on a modern pc, make sure you use an old version of .NET Framework so it can run on Windows XP. Then there's this standardized thing called Windows Forms that most programs in the 2000s used. To develop the UI (the visuals) for a WinForms application, you essentially just drag and drop buttons, loading bars, etc onto the frame as you see it, and your final program looks the same. Next, a little programming knowledge gets you to load pre-generated AI images at various levels of completion, and have the progress bar pretend to be generating by incrementing it every 500ms or so. Then you grab an old camera if you have it for accuracy, or slap some filters on the video, record an audio track and you end up with stuff like this.
@@yeresin yeah but thats frankly harder to get to run on an old system. might as well just buy an ancient pc and monitor for 20 dollars someplace and run it on that right

A lot in this video is well or insanely well done - the voice, the different themes :D What throws me off are the sentences displayed in the software about it being a beta and that a purchase for the full software can be made. That is not logical. First it is either a beta version or a release version. Second is the pricing model, which has nothing to do with the software version. It can be a beta, and still a shareware with limited features until bought (-> "registered copy" (not as in "software version")). Then a Disclaimer, that the software is still in beta would have been sensible. It can also be a release version and the same things apply (distribution as shareware, without the beta-disclaimer). It just would be irrational, at least very very unusual or has never happened to my knowledge, that a software is distributed in beta, and inside the beta you can buy the release version with more features. If that is to be the (again would-be-unusual) case depicted here, then it would also be a sadly missed opportunity to not make a reference to shareware as a form of distribution that was completely normal in the 90s and is almost extinct today. I lived through all that and then am doing software development for the last 15 years so please accept a small critique from someone that is thrown off by even small details ^^
I absolutely hate that the panel(s) holding the radio groups appear to be "raised" instead of "sunken" making them look like gigantic buttons. Then I remember that at the time many programmers were indeed "lone wolves" with zero design experience - and they were constantly making mistakes like that because they completely misunderstood how certain UI widgets were supposed to look & feel :-p

It’s had its own web app for almost a year now, it’s just restricted to users who have generated over 1000 images.
You captured that 2000s local tv network documentary perfectly.

The only minor detail is that around 2003 most people still used a mechanical ball mouse instead of an optical mouse 0:15
