I just failed my first test because I didn’t prepare. I got dizzy after the stairs 😂 but these are great exercises. I have three weeks til my next try so I’ll see what I can do between now and then.
I'm number 20 in my town, and we'll into the 100s for placement in surrounding towns. Once you're on the list it seems like forever that you might get a chance
I'm 15 and it is my dream to be a firefighter and I'm wondering if I should do these things diffrent becuase of my younger age or just keep them the same
It's a great way to practise it for sure. There are movement restrictions with all the gear. I agree with your recommendation, make sure as you prep for the cpat start to get used to the added weight of the vest, helmet and gloves... good stuff
@@getfrf here they make you do the vo2 max in complete gear helmet pants jacket scba ect plus coveralls under the gear once you pass that they you move on to the course still in full gear takes about 3 hrs
I'm just searching up videos to prepare myself mentally and workout physically for my CCCs training. I'm wondering if a fire crew training comes into picture such as passing the Cpat for the CCC'S. Plus I'm just looking at getting better in health in general. I want the ability of being at the right position with the training. So I'm not slacking. Better to start sooner than later right? If you got any way of giving advice besides the video that'll be appreciated. If you have the time sir.
Thanks for the comment.. Integrating these movements into a complete workout program will help you and your crew. And YES, better sooner than later. Let me know if you have more questions...
Hey I have a question I just passed the cpat and I start fire college come September. I heard there was a physical test as soon as you get in do you know what the test is and have any training methods for it? I would just like to know if it will be like push-ups or miles or what if you know I would for some help and tips if not it’s okay but awesome video👍🏻
Hey Gavin, congrats on passing the CPAT and starting your career in the fire service. Each academy program is a little different, some do a lot of running and calisthenics, some actually do not do anything other than the physical fireground exercises. My suggestion would be to reach out to the fire college and ask what type of testing they do, or ask some of the students that have completed it. Then, let me know what you find and I can prepare or suggest some programming... Hope this helps. Zam
A lot of cities will offer practice sessions for the CPAT which I highly recommend doing. You can make equipment out of tires, pails of sand and water and use these as equipment.. You can connect with me if you have more questions. www.FireRescueFitness.com
I hope this video helps. Feel free to reach out to me at www.FireRescueFitness.com I have some great workouts and resources to help you prepare. Get started today building your strength and functional capacity. You can do this! Let me know how I can help. zam

If you fail the first time , is it true you have only 1 more try after to pass ?
You can take it again but will have to pay and register again
can fat people pass training
Lmao wtf
😭😭
If you need to prepare to pass the Cpat, you're gonna have a really hard time surviving academy.
The Cpat should be comedically easy if you're in firefighter shape.
You gotta start somewhere man.
