Amazing walk through, I stole it and used it!
All my girls took a leap in their basic skill level, even the ones that already had a decent hesitation. Grateful and impressed!

Hey Dj I got a 11 year old 5’7 5th grader who can’t grasp the concept of the flick of the wrist on her jump shot... She’s can’t be guarded in the open court or driving the ball too the whole. But her pull-up jumper game ain’t clicking yet cause of the unorthodox release... avg 24pts
    11rbs 5asst 4stl ain’t no telling how many turnovers 😂.... Any tips

From my experience as a trainer, what helps with that is one hand close to the basket form shooting with emphasis on snapping the wrist and holding the follow through after every shot

Not educated on the Achilles’ tendon, but if you did these moves full force or speed would you be at a high risk of pulling it?

I do this move quite a bit and I do it easily by just breaking it the knee with my feet planted. You don't really need to raise and lower your heal like that. break at the knee and rock back your hips.

I hate to be that guy, but all of these trainers are overrated. I see kids all of the time, go to these trainers and then never do the stuff they worked on, in games. The best way to get better, is by actually playing basketball. You can’t simulate actual game situations, with these trainers. All of this stuff has to just come natural and be a reaction. You can see the kids literally thinking about what they’re doing.

Unfortunately you are wrong. DJ trained with Kyrie Irving and Steve Nash who do these type of drills all the time. In basketball you can't make moves on the court which you can't make fluently in training with no defense. That simply won't work. Even the GOAT Michael Jordan did these fundamental training drills all the time. This is the value of deliberate practice.

U definitely can… legendary players like Kobe n Mike are visualise opponents, traps, double teams, etc. everytime they stepped onto the court. Their movements seem so precise because they simulate scenarios in their head while practicing… elite players tend to do that and low level players don’t understand that concept at all.

Your hips don’t go forward on the shot fake. Your weight shifts onto your back foot shifting your whole body back but your shoulders more than your hips.
