Being on the Windward side, i have mangoes that can handle wet conditions. Carrie, Rapoza, Fairchild, Keitt, Kook Lom Krong, Neem Kiram, Kasturi, and Lalee Jewo.
Hey sir! Been watching your videos for awhile now and always said that view is so familiar, turns out I’m your neighbor 😂, my family and I are like three houses down white house with green roof with the panels. We just moved here full time after coming back and forth the last couple years, would love to meet up whenever you have time to talk story. Working on our own pasture to food forest project here 😅
I have experimented with a variety of weeding strategies for pineapple. I used to use cardboard but it is very time consuming for such large beds so now I mostly just mulch with grass clippings and I weed regularly when the pineapples are young and it’s easier to get at the weeds. Once they fill in they do a decent job of suppressing the weeds on their own. I also tarped this row for 3 months before planting so I killed a lot of weeds that way. It’s not perfect but it seems a good balance for now.
Lovely update! Thanks for sharing.
Looks great, it's cool to see how much material you're able to prune off and use as mulch now.

That’s a great variety. Have you gotten a chance to evaluate how well they fruit yet?
@@ainabearfarm8075 No fruit yet. I'm tipping them to keep them small and compact. Carrie and Keitt are the most vigorous growers of the ones I have.

That’s awesome! Welcome. It would be great to connect. Just email me when you get a chance: ludesbear@gmail.com
Did you weed the pineapples with a weed whacker? How will you weed once they are larger?
