Awesome podcast Shay! Also, I believe it all comes down to passion & profitability...If you enjoy and are profitable in buying & holding, then stick with it. The same goes for Day Trading. Ultimately, having both skills or multiple sources of income should be your main goal to help avoid placing all your eggs in the same basket😉
So Brandon, maybe I missed it in the video, what is your current average return on your diversified portfolio? For instance, to be specific, what return have you had since Feb 1, 2021 (or the last 2.5 years), so I can contrast that with a specific return that I have on a TFSA.
It’s always good to have a financial plan. I work with a licensed planner and fixed-income strategist in LA. The fixed income portion of your portfolio won’t simply serve as a buffer to the volatility of the equity portion of your portfolio, but will provide legitimate income
As a new day trader this is super interesting to understand the long game! Thank you for including this in your interviews! I've never heard stocks broken down on this.
I’ve had majority of my holdings in tech stocks and irrespective of market changes, I’ve done pretty well especially with apple’s P/E gaining over 30% this past decade, now my questions is what stocks do you think will be the next apple in terms of growth for the next decade.
It might be difficult finding the next apple within the tech stock sector, apple has performed way better than the others, maybe look outside of tech stocks.
well things are different now, same market strategies applied over last decade wouldn’t apply to the current market, so to actually figure out how to outperform the market and stay afloat for the next decade
after my portfolio took a major hit in 2020, I really had to rethink my plans for the future, so I reached out to a pro which really helped me balance up my losses.
I am currently working with CHRIS RYAN STEWART a broker my friend linked me up with. I believe his info is available on ONLINE. Thanks to him my friend and I have been making a lot money on the stock market. It's been great
"Great show, great host and great guest!" My 2 fav superhero Cdn financial gurus together! Would have loved to see you at MoneyShow, but not meant to be.
Thank You HT! I like what you said about getting a loan rather than selling stock from our longterm accounts to pay less taxes. My question about this is. The money we use to pay this loan off will have been taxed as income or capital gains. So I dont see the benefit? Mind you I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed but Ive been thinking about this for awhile and it hasnt clicked yet?!?
Hypothecation (borrowing against a portion of one’s equity in an asset [stocks, real estate, etc]) is a way for one to tap that equity without selling the asset. Doing so-armed with a good financial plan-could help one unlock more value out of one’s portfolio (by putting more of one’s money to work). A HELOC and home equity loan is an example of a hypothecation for real estate. A stock loan is an example of a hypothecation for equities. Many companies hypothecate against their receivables, inventory, and/or equipment. Hypothecating only makes sense when one will make a higher return on the borrowed money than one will pay out as interest.
Good clip as usual. I started as a day trader and even was with your platform for a few months. Now I am in dividends, safer for me. On my Interactive Brokers platform, I cannot do short, and even though your platform was so good, sometimes I was not able to trade, as I cannot do short, so I left. Good luck, you do a good job.
Video ideas: the future of trading and possible effects of so on the market/traders. As an options scalper I worry that increased use of so by institutional traders and retail traders will shrink the market imbalance/arbitrage to almost nothing. 😮 I would really like to know what you and your guests think. 👍 thanks.
Great interview - especially for us Canadians! Learned many new nuggets. Loving how relaxed and chilled you both are. It's so true that finances is so rarely taught in schools or homes; at least there is now content out there. Go Canadians!
I guess it's a question of how much capital you have. If all you have is $1K, even if you make 100% annual return in passive investments, that will only make you $1K a year. Compare that to a mere 10% of $1-M.
You are a best to the world God will continue blessings you for all the free knowledge that you are giving us 🙏🙏 I know you help a lot of people please help me, you have be my mentor for three years now, please if you help me with any challenge account i promise you I will pass it 🙏🙏🙏
Found his take on people that are older than him interesting. It came up often lol. I’m his age and I don’t think I ever found a need to call older people than myself, “old.” 😅 just interesting.
Meh, this guy was given money by his dad and makes his income from UA-cam. Buys random large cap stocks and holds for 30 years. Basically index investing and calling it unique because he's buying the individual stock. Nothing new or interesting here. Worst video from HT in a while. 🥱
Buy & Hold? Or day trade? 🤔

Best to have a dividend portfolio to pay the bills and trade for extra income only.
Affirmative.
Here's a question: Do you have knowledge of any AI for trading?
My three favorite channels: Humbled Trader, Stock Brotha, & Zip Trader. Make my week complete! 🔥 🔥 🔥
cheers thanks!
What questions do you have for Brandon? 📈

As a new day trader this is super interesting to understand the long game! Thank you for including this in your interviews! I've never heard stocks broken down on this.
Both, have been investing for the last 5 years but learning to day trade now as a new skill/ side hustle.

That’s impressive, have you always had a financial advsior?
after my portfolio took a major hit in 2020, I really had to rethink my plans for the future, so I reached out to a pro which really helped me balance up my losses.
and how has that worked out for you so far?
Investments are an absolute game changer with the right information anybody can 100x their finances that is how the rich keep getting richer
Most people tend to overlook how helpful financial advisors are they don't put in time to seek out ways to effectively capitalize in the market

Having a financial advisor like CHRIS RYAN STEWART goes a long way. He has been helping me since I started trading in the stock market.
Hope that you have a good time at that Money Show in Toronto tomorrow!!! I Enjoy your channel and enjoy seeing trading from another perspective. :)

Had never heard of a TFSA account before-- is it only available to Canadians in Canada? Is it similar to a 401k in the US?
Yes that’s right!

How can Canadian traders keep their stock gains when the tax rate is so high? Why would any trader want to live in such a high-tax country as Canada?
So good ❤❤

Albeit quite vanilla, still good to get different perspectives lol I concur, its not really for HT target audience though
