2023 update: Dedicated to Rishi Sunak, Suella Braverman, Lee Anderson and all the other ringleaders of the apocalypse.
Back then we were turning our back on Thatcherism with post-Cold War confidence for a more progressive Britain in the Nineties. I don't know where we went wrong in the past few years, but I hope we can get the country back again.

Love Billy Bragg - but man, he made some terrible videos! See also: Sexuality. Much better off just listening to the audio - or seeing him live. Which is clearly the way he'd prefer it.
Too much sugar in this version. I think our BB wanted a single. Recorded or dubbed in Cambridge MA at Fort Apache during tour in 1991. The original version on the album is much better with Granto on the board.
