I’ve lost all my tools while going through a hardship with my health while I was still in the Air Force prior to retirement. Now I’ve built up a small amount of tools and I’m hoping to move into a new house to us so I can further my woodworking and I can’t wait to build some flags like these. My dad made lawn furniture for a hobby, your shop reminds me of him. Helped him pick out lumber. It is hard work but satisfying. We spent a lot of time together. What do you use to make it so glossy. I've used a satin polyurethane but it doesn't come out that glossy. Any suggestions?
Sorry it took so long to reply back we use Varathane ultimate sparurethane
Keep doing what works for you. You will learn tips and tricks as you go. There are lots of excellent craftsmen on YT so check them all out.

what size are your flags?
I have three different sizes 48” x 26”/37 1/2 x 19 1/2/30 x 16 3/4
I only spotted 1 number in the video. And I could barely spot that.
