Diremerc here - Thanks for playing my map! It was certainly interesting getting to see someone else playing. I never expected someone would be able to hold the line using almost exclusivly basic troopers, I always used a combination of Troopers, Mk2 troopers, snipers and rockets when playtesting. Based on this replay I will implement a few changes such as a slight increase in the delay between waves and perharps some kind of incentive to keep the civilians safe.
I just finished it. Had to send wave after wave until the arachnids could kill no more.
Played it again. Had 160 supply. Used infantry, mk2 troops, and epulse cheese.
@@Wall9K New version is out, and even made a seperate hard mode for those looking for a better challenge.

Well sir you gave me another reason to get on and play this again I love helmsdeep maps.
The only way I could beat the map was doing everything in my power to keep the Fleet Liaison alive. Without her orbital bombardment skill, it seems impossible to handle the dozens of plasma granadiers that come with each wave.
Awesome vid and map. Yeah the civie apocalypse was dark.
All those openings is there a way to block them you know put up a wall or something
Can you play as the bugs in the game? Would be interesting to see how players handle the bugs.
There's no official missions where you play as the bugs yet but it is possible. There are some community content missions that have experimented with it. Brains Great Escape and Defense of Fort Rico are the two I have done so far.
