also the detail that the hitbox of some enemies doesn't match with them sprites, so they can touch you without kill you (e.g. the head of the "buffalos", the "minotaurs" when they are hooked to a "dragon" and where they are riding those giant rhinos, the tip of the giant toads's tongue at the levels where you have to climb a rope, the undead monster (that monster that appears when the time is out), also I think that when you are in the branch of a tree, those fire balls that come out of the holes in the ground, can't touch you)
Always fun to watch someone do things with a game that you've not seen before. And what a game -- music was perfect, bonus point land maybe the best of any game of this era.

26:35 Wow just wow dodging "death" plus making points! You mastered the game. When I play this game when "death" appears normally it's instantly death because the thingy moves too fast. It's too big and occupies a huge part of the screen so I thought it was impossible to avoid until I saw your video.
This is NOT HARDEST difficulty (called Difficult 3 on the arcade PCB and Hardest in MAME), it is played on HARD difficulty (called Difficult 2 on the arcade PCB and Hard in MAME). I know this due to the speed of the enemies and their behaviour on each round. From round 10 the enemies (especially ground crawlers) move much faster than in this video. This is also on the Japanese version (Arugosu no Senshi) which has extra life on the log bridge on round 14 which is not in Rygar worldwide version. It is excellent gameplay though! :)
Worked at a job that had a stand up console arcade machine in the lunchroom. It was one of those 1000 game setups. Most of the guy would play the usual, Streetfighter, Tekken etc. One day I’m scrolling through the game menu and I came across RYGAR, I hadn’t played it in over 30 years. Brought back so many memories, started playing it, next thing a bunch of the older guys my age were drawn over by the sound of that bass line. Turned out we’d all played this game as kids back in the 80s Pretty soon we were trying to beat each others high scores. It was a sad day when they took the console away. Easily one of the best games from the Golden Age of video games.
I remember Bonus Point 10.000 in the temple entrance, This is done by matching the numbers of your score with one of the time, an example is: Score: 19652[1]63 and for the time: 09[1]:13 and Keep the joystick in the left-down position together until mark them when entering, My Hi Score was 6.500000 (6.5 Million), something new that I learned in this gameplay is to break the stone on the left of the screen and grab the item when walking to the right, I do not know if in all the versions you can do it. very good

As principais dicas estão abaixo. - O ponto de interrogação é o campo de força (cruz), é preciso atirar nele até aparecer e tenha todos os escudos e ganhe 160 mil. - Os macacos que ficam um em cima do outro (a partir da 2 tela) se pegar todos ganha 10.000. (encoste quase neles e dê um tiro pra frente e os outros para o alto para ganhar os pontos). - Se pular na cabeça do gigante azul com o tigre ganha 50.000. O tigre só não deixa pegar carona no morcego, caso queira. - Na Parte 12 (tela do 1 milhão ) , há ocas (escondidas ou não) com muitas estrelas; após a 2º árvore podre há 4 estrelas escondidas no céu (a 4º está em cima da oca no galho da árvore), atire para o alto para achar, já na 3º árvore atire para cima e ache a 5º estrela, após a 3º árvore há a 6º estrela no céu e ao lado dela há a bandeira do 1 milhão, atire algumas vezes que vai fazendo barulho até ela cair em cima de você e você ganha esses pontos. (OBS: volte, suba pegue a estrela da árvore e a que está em cima do galho, e continue o jogo, não dá para pegar todas, mas é preciso atirar nelas para ganhar mais 70 mil). - Na tela 21 e 22 há monstros dentro da água que pula em você. - O último campo de força, na tela 25, só tem 10 segundos (pegue e corra para passar por aquelas bolas de fogo que sobe do buraco sem se queimar, assim não perde tempo) - Na Tela final há 2 guerreiros azuis um ao lado do outro e quando entrar na casa do mostro entre direto até ele pular por cima de você atire nele, ele pulará de volta, volte levemente e atire de volta que ele morre, ou entre direto e abaixe quando ele pular e fique abaixado, quando ele pular de volta, você pula na cabeça dele que mata (mas, nesse caso, se tiver o tigre). Etc. Para ganhar 10.000 pontos quando entrar na casa. No PLAYER1, o número abaixo da letra “E” tem que ser o mesmo representado nos segundos. Exemplo: 35830 então o tempo precisa ser XX8:XX segundos.
