Never played this in the arcades back in the day, although I did play Ghosts 'n Goblins a few times. I've played the Megadrive port of Ghouls 'n Ghosts to completion many times - there's some very minor differences with a couple of enemy animations (mainly bosses), but most of the game is exactly the same. The music in this version sounds slightly different, but that's due to the old Megadrive Yamaha YM2612 synth chip having very recognisable (and memorable) sounds. Great playthrough. Thanks for uploading!
Classic game. The only versions I've played are the NES and Super Nintendo version. Would be cool if Capcom released the arcade version for NIntendo Switch.
For some reason i just couldn't get this game right but i enjoyed watching the guys who could play this flawlessly and better than me. We had an amzing childhood indeed, lining up at the arcade shop to watch the masters play 😅😅

i will never forget the part of the bible where st Michael gives the psycho cannon to king Arthur in order for him to go on and defeat Lucifer . this was after arthur had fallen out with merlin
Agreed. We need another G&G or atleast a hefty DLC drop for Resurrection. I forgot how much better/powerfull the Holy Water used to be. Eventhough it's the least used weapon

Pues si, el juego parece estar programado para que te den la peor arma posible en determinadas situaciones, no tan ladrón como su primera parte desde luego, y tienes razón, ha envejecido mejor que su predecesor, los gráficos son bestiales.

Very nice playthrough! The arcade version is what i play too, though i like to set the difficulty to 8 by using the dip switches. Makes the game a bit more chaotic.
Lmao I remember when I was at the laundry mat when I was little I was scared of this game because it had a glitch in it where it was free to play and I thought it was possessed but tjis game had the best sound effects I love the sound effect when you get hit and lose your armor
Mis respetos amigo, eres mucho mejor que yo. Yo hace unos dias lo subi ese juego, uff me tomo algunos dias para dominarlo, me mataron solo una vez en la primera parte, la segunda no la grabe en ese momento, pues los videos los grabo desde el celular y no tiene mucha memoria o el programa para grabar tiene limite en los videos, me los corta y me los pone aparte, aunque para ser sincero, cuando quite la grabacion y jugue la segunda parte me mataron como dos veces, hasta que por fin logre grabarla sin que me mataran, se nota en la segunda parte grabada que no es el mismo video por el puntaje que quedo con la primera parte, no coincide, pero queria que saliera perfecto y lo consegui, casi lloraba de la emocion XD. Despues me pase el avening spirit, que ese practicamente hasta con los ojos cerrados lo pase XD y ahorita, algo lento el video estoy subiendo el caveman ninja, es lo que puedo subir ahora jeje

Usually Capcom's final boss are very easy. Other examples are Fessenden from Cadillac & Dinosaurs and Gildiss from King Of Dragons. In the other hand you can find Garibaldi from Knights of the Round and Aquilles from Trojan (At the second loop he is almost unbeatable).

El perro en llamas es de los mas fáciles, siempre que poseas el arma adecuada, es ponerte a una distancia prudencial y coserlo a disparos estando agachado. Es un juego que tengo bastante trillado ya que lo tenía en la megadrive, y es una conversión jugablemente idéntica a la recreativa.

Ghouls n Ghosts has these things: - the music’s better and calmer as well as creepy and uncanny for some tracks. - better bosses - features two of the Seven Deadly Sins (Beelzebub and Lucifer) - you get the Golden Armor which allows you to charge your attack (which is different on each weapon) - the graphics are a lot better - in Ghosts n Goblins, it’s zoomed out so that the background gets more attention whereas in Ghouls n Ghosts, they zoomed it in to make it easier to see the background AND Arthur

I've always wondered if Loki was the final boss of ultimate ghosts n goblins because of the Purple face at 1:24 looks like the same purple face that you see in the intro of ultimate ghosts n goblins and it said to Arthur that "We meet again"......also the Purple face looks like the final boss of ultimate ghosts n goblins as well.

Si, a veces muchos años despues descubres cosas de los videojuegos que no sabías. A mi me ha pasado con el Sly Spy, que con la emulación le he descubierto que tenía caminos alternativos en los niveles.
Este juego es canela fina. Aunque lo tengo bastante trillado lo prefiero mil veces a su predecesor Ghost'nGoblins, que es un auténtico dolor de cabeza. Este es dificil pero al menos es acabable. Gracias por el comment

Lucifer isn't a hard enemy with the golden armour, which gives the Psycho Cannon a wider range. In this gameplay I have a little luck and I get over his knee quickly, so I can hit to the head so fast.
Pfh yeah right insane, no wonder he lost his armour in and from some of the EASILY avoidable enemies and situations🙄 Plus not even realising for SO long that the "small swords" IS the best weapon ever in your First playthrough and KEPT on taking trash weapons like the saucers or whatever those round spinning things are, the "fire" etc. Btw don't even Think of telling me this game was hard etc. This is game is EASY. It's the PEOPLE who just suck. And don't know what to do and how to play etc. Accept it. People just don't learn the enemy AI their pathfindings what's the best weapon what's the best strategy etc and yet call the game difficult😑 Trust me it's NOT difficult people just suck. How was I a COMPLETELY unguided kid and eventually learned to COMPLETELY master and pro this game. I had NO support. This was an absolute quarter assassin. This is the version that ported to the SEGA Genesis and it was a miracle.

This is classic arcade perfection - quite the player v. Sharp and calculated
Capcom gave us a lot of great games. This was a great hit, even better than the first Ghost n goblins.

I used to play when I was 8-10 years old at game shop secretely from out father..It was 1988-90
At that time I could only play it one or two times. Fortunately I got the megadrive/genesis port. It was awesome.

Easy, if you carry the magic armor with you. If not is more challenging. But yes, he is easier than the overall difficult in the game.

Juega al Ghost'n Goblins y esta secuela te parecerá un paseo, aunque ni mucho menos es un juego fácil, pero es pasable sin tener pesadillas como con su predecesor.

¿A que arma te refieres? Si es el Psycho Cannon, se consigue a partir de la segunda vuelta del juego, al abrir un cofre con la armadura amarilla.

Lucifer isn't a hard enemy with the golden armour, which gives the Psycho Cannon a wider range.
In this gameplay I have a little luck and I get over his knee quickly, so I can hit to the head so fast.
Does any know what happens if you make it to the last level a second time without the special weapon?

Pfh yeah right insane, no wonder he lost his armour in and from some of the EASILY avoidable enemies and situations🙄
Plus not even realising for SO long that the "small swords" IS the best weapon ever in your First playthrough and KEPT on taking trash weapons like the saucers or whatever those round spinning things are, the "fire" etc.
Btw don't even Think of telling me this game was hard etc. This is game is EASY. It's the PEOPLE who just suck. And don't know what to do and how to play etc. Accept it. People just don't learn the enemy AI their pathfindings what's the best weapon what's the best strategy etc and yet call the game difficult😑
Trust me it's NOT difficult people just suck. How was I a COMPLETELY unguided kid and eventually learned to COMPLETELY master and pro this game. I had NO support. I'm telling u People just suck then call the game bad when it's really THEY who lack understanding. I ain't no different. How did I find it super easy huh. It takes patience and NOT-quick-judgements which people lack.

Es que prácticamente en la partida de vuelta los cofres solo traian al chinga mago o armas piteras, y pues no podía cambiar la de plasma porque está roticima.
