I'm gonna try this with my vintage Gucci Diana. I've tried several time consuming techniques. It's just been sitting because of the interior peeling and extremely messy.
Thank you dear 🤌🏼👌🏽 i will buy an old vintage gucci bamboo tote 👜 for a really good price because the inner side is peeling and tacky and now I have an idea how to fix it 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Absolutely no problem! Wiping it down with a wet rag is also a very helpful to help loosen the flakiness. Message me if you need additional help. I have posted other videos on how to remove the peeling, including washing the bag completely. Check it out and good luck 😊
Thanks for the video. I haven’t used my Gucci bags in years because of the flaking. I did this on two of the bags with beige linings and it worked great. I have a problem with my blue one though, the lining doesn’t come out, it’s attached to the inside of the bag. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks!
Yes, I would use a damp washcloth to remove the flaking, then try to stick a small portable vacuum cleaner inside the bag. I have a video that demonstrates the washcloth method, check it out
Open the bag up and place it outside directly in the sun. Depending on the severity of the smell, you might have to repeat this process for several days. But the sun is natural odor eliminator. I posted another video where I completely wash my vintage Gucci bag with Dawn dish soap, that too will help eliminate unwanted smells. Good luck!
Thanks so much I spent a fortune on a bag in the 90s and the interior is horrible. Do you reckon a vacuum cleaner is better than using soap and water as other people seem to do.
Hello, yes I do. Using a vacuum and a very damp cloth to help loosen the flakes/peeling is very effective. Have a toothbrush on hand to get the corners. The goal is to get down to the original cloth lining. Good luck!
Awesome Job! Thanks for sharing!
Great job and tips,,,
Will definitely try on my Diana bag I just received! Thanks so much for sharing your experience!
Thank you for your knowledge ♥️♥️♥️

Have you thought of spraying the interior so it'll look new?
Hi, no I have not, I always feared it would come off over time. But I have seen it done by others.
