For anyone wondering, the flat tool is called a brick bolster and the hammer is a club hammer, specifically. The brick bolster is used for actually splitting bricks.

🤣 A mash hammer and a bolster just to clarify

Trouble is that I did this after purchasing a club hammer and brick buster chisel and it was a nightmare. The mortar is far too hard on my brick wall. Had more luck using the 4 lb club hammer knocking the brick from different sides along with sometimes indenting the mortar a bit to encourage bricks to separate but has been slow going.

@@rzu7120 Do you mean a sledgehammer? Terrible. Due to the positioning, awkward to swing. Due to the brick it fragments into thousands of pieces. I actually tackled it again in the last week and succeeded in removing one wall, now only one left. I continued my method above, incorporating a crowbar when possible which was the best combination so far.
One of these and one of them and a smaller one of them then calls it a chisel 😂😂😂😂 it’s called a bolster and a steal headed Mallet and a smaller bolster maybe try and be a bit more informative at least your kind of removing them the right way

Pity you fast forwarded all of the brick removal session, would have been nice to see many the removal of the first couple of brick's.
You make it look easy, but how much physical strength is needed to do this? I have 2 flower beds to take apart and I need cash for other repairs. I don't want to buy the tools to do it, and then find out I'm not strong enough to do the task. I appreciate your video.
You should wear eye protection when doing this. The masonry will fragment and send spall flying at your eyes.

@@kenetic1228 it was broke though the crack and I couldn’t get two cars on with any space between them cause cars gotten wider in the past 15-20 years 😝

Does that work to break it from the bottom straightaway? Or it's easier to start doing it one by one from the top as you did?
If you wanna ensure you can reuse most of it again one by one if not sure go for the second option
