Very nicely done. Typically the sun sets in the west and rises on the east where i live. Where do you live? I'm going to guess near the north or south pole.
Evan, thanks so much... will show this at my university classes if that's ok. Also, you might want to tag this video as being "Creative Commons" for use by everyone since doing that might result in thousands of more views for this video!

wow really? There are plenty more and for longer and that dont use a go pro or camera that distorts the image.. This was the best you could find? you didnt search, did you?
Its all down to the angle the planet is on the axis and where you are. Here in UK in November where the planet is in its orbit, the Sun is low in the sky where Australia is more leaning towards and closer to the Sun with longer days. Easier to describe with a model!
RAAKESH deepak thanks! I actually had my GoPro plugged in via extension cord to the roof of my house so that I did not have to change batteries. And it was capturing photos for around 14 hours

The sun wasn’t moving. In fact, it appears to be moving because of the consistent rotation of the Earth.

That was interesting to see exactly how the sun moves across the sky. It's great you filmed it all from the same spot so we can clearly see.
