Can someone explain to me - why is it no one can get 4 points on a given section - if they have 3 and miss another - it goes right to 5. I don't understand that.

It’s a failure or fiasco more than 3 points and fiasco is a 5 point score

There is no 4 points Mark in Mototrials. Just 0, 1, 2, 3, 5...

It's been the same since I started riding 40 years ago, although a lot of the other rules have changed

I would think the 4th point would give better competition instead of having a rider give up at a 4th mistake and take 5. @@tonyw3250
