So cute when the other hummingbirds managed to share the fountain! And the funniest thing. The solo hummingbird managed to glide around on the watery rim with ease while on the edge of the fountain!
We have three fountains back there, so you're hearing the combination of all three. If you ever need something to fall asleep to, there's an hour long recording I made here: ua-cam.com/video/pYogbrbDtDs/v-deo.html
norcal here...i dont think we have these in our yard...they are beautiful! we have annas i think . ps...beautiful footage and thx for the response i happily rewatch your stuff so lovely!!
You'd have to be fairly close to the coast to see them in NorCal, but according to Audubon, you'll see them up there during the breeding season. They're related to Rufus Hummers and look nearly identical. Those are in your range too. We see them passing through in March/August. Their wings sound more "metallic" and they are extremely territorial. They usually stop by for a few days to a week to piss everyone off and then continue on their way up to Alaska or South to Mexico. Our Allen's boys are around all year long. We have a dozen from nearby that visit, but only 4 or so that are permanent yard residents.
@@katkaplan3 We were there yesterday, they didn't have another like it actually. It was $785 I believe, but they're likely selling them for more now. Try Jackelope Pottery in North Hollywood. Wife was there this morning and she said they've got far better prices. I should just create a silicone mold of it for people and sell it. Lol!
I'm not sure how this particular video seems to be presented to others so often. For one, it's a single clip from a series of other low-quality 1080P videos taken at the same time, and 2nd, I've recorded dozens of other videos since, with a better camera, yet no one watches any of those. Is this a video that youtube is recommending to you or is it being linked from another site?
Southern California. These are all Allen's Hummingbirds, which are resident here year-round. The one at the end of the video is an adult male, the rest are females and mixed juveniles. There's always 15-20 of them around the house. They nest all around our yard. The males all look the same, but the adult females are recognizable to us because they have unique gorgets on their neck. This allows us to name the females that stick around for a year or two.
@@binkysphinx How beautiful to behold. I want a hummingbird birdbath too. I use a old style concrete one. My hummingbirds deserve much better. Thank you for sharing this gorgeous peaceful atmosphere. God bless.

Kukitos preciosos💟
Cutie!
Did you make the fountain? If so, I would love info on how. 😁
I get asked a lot about that. No, it was purchased at a fountain/pottery store in Reseda, CA, USA.
2:53 new water ride... 🎉 😂
Did you make the fountain?
No, but it's just formed concrete from a mold. Would be pretty simple to reproduce.
@@binkysphinx Do you by chance remember where you got it? I've been looking everywhere for a hummingbird bath.
@@elizabeth-2213 It took awhile, but it finally came to me. We bought it from here: www.resedapottery.com/
@@binkysphinx could not find that one. But I’m sure it was very $$$
