Wow man you're 10 years up on me It's great to know tho that us oldies, the originators of the club dance & rave scene audience are still out there listening & appreciating the sounds. I'm 62 in May 2020 in 3 more years I'll be going to Ibiza to go clubbing & celebrate my 65th birthday in style. Please by the heavens above my arthritis doesn't get too bad but even if I'm not walking I'll go in a wheelchair for sure. Keep on listening Cheers CliveakaSpyda Sherwood Forest UK
@@clive6456 omg that's so cool! i wish you the best for when that birthday comes around. haha you sound awesome i'm 22 in may and i've been a fan of this music ever since i was a kid. first watched this video back in 2015 when i was 17. nothing can beat this music!
I,m 63 and this is the best promenade concert I have seen and heard, brilliantly performed, classic Ibiza tunes, this should be sold as an album in my view. caught it on I player first time. superb !!!
Cafe Del Mar is the pinnacle of this amazing show. This Took me back through the last 20 years of my life the music I cherish as a soundtrack to emotional roller coaster of memories some good some bad but if I could do it all again I wouldn't change a thing
I can scarcely imagine the rush that must be going through the orchestra when playing this. I imagine as a classical musician, you don't really anticipate crowds going wild during one of your performances; and seeing such a positive energetic crowd having a wonderful time to music hard to find anywhere else in the world; must be a rush like no other. You can see the orchestra and the crowd having a great time. 😁
Goosebumps - I’m nearly 41 going on 19. I’m transported back to Ibiza in 99. No care in the world, loving life and not a care in the world. After that time, addiction took hold, should be not here anymore..... but I fought back. I’m still adoring life, my family, the music and most importantly of all.... me
I'm glad you think that way +MrRonVibbentrop - so many ungratefull folk in the UK are against the BBC for reasons i don't quite get - they arn't perfect - but you get a lot for the lisence fee in my opinion.
You don’t have to fucking pay for it anyone comes round just politely tell them to piss off. You got to be really dumb to get caught not paying licence fee
2023 and still effen amazing. this is THE best Proms of all of them. my heart and nostalgia melts with these glorious sounds. i'm alone here in this now i bet, but don't care as this will be a rest-of-the-lifetime soundtrack.
I'm in the the US. In Florida and let's be clear. The UK License fee would be worth every penny just for this marvel. I hope BBC proms do another one of these this year. Best live tracks ever. Well done!
Came to this party a tad late in life, now on gig number 6 by years end!!! My happy place. Best gigs I ever been to and that says much. Roll on Glasgow in November and O2 gigs ,2022
This is quite simply one of the best Proms ever, no argument. It also shows that no one does it better than the BBC. And finally it proves why Britain is so great. One of the best two or three nights of my life. I am so, so lucky.
What an event - feel so very proud to be part of this community - favourites are Smoke Belch II, Insomnia, Strings of life and Cafe del Mar - lets dance forever!!!
Its all fantastic, but I love It when that lovely blond lady with the short Hair playing the violin smiles when the crowd cheers she look like's she really appreciates the crowd. :)
Oddly enough, my favourite bit having watched this about 10 times is,,,at 1 hour 11 mins 25 seconds when that opera singer finally lets her hair down and gets involved dancing with the other pop singers. Great show, i'd buy this on dvd
Cafe del Mar for me is The iconic and classic Ibiza tune and the performance of that here is magical, the rousing of the crowd as the music is building and building makes it feel so magical
An incredible mixture of disco music and classical orchestra! Pete and Jules are just magicians, they turned out to be an awesome show!!! Невероятное смешение дискотечной музыки и классического оркестра! Пит и Джулс просто волшебники, у них получилось просто афигенное шоу!!!
I've had this Pete Tong Classic House CD for years and is a great driving record. Only found this video a couple of days' ago though, and seeing the utter joy from the audience and the orchestra is just fabulous.
i am literaly bawling my eyes out ....... the tears are just flowing ..... how can something be so beautiful? how did I miss this? *willneverforgiveself*
Mate! Know how you feel there, Took me right back but hearing it beautifully composed by an orchestra was magnificent, For anyone didn't feel a thing from this! Do you even have a soul? It sure hit me in the feels, But in a wonderful way
I have never seen anything else this beautiful, glorious and powerful ❤️ i feel this at the bottom of my heart ❤️🌹 i can feel it i can feel it oooohhhhh 🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵
This shared Joy: 1. Joy of listeners from the brilliant work of the orchestra 2. Joy of the orchestra with good fun that they give to listeners 3. Joy of UA-cam viewers from the satisfaction of the orchestra, the audience and the opportunity to listen to brilliant songs
As a now ancient clubber, Trance/ Euphoria nut its amazing to hear this music orchestrated. The first time I heard Dear Robert Miles 'CHILDREN' I rushed out and bought the Dreamland album - wonderful to hear it with full orchestra - he will be smiling down now! Those Marimba players MUST be on something to play THAT GOOD that fast!!! Fair play to the string section as well I was watching that and they were basically playing PHYSICALLY - what we do easily on a sequencer! Playing the same 3 notes for about 5 MINUTES! I bet THEY all had sore arms the next day - amazing playing. LOVE THE BIG...FAT ...BRASS sound! Well done HER-O and Jules!! They just SO TIGHT, perfectly in syncro, crisp perfection. Modern synths and Orchestra - OH MY DAYS Jules just invented MUSIC PORN 😉 1:22:44 I LOVE where Jules just DUMPS THE SCORE on the floor - like OK people lets do this freehand! EPIC CONDUCTOR
There is something so magical about orchestral music 🙌 Faithless - Insomnia is once of the greatest tracks of all time.....to hear it orchestrally is just on another level 🎵
Brilliance!!! Like to mention INSOMNIA, as a Faithless lover, took me to another level.. incredibly orchestrated and magically performed.. what a trance!!?!! - Well done all for the immense effort gone into this master show.
This phenomena of orchestra and dance music is definitely a fusion of the 2000s. Almost like the two forms was made for each other. Perfect fusion of soft tones and drama from the classically trained and the electro just raises it to another level. So beautiful I reckon Bach and Beethoven would approve.
insomnia was thesong I grew up with, and to make it like this was stunning, and at proms Pete tong hay, this didn't go wrong lol and that was epic thanks
Soooooo Good! Made me cry! Ahh good times, good memories, wish wish wish I had known about this, lucky people who were there. So much talent in one stunning room XX

Ive been listening to this album on Spotify for a while.... Hour drive to work in the morning listening to this full volume puts a massive smile on my face... I've always thought "you tube must have a video of just one of the tracks" so I searched and found the whole album... In my head listening to the music I've always thought how awesome, amazing it would be to watch these talented musicians perform. I've not been let down... Somehow I get so emotional.....this is not me !!!! I show no emotion....!!!... BBC please please give us another show... Fleking awesome
Before everything was (obviously) shut down for the pandemic this whole group became a yearly touring company with shows around December and January; there’s full recordings of a couple of their performances up on UA-cam, if you haven’t found those yet. imo they’ve really stepped up their game since the (already-impressive) Ibiza Prom.
Wow, nice surprise to find this here, little did I suspect, how emotional I'd become hearing the music - Radio 1 you've hit a cord within me, which I must say back to you, thank you.
Still, by far, the greatest gig I've never been to. For six years, the perfect soundtrack to a variety of household chores, including painting, dishwasher stacking and sorting through old photos. Thank fook for the BBC. And Peter Ting. And Energy 52 at 1:09:46 is just sublime.
I am 44 and almost crying. I heard Energy52 while gazing at the setting sun @cafe del mar in Ibiza the summer year 2000. My God, those who haven't heard or understood the beauty of this track haven't lived.
I wonder if each and every one of those musicians understand and appreciate that every single day there is someone such as me that is absolutely astounded and taken back a couple of decades just by watching a video on UA-cam. It is mind blowing. Thankyou very much.
The woman with blonde hair playing the violin at 56:30mins is absolutely loving life!! It must have been amazing to be there when this was performed but to actually be talented enough to take part in it must be something else....I swear if I win the lotto I’ll pay these guys whatever to re-create this concert again,it brings a massive smile to the face to just be able watch this here on UA-cam!! Thank you 😀😀😀👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
the blend of old and newer in such a classic setting is bliss. I couldn't of imagined something like this happening 20 years ago. Headphones on full rattling what's left of my brain.
I know this is a year later mate - and not sure if you will get/see an alert, but you can currently get tickets for their tour in UK, USA, Aus: petetong-ibizaclassics.com/

The greatest tribute to dance music that I know of, hands down! Thank you Pete Tong, Heritage orchestra, the singers and the crowd. The emotional energy you all generated that night, must have been of impressive magnitude. I saw a genuine expression of the human experience, a celebration, and it brought me tears of joy. Well done

I miss London and it's music so much. Look at all those happy faces. The smiles of the musicians. Wonderful, absolutely marvellous. Thank you all.
at the final of one more time....i love !!!
Shockingly good. When the BBC does a concert, it DOES a concert........ AMAZING.
The bbc gets it tight nowadays, but i agree they know how to put on a show!! 🎉😂
This was basically one of the greatest things I've seen on the BBC in all my 40 years! Simply wonderful and thrilling! THANK YOU
how quickly people forget the Dirty Den returns to Albert Square episode of Eastenders
Brilliant!
Basically the best thing I've ever seen.
I can not to explain all the feelings I felt while i was earing the songs, many of them are a part of my life, moments, places, etc...
Ella Eyre and John Newman are amazing, I was in Alexandra Palace in a Rudimental's concert and was AMAZING.
No words with this selection, BRUTAL!!
Omg!! This is definitely "wish I was there" moment!! Want a night out with the 3 singers!! They look like it would be a good night with this music and dancing.
Best Prom Concert Ever!! Should be a classic every year!! I am 72 and just love this music!!
Well - you two are heroes. Respect!
@@clive6456 omg that's so cool! i wish you the best for when that birthday comes around. haha you sound awesome
i'm 22 in may and i've been a fan of this music ever since i was a kid. first watched this video back in 2015 when i was 17.
nothing can beat this music!
@@ShonziTho Hugs for you Stay safe at this troubling time & maybe I'll see you in Ibiza in 3 years eh ? lol Clive
RESPECT
I,m 63 and this is the best promenade concert I have seen and heard, brilliantly performed, classic Ibiza tunes, this should be sold as an album in my view. caught it on I player first time. superb !!!
+Desdermoaner Well I am 73 - This is all that is best in music which should be live and alive.
+Geoff Jackson great stuff Geoff true words all the best
You old school?
Pete Tong put this out as an album.
I think hear it twenty times or more, is still great and makes lot of fun during work, sport whatever
BBC, you have to do this again maybe to celebrate 25 years of Ibiza!!this was the best concert ever!!!!
Cafe Del Mar is the pinnacle of this amazing show.
This Took me back through the last 20 years of my life the music I cherish as a soundtrack to emotional roller coaster of memories some good some bad but if I could do it all again I wouldn't change a thing
Coady Purchase I thought exactly the same thing mate. Been there through the ups and downs.
There but for the grace of god go I...........
OMFG, I'm no longer 40, I'm back in my 20s!!! BRILLIANT ^_^
Omg, I'm sat here crying at how absolutely immense this is!!!!
isn't it tho? .... still...
I started crying at 8:56, just intense emotion from this talent and splendor
I can relate to that
When all this is over, they need to do this again!
Same 😢 because its awesome music ❤
Goosebumps - I’m nearly 41 going on 19. I’m transported back to Ibiza in 99. No care in the world, loving life and not a care in the world.
After that time, addiction took hold, should be not here anymore..... but I fought back. I’m still adoring life, my family, the music and most importantly of all.... me
Get a life you old sad man!
I'm proud of you man !! You are an inspiration to others !!!😊
This is sooo awesome. If there's ever a club like this, I'll probably never see the daylight again..
+JESSMO You're right: I would go to such a place every damn time it's open!
😂
There used to be a club, Trade, the best party ever unfortunately no longer around
The tickets for 2019 gig in O2 Arena in London are on sale if not sold out already... Just saying.
Cafe Del Mar still has me picturing Ibiza late 90's early 00's everytime I hear it.
Just look at the orchestra musicians, they are soo happy!
The BBC is a big plus on my pro/con-list on whether to move to England or not.
+MrRonVibbentrop for the music, go for it ;D
I'm glad you think that way +MrRonVibbentrop - so many ungratefull folk in the UK are against the BBC for reasons i don't quite get - they arn't perfect - but you get a lot for the lisence fee in my opinion.
Jonathan Cook we are forced to pay for it £150.50 which is $213.78
You don’t have to fucking pay for it anyone comes round just politely tell them to piss off. You got to be really dumb to get caught not paying licence fee
Stuart Dawson Considering you can even spell "pedophiles", I don't think we should be taking advice from you, ya moron.
2023 and still effen amazing. this is THE best Proms of all of them. my heart and nostalgia melts with these glorious sounds. i'm alone here in this now i bet, but don't care as this will be a rest-of-the-lifetime soundtrack.
Feels!! Wow, my body and brain are fighting. My body wants to dance and my brain wants to just sit back, listen, admire and cry. So freaking good.
Huge Respect for Pete Tong and Heritage Orchestra. AWESOOOOME.
Who is here in 2020 with this awesomeness.
YEAH
Yes lad!!!!
Yep
Hell yeah!
🙋♂️
I can watch this over and over again. Simply brilliant.
Snap x I re watch all the time x the best music to clean and tidy up too x then celebratory dance x
Wtf, how have I only just stumbled across this in 2019?
Bc you're not as cool
You may of stumbled in but now just relax and embrace the experience 😊
I just thought the exact same!! How TF have I missed this?!?! 😳
Same here!
Me too buddy me too
This one time, at band camp, I played banging tunes with Pete Tong!
I'm in the the US. In Florida and let's be clear. The UK License fee would be worth every penny just for this marvel. I hope BBC proms do another one of these this year. Best live tracks ever. Well done!
M The BBC Proms are one of only a dozen things the BBC Licence Fee is worth it for
Some of the musicians look overwhelmed by the effect their music has on the crowd. Absolutely superb!
It must have felt like heaven to be there .....
It did! First row was siiiick!
70L3N71N0 wow you were front row ..im very very jealous..it must have been amazing ..how come this isnt on dvd ..why not ???
This was a Prom which are sometimes televised. Front row standing was 5 quid, though!! Bargain. Contact BBC Radio 1 with that question ;) x
Was second row dead centre , the hairs on my neck still stand on end now listening to it
....will let you know. I'm going to see it at the O2 in London tonight !!!
Micheal Jones
Yup, I clocked that. It'll have been the biggest cheer she'll have ever got playing, I bet!
I bet she had goosebumps.
Micheal Jones I know, I’m utterly in love 😍 with her
This is definitely one time when you can say that, the live version is better than the album version.
If heaven is melodic and filled with angels, this is probably what it is like? How do you top this act and choice tracks in the set? Wow.
Might pay my TV licence after watching this. Worth the whole years payment...
This classic Ibiza dance music BBC prom should be televised every year - the Heritage Orchestra are just brilliant.
The lady on violin, with a blonde crop, rocks my world. She is so into playing... I love it!
☮️💚🏡🎶
Totally agree she's fully emersed in the experience
Pervert.
Oddly enough, my favourite bit having watched this about 10 times is,,,at 1 hour 11 mins 25 seconds when that opera singer finally lets her hair down and gets involved dancing with the other pop singers. Great show, i'd buy this on dvd
Best performance in the Music History!
Omg! All these yrs later this is still so amazing!!! I still listen at 53! Wish i was there! So amazing!!! My go to feel good music!!!❤️❤️❤️
62 and still think its the best show/concert ever
You old loser
Cafe del Mar for me is The iconic and classic Ibiza tune and the performance of that here is magical, the rousing of the crowd as the music is building and building makes it feel so magical
You got it spot on !
Yesssss !
Yup. Best track of the era - and best track of the concert
Pete’ smile @01:12:14 says it all 👍🏼
Amazing. I had tears in my eyes :) Greetings from Poland.
W tym roku też są te imprezy w UK ;)
An incredible mixture of disco music and classical orchestra! Pete and Jules are just magicians, they turned out to be an awesome show!!!
Невероятное смешение дискотечной музыки и классического оркестра! Пит и Джулс просто волшебники, у них получилось просто афигенное шоу!!!
I have watched this so many times, Pete tong adds just that extra touch
Richard Blackwoo
Sensational the back up singers are incredible xx
I've had this Pete Tong Classic House CD for years and is a great driving record. Only found this video a couple of days' ago though, and seeing the utter joy from the audience and the orchestra is just fabulous.
i am literaly bawling my eyes out ....... the tears are just flowing ..... how can something be so beautiful? how did I miss this? *willneverforgiveself*
Yup an hour and a half of sheer emotion.
Tamara Vranješ oh me too . the sound of the orchestra on music from my youth they're amazing .. goosebumps and tears
The combination of nostalgia and euphoria. Simply incredible. Literally sends shivers down my spine.
Mate! Know how you feel there,
Took me right back but hearing it beautifully composed by an orchestra was magnificent,
For anyone didn't feel a thing from this! Do you even have a soul?
It sure hit me in the feels, But in a wonderful way
You've never lived you sad loser
I have never seen anything else this beautiful, glorious and powerful ❤️ i feel this at the bottom of my heart ❤️🌹 i can feel it i can feel it oooohhhhh 🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵
everyone in that place was smiling. priceless!! I just love this 😎😎
This shared Joy:
1. Joy of listeners from the brilliant work of the orchestra
2. Joy of the orchestra with good fun that they give to listeners
I'm sure for those who were there that day, it must've been a surreal experience!
I no what you mean no truer words said exelent all day long
roll over
What are you talking about?
@@Bobbythebullshitter The benefits of making gravy from meat juices and not granules.
Radio 1 turned the Royal Albert Hall into the best club ever basically...

+BBC Radio 1 quite simply my favourite thing on the whole internet! I play it loud daily, magical and wonderful. thank you.
+BBC Radio 1 Indeed, speaks volumes for classical music.
Where do we purchase this 92 minutes of genius from? Thank you
insomnia was thesong I grew up with, and to make it like this was stunning, and at proms Pete tong hay, this didn't go wrong lol and that was epic thanks
I want to buy this - blu Ray / digital copy /Apple Music MP3 Please give me something 👍🏻👌🏻 #genius
Epic! I've never seen so many orchestral musicians smiling while playing 😊
Insomnia was insane!
Because they are not playing dead man’s music.

Me 2
Ive been listening to this album on Spotify for a while....
How do you find the album
Just search Pete Tong and the heritage orchestra, it should bring up a couple of albums
Andrew Coulson I couldn't agree more and sentiment sincerely shared!
Also one of my favourites ..Brings me right back , amazing song..

There isn't a week I don't play the greatest trance anthem
Absolutely amazing! Eat that BT and your laptop symphony! Pete Tong is a King of Dance!
I wonder if each and every one of those musicians understand and appreciate that every single day there is someone such as me that is absolutely astounded and taken back a couple of decades just by watching a video on UA-cam. It is mind blowing. Thankyou very much.
Can t wait to go to Ibiza was in Tenerife last week Blackpool for switch on 6 wks then Ibiza October
Remember you never too old too party I'm 48
It's 2021 and I am only seeing this now. Better late than never. I love how happy the orchestra are belting these classics out. 😆 👌
After 1000 of years of music, that's the result!! that's the peak of it all!!! thank you...
Thank you 😀😀😀👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
win the lotto . dont even play it , prob get wiped out if a human wins it
How can you tell when all you can see is the back of her head you loser!
Even a few years later, this is just as special as the first time I heard it. Truly sensational, would love to see something similar live.
the blend of old and newer in such a classic setting is bliss. I couldn't of imagined something like this happening 20 years ago. Headphones on full rattling what's left of my brain.
46:10 Porcelain was absolutely perfect! Gave me goosebumps from the beginning!
+Robbie Cargill that soul singer got it spot on!
If you can play this on a big hd screen with all zone stereo and of course the volume up high it's almost like being there.. superb!!
Almost...

How can anyone dislike this?? I got goosebumps when the crowd cheered upon recognition of each tune coming in.
So amazing, just by the first few chords, the beats x I just love it x
The greatest tribute to dance music that I know of, hands down! Thank you Pete Tong, Heritage orchestra, the singers and the crowd. The emotional energy you all generated that night, must have been of impressive magnitude. I saw a genuine expression of the human experience, a celebration, and it brought me tears of joy. Well done
