- Hello everyone! In this week's video I am going to try to animate in ibis Paint! I am going to animate my original character Brayson crying, as suggested by my animation idea generator. I will be showing how to animate in ibis paint and my process for creating animations. I am creating this art on my iPad with an Apple Pencil.

Does animating on ibis paint mean u have to use premium?
I’m not sure if you know this but for the stabilisation to work more properly you have to click after. It’s in the same section as the stabilisation. Go to stabilisation, set it to whatever number you want and underneath method, it says real time and after. Click on after. Also I haven’t finished watching the video but I’m sure that I’ll love the rest!

it's the same if you don't click "after", the "after" just makes it stabilize after you release your finger or pen from the screen, while if you let it on "real time", it'll stabilize as you're making the line
so it doesn't work more properly, it just has a different synch

For anyone wondering
For opacity layers, after you set your opacity, tap the 3 dots while in the layers and select "select opacity", then copy the layer
Itll save the layer opacity when pasting

A normally emotionless character breaking down and crying is one of my fav tropes. Its emo ik, but it really makes me tear up. it both makes me like "my son! who hurt you??" and also happy for them that they were finally able to let out whatever they've been holding in. And thats on me thinking way too hard about and getting way too attached to fictional characters.

I’m glad Brayson was the subject of your animation because it gives me an excuse to tell this story and hopefully give you a laugh haha!
The first time I watched My Next Door Neighbors, I binged it because I was obsessed with it! Not too long after, I got a job at a daycare. There were two boys under my care: Grayson and Bowen. It didn’t help that they looked alike, but I no joke for a solid week called one or the other “Brayson” consistently because I was so used to seeing the name on your comic and also accidentally combined their names lol. Eventually I realized what I was doing and was like “oh my goodness! No wonder they don’t always respond to me!” 😂😂
(For context they were toddlers, so I don’t think they noticed I was getting their name wrong or they didn’t have the words to correct me so they just ignored me LOL)

(Edit: I’ve just realised that people have mistaken what I’ve said, I do understand how much effort, skill and time goes in to her art and I applaud her for working on her skill for so long.)

No one is completely talented. Some pick up on things easier, but it takes hard work and practice to get good at things.

I woke up not knowing what day it was, checked my phone after a bit, realized it was Saturday, and clicked so fast onto the UA-cam app LOL. UA-cam knows I watch your videos every Saturday without fail so it’s always the first thing to recommend me on Saturday mornings so I knew it’d be first in my feed so I was very happy lol! 😊
It’s actually really nice seeing Brayson cry btw. We all definitely have different ways of showing emotions, but it’s interesting to see him cry! It feels like something serious really must have to have happened!

I use IbisPaintX as my main digital drawing program, and I had no idea you could do this in there, this is really helpful

the animation looks so good! makes me feel sad for brayson though😭 i love the extra details like the rim lighting and multiply layer, it really gives it a nice touch! please make sure to rest your arm and listen to your body when it's in pain, carpal tunnel is common for artists and it isn't fun D: great vid, i love seeing my next door neighbors content!

AHHHH THIS IS SO AWESOME you’re so good at animating!!! I’ve only tried animating once and it was when the update came out and I spent like 5/6 hours on just a sketch for a 7 second animation 💀 idk how you can do this

I feel like the new frame not being a layer is so nice!!! Because I do sketches on many layers so having to do it all on one layer makes it so difficult because I have many rough sketches and many clean sketches to each drawing I make.
So only one layer makes it tortuous to work with.

You can use a line tool so there isn't the wobbly aspect in lineart
I like to use it on hair and skin lineart that is long or very curved

I'm about to try frame by frame animation for the first time AND it has to be on iBis Paint X, because it's for a specific assignment.
