The dragonfruit princess is so cute, I love her! I love dragon fruit so it was really nice to see you design an OC based on it, it's a very unique fruit and I've always loved its colors. For a name, I looked up the scientific name of dragon fruit, and it is Selenicereus undatus. What I found interesting is that the "Selene" part means moon because dragon fruit flowers only bloom at night. So her name could be Selene :) (which also fits because her hair is white and dragon fruit flowers are also white) And she could like playing outside in the moonlight! Also I think I remember you like nicknaming your characters so some nicknames for Selene could be Sel, Selly, Cece/Sisi (pronounced see-see), Lena, or Nelly!
i love how similar our naming processes are, I went for dragonfruit in different languages and came up with Pitaya or Taya but Selene is cool to it sounds so royal
For the having too many oc’s problem, my solution is usually “recycling” oc’s. I basically drastically change the storylines, backstories I never use, and change the design according to that. It does take longer compared to creating new oc’s, and it requires a lot of thinking to make the new version fit and still leave parts of the old story, but it fixes the oc problem
I think art challenges are always a super fun way to step out of your comfort zone and practice new things. I can definetely relate to the having too many OCs and constantly trying to resist the urge of making more but then giving up thing

I am a big lover of weirdcore and I definitely think you did great with the part of weirdcore you focused on. It's a wide genre that can look very different, but the most popular one is with these bright colors, eyes, wings, mushrooms and tv-heads all put on top of each other with seemingly no sense, but there are also other parts of the aesthetic that lean more towards disturbing imagery, dark voids and low quality photos. What connects all of weirdcore is a sense of nostalgia, dread, weirdness and, in some ways, the uncanny valley

A good solution to the oc problem: Have some ocs that are fictional characters in the worlds of your other ocs. Maybe Teddy is from a webcomic that one of your ocs reads, and maybe the dragon fruit princess is from a kids series or anime that someone likes.
I love Teddie! They're so adorable! I love the idea that she's fused with her childhood toy out of her deep love for it and her sister! I also love the toy story idea! I think your backstories are great! I mean, its weirdcore after all! Things being weird fits the breif! If I may drop some backstory ideas and expand upon your ideas though, maybe the little girls love for Teddie somehow brought her to life. Maybe teddies consciousness fused with her owner when she died and Teddie is actually both the toy and the owner sharing a body. So they can be together forever in the afterlife! That would explain the eye on the overalls and the fact Teddies wearing human clothes. For the dragon princess i think shes also SUPER adorable, i love the idea that her name is super long and regal but she shortens it and never responds to her real name no matter how much people try, like Lady Selenia-Dotella, and she shortens it to Cici or Dot, and refuses to be called her super long name which irks her parents a bit

Maybe a name that means dragon for her? like Adalinda(noble dragon), Dracaena (female dragon), Kaida (little dragon), or Kenna (born of fire). The dragon fruit oc reminds me a bit of the main character from the book I am currently writing! The character's name is Crystal as she was found in Crystal clear waters! She grew up as a dragon in a little village but eventually ended up living in a cave close by. Eventually people in the village just kinda forgot about her... one day though she found a portal that led her to another world. She explored there a while but ended up getting hungry. The only nearby food store was a dragon fruit tree. So she ate a dragon fruit and turned into a human (dragon fruit turns any creature into a dragon but when dragons eat the fruit they turn into humans) she still has her wings, tail, and horns though. Sorry for the spelling. p.s this isn't Nathan like the profile says this is his daughter!

My ideas for Teddy's lore: Teddy was just a normal girl and she loved her father very much. (her mother had died during her birth) Teddy was a nickname her father gave her because she loved the teddybears her father always made for her. One day her father was in a tragic accident (she was only 10) She didn't want to go to a foster home or orphanage so she ran. She ran into the forest and just wondered, crying, not knowing what to do, but then she came across a tree. It was an unusual tree, one with eyes and mushrooms floating around it. Teddy wasn't scared, but she was curious. There was an opening in the tree just big enough for her little Teddy to fit through. It was a world that looked so much like the pictures you see today for weirdcore. She made friends; friends with creatures that horns, multiple eyes, and just didn't look real. She spent hours that turned to weeks, months, and then years. She turned into one of those creatures that before she never knew existed! She loved it, but she always felt like she was missing something. She forgot about where she came from.... her father. IF anyone wants me to finish it, I can just tell me! And ill post a video about it, because I have so many ideas. I hope you liked this Rebekah! I'll probably work on Teddy's story just for my entertainment. Have a great day everyone! Weirdcore to me is like everything that you usually don’t see in normal dreams. Since weirdcore has the vibe of a dream people put in devices, clocks, eyes, and other weird things because those don’t usually appear inside peoples dreams. When they do the person wakes up unsettled. That’s my take on why weird core has those motifs.
Okay but the idea for lore you came up with for the teddy bear angel girl, is so similar the lore for some of my own OCs! Like I have three OCs, named Puppet, Dolly and Happy, small children who died in three separate but somewhat related accidents, and their adoptive father fused their souls with their favorite toys because he didn't want to lose them. The only difference is that instead of them becoming guardian angels, they instead were trapped in their house and would force anyone who entered the house to play games that became more deadly as time went on. Because apparently I can't write stories that aren't dark or angsty ... But back to you, Rebekah, again you have outdone yourself with creativity, and I still enjoy watching your videos now as I did when I started two years ago.

Also, for the eye in the overall, "biblically accurate" angels have an eye in the middle and angel wings! I was thinking that to become a guardian angel, she had to allow an angel into her body and it picked her chest area and that's why she has an eye on her overall but wings on the back!
I like to imagine that the story for the dragon girl is that her parents find a human that they believe is a powerful mage, and they have the human teach their daughter how to use magic, since school doesn't seem to be working for her. But in reality, the human has no magic what so ever and only agreed to teach the princess out fear. And as the story progressed, the human actually surpisingly teaches the girl really well, with the girl learning more spells, and the two bond a lot. I feel like the story would be that human has a certain goal that they want to achieve, but they feel as though they can't for whatever reason, but spending time with and watching the princess grow and learn motivates them to at least try to achieve this goal. It would probably be a bit better, in my opinion, if they didn't achieve it, but they aren't disappointed because they actually tried and they still have a cute little dragon to look after.
As soon as I saw the thumbnail I was like ‘so she’s doing what she said she wasn’t going to?’🤣They look amazing though, and your designs are so creative! I’m hoping to do some of these challenges, and this really inspired me💜
Pitaya means dragonfruit in spanish, so Taya would be a cute name for the cute lil princess i love the weirdcore character :D just a note, since some angels in the bible are described with a lot of eyes and wings, I feel like the eye overalls work with the guardian angel concept just fine (but that's just my nerdy side coming out lol)
If you dont know weirdcore is supposed to be weird and nostalgic, BUT dreamcore is weird,nostalgic things you've most likely seen in your dream. Dreamcore can be different for everyone. you drew in a dreamcore/weirdcore style and thats fine. Backrooms is a great representation of weirdcore, dreamcore, and mainly creepy. I recommend adding immense amount of gitch effect and noise.

my backstory idea for Teddy bc....idk I just wanted to tell you it: A little girl was obsessed with this teddy bear she had for years named Teddy, she brung Teddy everywhere with her and even played with her in the car. The little girl decided to add some angel wings to the doll, saying Teddy is an angel and deserves them. She loved Teddy and had the perfect life until one day while playing with Teddy her and her parents got into a car accident. Only the parents survived, and the car accident caused Teddy to be 'injured' terribly. Because of the little girl's and Teddy's huge relationship, the girl's soul was put into Teddy, basically possessing the doll. The parents tried to fix Teddy's wounds, since their daughter gave away any other toy she was given and Teddy was the only memory they had of her, but sadly the mother died from cancer and the father died from......well another car accident before they got to the head. The little girl doesnt understand the concept of death(yet understands she's now Teddy) so she wonders the night, searching for her parents until someone finds her and takes her home to a new family

i love them soooooo much, especially teddy, she has a special spot in my heart. i just cant explain it but shes so dang cute. maybe im into weird core more than i thought. For the dragon princess i think shes also SUPER adorable, i love the idea that her name is super long and regal but she shortens it and never responds to her real name no matter how much people try, like Lady Selenia-Dotella, and she shortens it to Cici or Dot, and refuses to be called her super long name which irks her parents a bit

Maybe a name that means dragon for her? like Adalinda(noble dragon), Dracaena (female dragon), Kaida (little dragon), or Kenna (born of fire). Pitaya is also the other name for dragon fruit (also strawberry pear apparently, which i thought was cute)

Teddy is so cute! Her design looks like avery nice mixture between weirdcore and yume kawaii. I feel like her concept would go very well with FNAF character, honestly.
The dragon fruit oc reminds me a bit of the main character from the book I am currently writing! The character's name is Crystal as she was found in Crystal clear waters! She grew up as a dragon in a little village but eventually ended up living in a cave close by. Eventually people in the village just kinda forgot about her... one day though she found a portal that led her to another world. She explored there a while but ended up getting hungry. The only nearby food store was a dragon fruit tree. So she ate a dragon fruit and turned into a human (dragon fruit turns any creature into a dragon but when dragons eat the fruit they turn into humans) she still has her wings, tail, and horns though. Sorry for the spelling. p.s this isn't Nathan like the profile says this is his daughter!

My ideas for Teddy's lore:
Teddy was just a normal girl and she loved her father very much. (her mother had died during her birth) Teddy was a nickname her father gave her because she loved the teddybears her father always made for her. One day her father was in a tragic accident (she was only 10) She didn't want to go to a foster home or orphanage so she ran. She ran into the forest and just wondered, crying, not knowing what to do, but then she came across a tree. It was an unusual tree, one with eyes and mushrooms floating around it. Teddy wasn't scared, but she was curious. There was an opening in the tree just big enough for her little Teddy to fit through. It was a world that looked so much like the pictures you see today for weirdcore. She made friends; friends with creatures that horns, multiple eyes, and just didn't look real. She spent hours that turned to weeks, months, and then years. She turned into one of those creatures that before she never knew existed! She loved it, but she always felt like she was missing something. She forgot about where she came from.... her father.
IF anyone wants me to finish it, I can just tell me! And ill post a video about it, because I have so many ideas. I hope you liked this Rebekah! I'll probably work on Teddy's story just for my entertainment. Have a great day everyone! Thanks for reading this!

Weirdcore to me is like everything that you usually don’t see in normal dreams. Since weirdcore has the vibe of a dream people put in devices, clocks, eyes, and other weird things because those don’t usually appear inside peoples dreams. When they do the person wakes up unsettled. That’s my take on why weird core has those motifs.

Okay but the idea for lore you came up with for the teddy bear angel girl, is so similar the lore for some of my own OCs! Like I have three OCs, named Puppet, Dolly and Happy, small children who died in three separate but somewhat related accidents, and their adoptive father fused their souls with their favorite toys because he didn't want to lose them. The only difference is that instead of them becoming guardian angels, they instead were trapped in their house and would force anyone who entered the house to play games that became more deadly as time went on. Because apparently I can't write stories that aren't dark or angsty ...
But back to you, Rebekah, again you have outdone yourself with creativity, and I still enjoy watching your videos now as I did when I started two years ago.

The first thing I thought of for the name of Dragon fruit Princess is Dia. I think it sounds cute and gives off a simple yet princessy feel
I actually loved Teddy's backstory with the little girl and her older sister!
Also, for the eye in the overall, "biblically accurate" angels have an eye in the middle and angel wings! I was thinking that to become a guardian angel, she had to allow an angel into her body and it picked her chest area and that's why she has an eye on her overall but wings on the back!

I like to imagine that the story for the dragon girl is that her parents find a human that they believe is a powerful mage, and they have the human teach their daughter how to use magic, since school doesn't seem to be working for her. But in reality, the human has no magic what so ever and only agreed to teach the princess out fear. And as the story progressed, the human actually surpisingly teaches the girl really well, with the girl learning more spells, and the two bond a lot. I feel like the story would be that human has a certain goal that they want to achieve, but they feel as though they can't for whatever reason, but spending time with and watching the princess grow and learn motivates them to at least try to achieve this goal. It would probably be a bit better, in my opinion, if they didn't achieve it, but they aren't disappointed because they actually tried and they still have a cute little dragon to look after.

just a note, since some angels in the bible are described with a lot of eyes and wings, I feel like the eye overalls work with the guardian angel concept just fine (but that's just my nerdy side coming out lol)
If you dont know weirdcore is supposed to be weird and nostalgic, BUT dreamcore is weird,nostalgic things you've most likely seen in your dream. Dreamcore can be different for everyone. you drew in a dreamcore/weirdcore style and thats fine. Backrooms is a great representation of weirdcore, dreamcore, and mainly creepy.
I recommend adding immense amount of gitch effect and noise.

Edit: When drawing weird core art try making it look super (and I mean super) nostalgic, off-putting and add eyes where they don’t seem like they belong (mushrooms, clouds, plants etc) and even if it already has chromatic aberration make it look more intense

my backstory idea for Teddy bc....idk I just wanted to tell you it: A little girl was obsessed with this teddy bear she had for years named Teddy, she brung Teddy everywhere with her and even played with her in the car. The little girl decided to add some angel wings to the doll, saying Teddy is an angel and deserves them. She loved Teddy and had the perfect life until one day while playing with Teddy her and her parents got into a car accident. Only the parents survived, and the car accident caused Teddy to be 'injured' terribly. Because of the little girl's and Teddy's huge relationship, the girl's soul was put into Teddy, basically possessing the doll. The parents tried to fix Teddy's wounds, since their daughter gave away any other toy she was given and Teddy was the only memory they had of her, but sadly the mother died from cancer and the father died from......well another car accident before they got to the head. The little girl doesnt understand the concept of death(yet understands she's now Teddy) so she wonders the night, searching for her parents until someone finds her and takes her home to a new family
