My fave right now has to be o’douds matte paste. Can you tell me which between firsthand and holy black, are closest to o’douds? They both look similarly close enough in texture and how u describe, that would give same results i find in the o’douds👍📸

I've been using the brand "towel dry" clay. I love how it works but hate that it is scent free. Can you recommend something that is similar to this product with a nice scent? That is if you are familiar with toweldry.

Hey Joe, I realy like and always wach your hair videos, as well I learning from you how to make a hairstyle, which products I should use, which I shouldn't and it's very helpful, but I have a small problem with my hairdresser, because I not excatly know what to say for her if I want a hairstyle like your...So I think maybe you can make a video about that?

Really enjoyed the video! Question though.... What is the scent profile like in the firsthand one and how long does the scent last? Didnt see any description on their website and i use scented beard products already and dont want too much scent on at once like that. Also, are there any unscented clays you would recomend? Thank you

Hi. I used to use Revlon "Creator Matt Clay" a lot. However Revlon has discontinued it and its replacement is called "Matt Clay" (its a pink jar now). But the formula is completely different and now it feels weak and as generic as any other hair clay. What I really liked about it was that it left my hair with a "dry and sandy like" sensation with texture and a good hold from the moment I applied it to my hair, even if it was damp. Its been years now and I cant find a similar replacement. I have tried products like Calymation and Baxter Clay Pomade, but all of them feel smooth and more wet. Does anyone have any similar product suggestions?

No kidding when you say Nostalgic Clay is thick to scoop out. Whenever I use it, I need to use the back of my nail to get it out of the jar. However, it's still probably one of my favorites in my collection :D Would love to hear you do a similar concept, but for pastes, pomades, or even clothing stores!

Joe, I’m a huge fan of your work and I’m looking to try some of your BluMaan products soon (namely Cavalier clay for my particular hairstyle).
I know in this video you linked the video you did a little while ago of your “updated” disconnected undercut hairstyle, but that looks much more clean-cut and combed-through than the hairstyle you’re rocking in this video, if that makes sense. I’m really digging the messier-looking hairstyle you have in this video, and would really appreciate if you could post a new uncut hair routine for this style! I would greatly enjoy seeing it, and I’ve seen that many others are asking about it as well.

I've got fine long hair on top (6") with the sides buzzed. Been looking for a gritty dry clay as all the ones I've tried end up looking a bit greasy that don't hold. Anyone have a suggestion to give me some hold (#1) and doesn't give me a greasy look after awhile(#2)? So far the only ones I've found useful are mixing Firsthand with 18.21 clay and then adding a dry shampoo to take out the greasiness.
Any suggestions? And yes, I have a touch of oily hair.

I use Aveda grooming clay but don’t feel it is best suited to my hair. Some websites suggest that clays should not be used for guys with wavy hair.

I don’t have thick hair but if he wants a good heavy hold I’d recommend by Vilain gold digger, O’Douds matte paste, or Clutch XL. they all have a bit of tug on application but honestly the hold is great on all it I think they are great for thicker hair. But it lasts me even till the next morning I just have to reapply a bit if I want to re style. I hope something works for him that he likes!
