This is what make this channel so good, never the same, new projects that are varied, building different projects that affect every day life. Good work guys!
Sean and Shane, your ingenuity reflects how America was made. If our forefathers depended on my mechanical ability we would most likely still be living in caves 🐒. Now, give me a camera and stand back, but putting stuff together, ten thumbs. 😁 Thanks for the great videos. John here, photographing the beauty of the back-roads of Northeastern Tennessee, y'all.
Guys, please lock out the power whenever working on and especially IN machinery! Too many people have been seriously injured by an inadvertent flip of the switch. I know you guys are tough and on top of the situation, but the consequences of someone's momentary lapse of reason can be horrible. Ask me how I know.
My dad had a place in the middle of Parowan Valley. You might know the place... large red barn and tall hay barn next to it on the west side of I15. It regularly got down to -30°F at that place in January. I was a major part of building those barns and the building pads for those barns. It definitely gets cold in parts of Utah!
However, it's necessary for makin' good fishing ice and keeping the riff raff away. You'd think by 70 I would have grown up, but in some sick kind of way I love going out driving in a snow storm when no travel is advised. (well prepared of course) lol
Being a suburbanite. It’s cool seeing small town living. If you see me knocking on your door. That means I need to learn how to survive. That way I don’t have to really on big corporate.
LOVE WATCHING ALL Y'ALLS PROJECTS AND THE DIVERSITY OF THE CHANNEL NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU WILL SEE AND LEARN . PLEASE KEEP THE VIDEOS COMING CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE!!! 👍👍👍
Call the contraption "The Mixer Fixer 2000"! The way you guys work with the businesses and people in the community is awesome. Looks like they have a pretty neat operation going there at Spencer Bros.!
The end of the video shows what life is all about... Helping others. What a good feeling vid., (once the work was complete for now). Thanks for sharing‼️
Dad had put it on paper so I knew he wasn't wrong his got vision of what he needs done and steel fabrication for these older machines were we can't get parts is a great bissness for these long winters boost the stove before shutting the shop at night in the morning it's still warm Respect To you and Dad Lonewolf Canada A'ho 🇨🇦
You know you have a cool dad when he shows up with a fox logo on the back window of his truck, 🤘. Btw it’s 70 and sunny here in south florida this morning, so I can’t send rain. But sun I got…..
I was the maintenance guy in a feed mill for a few years, and fought them problems. I only saw 1 mistake that dad made and I make the same mistake often myself! The mistake was, us old facts are supposed to just stand there and tell the youngsters what to do!
Can't say enough for what you guys bring two of the best for getting it done, don't know about the cold since I'm in texas, we had a week of freezing and that's enough.thanks guys
So Guys did I miss it .. why don't you .. can't you rebuild the mixer so it'll keep mixin for another 60 years .. great video as usual, thanks for bringing us along .. thanks for the effort of videoing, editing and uploading !!
Just an FYI for future reference, take a picture with your phone and then edit the image. You can add dimensions to the photo right on your phone in the camera app. It’ll take some practice to get the hang of it but once you get it, the time and frustration it’ll save you is invaluable. You can UA-cam it for information, there’s plenty of video tutorials to explain how to do it.
As always another great piece of work using what you have on hand to complete a task! Enjoy watching you and your dad working together. Look forward to seeing new videos each week keep it up.
WELL EVERYONE BETTER PRAY YOU AND YOUR DAD STAY HEALTHY CAUSE IM SURE WITH HOW YOU 2 FIGURE THINGS OUT THEY BE LOST WITHOUT YOU 2..GREAT JOB..TY 4 THE VIDEO
You guys bring back so many memories. I grew up on 89 in Southeast Idaho, punching cows with my dad and his friends. That was in the 50s and 60s when life was much more simple. Please keep up your great content it is real life to me! From Matt to Paul and now you guys a real cyber adventure LOL
The only concern you might think about is whether or not that wheel bearing is a taper or straight cut bearing and if it's going to wear more as a thrust bearing application than a direct load? But it will probably hold up for a long time either way?
Fargo ND, and almost everyone here whines every time the temp goes down! Only good thing about the cold is how warm 90° feels after lol. Thanks for another fun video
- Neighbors helping neighbors, you bet your but those grain guys will be there for you and Shane if when yall need something. _OH MY, my skin started to twitch when you just down in that hopper. I was like WAIT where is the lock out tag out switch or breaker 🙂 - yall killed it again👍
Nice work. When you look at projects like this, take a couple of photos, edit in dimensions, at least a couple to give a benchmark reference point. In this era of global marketing, learn to convert metric to imperial, it'll keep you from being surprised upon delivery.
there will always be work for competent mechanics. You'll laugh at the term competent, but you guys have pride in your work and always makes sure the job is done. We've all seen shoddy work done by those who just want the money and could care less for the customer.
My dad was a Master Mechanic. He made his own custom tools .worked on diesels and cars. I wish my dad and I got along as well as Sean and his dad. Love your vids 🔅

Having 2 people checking measurements is great. Having someone to bounce ideas off of each other is priceless. Great video.
Old Iowa farm boy here. This fix definitely qualifies you to fix stuff in Iowa. If it works - it's beautiful. Sure do like your channel.

I love watching your channel. It's really interesting seeing you solve unique problems.

The dynamic duo does it again.Rollin rollin rollin!
Another fine job! Ya got those young men working again and saved them a LOT of money.
There's never a dull moment in the life of a welder/fabricator.
Important to keep this machine operating. A replacement would be a lot of money and the grinding fee would have to increase significantly.

Love it. Reminds me of building with my dad. Good old days. Enjoy every minute you can with ya dad. I really miss mine❤❤
You guys can fabricate amazing things out of thin air, a little leftover scrap metal, and an old wheel bearing. Well done!
Thanks Larry

We’re thinking this was a problem from the time it was first built. And this will be a permanent fix
The older the equipment you guys fix the more I identify with it. Sometimes your channel seems more like 89 'Custom' Built .

As good at this kind of thing as you two are I am surprised you did not drill the shaft and install a short pilot between them
The way the wheel hub worked you were didn’t think we needed that
@@frostys64 I get it, it's the old hind sight thing.
Looks like it going to work okay for them. Not over engineered fairly simple design it seems to work. Way to go Guys.
You guys can fix anything. Nice work!
Thanks

What a fantastic life you have! So cool
If you use copper anti seize it cleans up MUCH easier.
That as a great fix guys thanks for taking us along
Some great down home engineering Shane and Sean did with this jobb.

A wheel bearing that’s cool nice fix
I’ve called this poor boying it. Use what you got to get you by till something better comes along. Been doing this for years.

Awesome job guys. Enjoyed the video.
Good sunday to you. 10 above here in Minnesota warm out. Good video. I don't watch much of the fans anymore. 😕
Great job guys!!
Shawn you guys be careful, fine grain dust is very dangerous to weld or cut near! Highly explosive especially with a lack of humidity!!
Another awesome video.
I used to put Mountain Dew boxes in front of my radiator

The spencer boys might be interested in it

I always told Dad that we could build a crane, but it would be so over-enginered that it would weigh 40 tons and only lift 1 ton.
