Trying to share some of the things I've learned about these saws to benefit anyone looking to buy one. - Навчання та стиль
Good morning
Your new video is very interesting.
I am French and in Europe we only find the Cramer 82CS34 model but with the 38 cm guide.
I have the Greenworks 80 Pro model which can be found on Amazon.
I also have a Greenworks 80v mower and 80v 4 and 5ah batteries.
Keep making videos about battery-powered chainsaws.😀😀😀
Amazon is the only place that I see the 20 inch version of the 80v Greenworks chainsaw for sale. Not from Greenworks itself even.
@@reusefull Are they out of stock at the moment?
@jean-marcbriane7283 It says they have 19 80v 20 inch chainsaws in stock. "20" (Tool Only) 3KW Motor" "Greenworks 80V 20" Brushless Cordless Chainsaw"
The GS181 (2.5 kW) also has a 60v twin: the 2021 X-Range, with a magnesium body. A newer X-Range has more torque, I think, but lacks the magnesium body. Tractor Supply Store sells both.
That makes sense since the 2.7kw Greenworks replacement for the GS181 also lacks the Magnesium body.
Very helpful, I saw the price tag of the gs181 on the Greenworks Commercial website and was stupefied. This clears things up. The batteries between the GS181 and 82CS34 are interchangeable? Many thanks in advance!
Yes, same battery. The main difference is that the 4ah battery will power the GS181 no problem, but it's not really beefy enough for the 82CS34 even though that's what comes with it.
Very grateful for the information, thank you again!
Evidently the 82CS34 is sold as the 82CS51 in Russia. The 51 stands for 51 centimeters (20 inches)- not 5.1 kilowatts. In the final minute if this owner's video, we can see a new-generation 82V battery taken apart: ua-cam.com/video/S8Aorc8PBzk/v-deo.htmlsi=uRXF7kViIpFxhsWc
The greenworks pro 80v must be 2000w?
I would be curious to test the 82CS34 model which is 3400w?
How many cuts can you make on a 45cm section oak with the 82CS34?
The 20 inch greenworks 80v is 3000 watts, the 82CS34 can get 10 ish cuts with a 5ah battery on a 50cm piece of oak.
@@reusefull Thank you very much for your answer.
The model I have is old, Greenworks Pro with 45cm guide.
I bought it on Amazon for €199.99 without a battery because I had one.
The frame is of course made of plastic and the oil tank on the side which makes the chainsaw a little wide.
Very helpful. I see Lowes still sells the 80V 20” Pro model CS80L416, 13000 rpm (so I assume 3KW??) for $499 with battery/charger, which is $450 after my military discount, before taxes. Seems like a better deal than the 3.4KW commercial model 82CS34-4DP on the greenworks commercial website for $599 and currently out of stock. Or would you recommend waiting for new models coming soon?
The next model is supposed to be 4.3 kw, just shy of 6 hp. I believe that is supposed to come out between now and fall, but that's the 82v commercial version, I'm not sure when the 60v and 80v versions will be released. I did a comparison between the 60v and 82v 20 inch saws... the 60v kit for $499 comes with an 8ah battery. Highly recommend vs the 4ah battery, so even if you had to forgo the military discount and pay the extra $50, that would be my advice. Greenworks looks sold out on their website right now though. The other difference between commercial and pro or ultra, is the that the warranty is 4yrs vs only 2 years on the commercial series. The video comparison between the Husqvarna 460, 82CS34 and 60v 20 inch gives a good look at the capabilities. I think the 80v will be pretty much the same as the 60v (but not as good with only a 4ah battery)
@@reusefullhow do you know they are coming out with a 6hp chainsaw?
@simd510 every year there is a big expo and these companies show off what they're working on. Google "Greenworks H.O.G. saw" and you should get some info.
@@reusefull any idea how heavy its going to be? I'm assuming it's just going to get heavier
@simd510 I don't know the answer to that, but it will require a pouch cell battery, which are supposed to be lighter, so maybe the weight can stay similar.
