+Jaci Gevara First try to memorize what notes correspond to what parts of the staff. After you do that (there are many online games that can help with this), go through each note you currently know and do the fingerings over and over for each line of the staff to help gain muscle memory. I've been playing alto sax for a little under a year, and played clarinet before sax.

I just found you and your covers are amazing! I'm joining my school band this year and I really want to learn the saxophone. Would you recommend the alto sax or the tenor sax for beginners? I've played the piano for 7 years if that helps. Please keep posting videos, I'm in love with them! :)
Hey, I'm on my third year playing Alto in school, from what I've heard, tenor is easier, but with marching, the parts are NO WHERE near as cool as alto, so I'd stick with alto for beginners

+Michael Martinez I'm a beginner too! Usually alto is better for beginners because it's lightweight and easy to carry. Go for alto!
+Michael Martinez you could play a tenor saxophone so when you feel like playing an alto it's a lot easier because you're used to loosening your embouchure and tightening it playing alto becomes soo much easier if you played tenor first. i've been playing sax for 7 years
