I suppose the emphasis is on look rather than the actual singing. I said I don't understand what the young singers are singing today. I thought most are rubbish. My daughter said I am old fashion. Maybe I am.
One of my favorite songs by Sheena. I've never understood why it wasn't a hit... I'll never forget watching her perform this as Caitlin Davies on Miami Vice, and seeing her character killed at the climax of the song. Powerful stuff.
Love this song..If Crockett would've had a cell phone instead of that trashy car phone..She'd still be alive on Miami Vice.. But you know...it was the 80's,
This is Sheena Easton's best song. Thanks for posting it! You are right, I've seen Sheena 3 years ago, & this is one of her best live performances. (sadly, she didn't sing "Follow My Rainbow" when I seen her)
very good performance it was during a show of byron allen in september 1989 very old video now but i repeat brillant performance with no playback i hope so
Canción Perfecta, como uno se puede dar cuenta cuando un verdadero cantante forma parte de una melodía, increíble el manejo de la voz con tal perfección que del asombro uno llega al punto de la emoción. Grande Sheena Easton.
Did anybody realise she changed the lyrics at the end of the 2nd verse “I search high & low to find my pot of gold” to “that’s why I’m going to search high & low”. Strange 🤔
all the young pop "singers" today who need autotune should be made to watch performances like this to learn how to sing.

@@ferraribeng totally agreed...
totally agreed..
@@ferraribeng There's emphasis on looks here as well, but with the vocal ability to match.
This should have been a hit. I thought this was one of her best songs.

I've been lucky enough to Sheena perform live twice and she's one of those rare singers who sound BETTER LIVE than in their own recordings.
I seen her MANY times in the 80's... she was always unbelievable... and got GREAT reviews!
One of Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds' best compositions!!!

I think Babyface got "Superwoman-karyn White" out of this song two, they sound similar to me in the composition.
