@@no_matterwhat8401 Not sure why you brought up the radar detector and dash cameras as if they're a bad things? Those are there to protect you and protect your vehicle. Everyone should have dash cameras in their vehicles it's the smartest couple hundred bucks you could ever spend assuming you don't suck at driving. I doubt this guy drove from New York to Kansas just to get brakes done, probably is some sort of traveling guy for work maybe a traveling sales person or whatever and that's why he has a lot off miles, very possible that the vehicle is company bought for them or their mileage reimbursements pay for the vehicle and he wanted something comfortable since he basically lives in the thing. I personally wouldn't choose an Audio for such high mileage driving but it's not my business either. I generally think most vehicles can easily go 200-300k miles with minimal repairs as long as it's done within the first 5 years, after that it's the age that starts breaking things.

Michelin Cross Climate tyres are an all season tyre that has a softer compound for winter driving along with a snow friendly tread pattern. IMO all-season tyres are a compromise design and like any compromise design it doesn't do everything well, only adequately.
I am surprised that the rear brakes have worn to require replacement at 60k mls, I regularly get 120k mls out of front and rear brakes even though I normally drive quite spiritedly. Today with non-asbestos pads the wear rate of the rotors and pads are normally equal and it makes no sense whatsoever to skim the rotors even if there will be meat left in them, the cost is often the same as a new rotor in any case. Skimming rotors is old school and only for cars with asbestos pads, which are not a common occurrence today.
The turbo being within the V of the engine is to minimise turbo lag, being connected directly to the exhaust manifold/ports. The preponderance of turbo's especially in European cars is to ensure a clean exhaust and low fuel consumption whilst maintaining good power. Old style large displacement. N/A engines struggle to keep the emissions clean and the fuel consumption low
I've never heard of a mileage limit for probably 20 years in Australia. Almost every manufacturer I know have unlimited mileage but limited too 3 years. My Jeep Grand Cherokee came with unlimited mileage and 15 year warranty. I traded as it was 14 years old and got a Kia with 7 years unlimited mileage. The Chinese makes I still have 60,000 mile limits. The USA is as backward as China. Amazing.

I am a pro mechanic with my own shop and 43 years under the lift, when people ask me what the best car maker is, I say VW, audi, they are not for everyone repairs can take longer, so if you do not have backup, get a gm or hyundai, butif you want the best car in the world, get an Audi they are the only car maker that has stayed pure, just make good cars no mergers, like gm, some people bought chevy trackers that had no clue they were made by suzuki, good job VW!!!
Funny how the door in that sq5 look aost the same as the door in my 02 a4 1.8t it's a rescue. It was in a fire I named it Smokey. And was it ever when the turbo went..... I head the 3.0t was pretty solid
I do over 50k miles a year. My 2019 q5 has 175k miles.
If I had only 50% life left on my pads but I'm changing the rears, I would also replace the fronts since you are there.

The reason for the exhaust tips being under the bumper is because an extreme amount of customers complained to Audi about seeing the exhaust in the back up camera when they where in reverse. I'm 100% not joking. So the VW Tiguans and Atlas followed suit.

I've always heard it's because of the direct injection causing soot to build up on the exhaust tips and owners complained about the car always looking dirty because it would get soot on the exhaust tips and on the rear bumper. As you can see when Wizard was under the car talking about the rear brakes you can see the exhaust tips are solid black from all the soot.
It really was from the exhaust with the back up camera active in reverse. I was a VW tech for 20 years. I heard it directly from the Audi trainers mouth. He used to be my foreman back in the late 2000's. Also confirmed by the VW trainer and our field operations manager.
Same thing as to why all the Audi's now have two rear fog lights active instead of the left side like it used to be. Because American owners couldn't understand the concept of both rear fogs look like brake lights. The customers of the American Audi market complained to Audi about that also.
Extremely strict EU noise regulations are the main factor behind it. The downward facing outlets are quieter. It’s not necessary here in the US, which is why Audi offers a port-installed sport exhaust option that restores the loudness customers grew used to on previous S models.
I’m definitely curious about the condition of the car in 3-4 years from now if it continues getting driven and maintained like it has been.
I had a 2015 sq5 that by 2021 had 165k miles and it was perfect. My favorite all around car. Fast smooth reliable. I miss it

The fake exhaust tips would drive me nuts - I know that some makers put another one on for symmetry or the exhaust ends before the fancy tip begins but that's crazy to see.

In Australia Audis come with 5 year unlimited km warranties. It’s pretty common to have unlimited km warranties from manufacturers here so this video was surprising to me.

That’s the ea838. It’s actually a very good reliable motor. The early versions had some roller rocker guide pins that needed to get recalled and addressed but mid 2019 Audi revised them. It’s a good power plant that’s proven in tuned form to be very reliable so hence the popularly of b9 s4/5/sq5 in the tuning scene.
Still wouldn’t win me over from the old supercharged 3.0t, those were damn-near bulletproof.

Those Michelin Cross Climate tires are really one of the better 4 season tires especially if you're putting a lot of miles on them in all 4 seasons. A lot of folks don't like them because they're directional but they're great in the rain and good in other weather. Wild to see that level of wear on the brakes though, wonder if the stability control was putting in a bit of work to cause the rears to wear like that.

VAG OEM brakes and rotors are notorious for fast wear - they provide good stopping distance though.
more people should be using the all weather tires, since it seems common to just leave winter tires on all year long. If people are that lazy, all weather tires are a safer option.
My last 4 German cars all needed rear brakes before front and the last 2 by 40,000 miles.
Rear brakes always wear fast, it's the traction control, it feathers the rear brakes when you corner quickly. Most modern cars will be like this
Those Michelin tires are awesome in the rain and snow (as far as all season tires go) and good in the dry, too. Although, they definitely are not sport tires. They also have high mileage tread life. I have them on my car and my SUV.

Those "cross climate" tires are actually "all weather" tires which is why they have that tread pattern. Meant to be used year round including in snow

I mean ok?.... The owner drove the vehicle until it's out of warranty, that's common place. At least Hyundai/Kia despite their faults has 10year 100k warranty for the power train. Don't buy "luxury" vehicles if you're driving plenty of miles. Leasing is the better option for those kind of vehicles. I can't fathom why this video was made.

Most mechanics with any sense are leaving the industry. The pay is so low… you have to be a master of all trades. You have to be an electrician, plumber and know hvac. Hell if you do body work you have to know all that and then welding on top of it. Being a mechanic pays less than all of those other trades and it’s usually in a hot shop where you still have to pay 20k+ in tools. It’s ridiculous 😂
It is ridiculous how many stupid sub-systems exist just as bling bling factor and zero real use.
I did that with my 1991 Ford Mustang GT, 4 year/48,000km warranty - in just 1 year I drove it over 49,000 km's. I didn't regret driving it out either - really enjoyed driving the car.
Michelin CrossClimate2 tires are great! It was a good compromise for me, because they're an all-season that's snow rated. I didn't want to mess with two sets of wheels, tires and TPMS sensors. We had an insane amount of snow up in South Dakota this past winter, and these tires were amazing.
I used to be a field service engineer on medical equipment. I drove "one thousand miles" a week. The co provided cars were replaced at about 100,000 miles or about two and a half years.
I own the last one assigned to me.
Dodge Journey 2013 with 245,000 on the clock.
I haven't yet been underneath the hood of one of those cars but from the looks of it seems like it would be a lot easier to work on compared to basically any of the older models in terms of ease of accesibility. As we all know german cars, and especially Audis are pretty much known for being anything but spacious in terms of working room in the engine bay and I have to say that this one looks like a much better design at first glance!
Hypothetically If I was driving from say NYC to Mexico 4 times a month (approx 60k in 6 months) in a vehicle that would take me there comfortably, economically and discreetly I would happily use a SQ5 😉

Volkswagen/Audi products for the past say, 20+ years have commonly worn out their rear brakes first. It's been designed into the braking system basically as a safety feature to help keep the car straight under panic braking.
The ECM is there probably because authorised dealer can change it in under 5 minutes and charge the customer couple hours of work plus new module no matter if the original problem was fixed or not 😉

The "Hot V" turbo set up looks like a maintenance nightmare .... And I guess the ECU need probing so regularly on new cars ( not just Audi ) that having it accessible is a really great idea. Car looks fantastic, but those fake exhausts I think bring down the brand. I'll never trust that a quad exhaust Audi is actually a beast

@@komentierer IMO it's fine, I'm sure you could make performance arguements about it but maintenance wise it would be a bit harder to remove the turbo in cause you needed to access the top of the engine for whatever reason, but it looks like you can access the coils/plugs/valve covers without having to mess with the turbo. Otherwise I think from a packaging perspective it's good and save space.
In Europe, when you buy a vehicle for a lot of driving, you buy diesel and drive a million miles... But Americans want gasoline...

Michelin cross climate 2 are my favorite non performance AS tire. Got them on the wife’s SUV and they do outstanding in the rain and light to medium amounts of snow.
I noticed the plate frame says “Audi Mission Viejo” 😆 so it started life in California, it is tagged in New York and being fixed in Kansas! Awesome.
Looks like the owner is a traveling professional. I used to be a service technician for a medical equipment company and used to have a large area I covered so I put that kind of mileage on my cars.
I can't fathom 60k miles in a year. Many moons ago my dad was a salesman for a drug company visiting doctors' offices all over creation, or so it seemed. Averaged about 30,000 miles a year.

The sales guys did ok till the Govt decided they were going to change how they were going to deal with Medicare payments and billing. The hospitals quit buying new equipment and the medical equipment companies shrunk the sales and service force until the hospitals started buying again. I worked for Beckman Instruments who were at the top of the heap back then.
The Michelin Cross Climate tire is actually NOT a regular tire, if you ask Michelin. They created that tire and it performed so well in winter conditions that Michelin had essentially created its own category of tires, they call them “all weather tires” now. Which is differentiated from “all season” by being actually GOOD in real winter driving conditions, as opposed to just “pretty ok” like most other all seasons.
I had never heard of an "All Weather", only all season. My favorite Michelin has to be the Pilot A/S4, it's almost a summer sports tire yet great in light snow.

We had a 2018 SQ5 which we owned for 4 years. It was a terrible car. Always at the dealer for problems. All under warranty, but still, an inconvenience.

Oh yeah I'm sure it's a very smart idea to film yourself snooping around a customers car to see if they're doing illegal things. Honestly, car's probably a year old or maybe even older just because they'll release cars sometimes 6 months before the model year really is, like you can buy a 2023 vehicle in June of 2022. But 60k miles a year isn't really that much I mean it's a lot but it's only 230 miles a day per work day for the year, Assuming you drive highway at 75 mph, it's only 3 hours a day of driving. Probably some sort of traveling sales person or regional manager of some big company where he drives to one location does his thing for a day or 2 then drives to the next and repeats that. Or he's a small package hot shot guy. Heck, could be that he just has a really long commute 230 miles isn't too bad 115 miles each way, when I was doing hardwood floors we'd drive at least that much just commuting because we couldn't afford to live in the big city so we live 2 hours away and commute back and fourth. Had 2 vans with over 300k miles a piece on them. A lot more people drive that much than you might expect.

I legitimately live 40 miles outside of town on 5 acres, closest real gas station is 16 miles, closest small grocery store is 25 miles. I don't think it's 'funny' to assume oh you drive a lot you must run a lot of drugs lol. Like I'm not trying to sound like a square but really it's not that much driving. Also you probably wouldn't be running double dash cameras in your mule vehicle or a very visible radar detector that just draws too much attention to your vehicle. I mean my car I have 3 dash cameras and a radar detector but that's because I do doordash and lyft / uber so they're there for my protection in the event of an accident or someone (like a cop) saying I did something I didn't do.

I’ve driven one of these. Power and ride quality are excellent. Quick and shockingly comfortable ride despite 22 inch wheels. My understanding is Audi went with fake exhaust tips because customers complained about soot buildup on the tips. The real exhaust tips are under the car. I believe you can still add Audi’s optional performance exhaust if you want a real exhaust at the rear.
So many internet stories. Another commenter posted the reason was due to cold weather exhaust clouding the backup camera view. Why would a new car have soot buildup in this day and age? Emissions are tightly controlled and regulated.
@@OMGWTFLOLSMH Yep. That’s where I heard it. I believe the soot on the tips is a result of direct fuel injection. Have that issue on my Golf R but it doesn’t bother me. Who knows why Audi really ditched the real exhaust though. Not a fan in any event. Mercedes has done something similar for years by hiding tiny tailpipes behind these massive faux exhaust tips on the AMG models.
The engine is the EA839 3.0 liter V6T, making 354 horsepower, paired with a ZF 8 speed Tiptronic, same powertrain they used in the S4

I’ve had my Rav4 hybrid now for 4 years and done 260,000 kms (161,000 miles) have not have one thing break or replaced in this time or brakes touched.. only normal servicing… why in the world would you buy a car like this… crazy..
This warranty issue is so mind blowing, over here in Europe the same Audi car gets a 2 year factory warranty without any range restriction. It even gets an additional 2 years warranty as long as the range stays below 100.000 km (60000 miles). I really feel for car owners in the USA
just trying to upsell you on the extended warranties where they make the bulk of the money on the sale. all those dealer addons are big profit.
Yeah. Over here they minimize the standard warranties, then try to upsell us on "extended" plans with fancy terms like "platinum concierge" or some other marketing BS. Cars, washer machines, even the $30 printer at Walmart. Buy an extended protection plan!
Of course, they could just manufacture better products that are less prone to needing service, but that might cost them a dime in profits and we can't have that here. :\
Lexus do 10 years / 100k warranty in the UK. Kia do 7, many others do 5. I haven't seen less than 3 years / 60k miles.
Probably has to do with shorter distances in general in Europe. Like sure someone is probably going to put over 100k here also but it is not going to happen very often, whereas in America driving between different states on a daily basis is not so unusual I would imagine.
how about Ducati motorcycle 2 years warranty only and if it goes out of warranty one minute they wont sell you an extended warranty..... Even Ferrari gives 7 year warranty and free maintenance now
Given the detailed maintenance history, how often were the oil changes (miles between oil change) 13:56 and was it serviced by an independent mechanic post warranty? What other maintenance is evident in the history besides oil changes and tires?

@@a36538If I recall on an Audi, with full synthetic oil, the normal change interval per the manual is 10k, at least after the first few oil changes. The shop will tell you it's 5K, and the interval shortens if you drive in dust or if you drive in severe conditions.

Audi specs 10k service intervals on all their cars. So officially it should have had 6 oil changes including this one. Likely a set of spark plugs and an engine air filter as well. The V6T has the ZF 8-speed, so no transmission fluid changes.
I find that fascinating - in Australia, most manufactures (including Audi) offer a 5 year unlimited km warranty, with afew outliers still offering 3years and afew offering 7 and 10. Effectively everyone was peer pressured into it.
Now either car makers in the USA can get away with it l, customers are happy to spend big on service costs, the charges are normally wrapped up in some other kind of agreement or there is 0 demand for longer warranty.
People are so unversed on Euro cars it’s hilarious. Kind of funny you call yourself the car wizard and know little to nothing about these vehicles. Fact of the matter is once you learn VAG vehicles they are absolutely wonderful. Plus this model with a simple tune will make 500hp. Great ride. Also fun fact the q5 in the US is their best selling model.
I've blown through factory warranty in 18 months... Before cov we based our cars on 5 year lifespans because of the amount of miles we drove (30-40k miles a year) mostly hwy... So sure the cars looked fine after 5 years but if anything significant happened mechanically it wasn't worth fixing and they had minimal resale/trade-in value.
The way Americans just accept such lacklustre support is mind-boggling. This exact same car sold in Australia would be covered by a 5yr unlimited mileage warranty (pretty standard for all new cars here)..

Not sure why someone with enough money to buy this car and drive huge mileage would not have purchased the extended warranty. Is it available in the states? Anyway, expecting warranty to cover worn out rear brakes at 60,000 miles is a ridiculous expectation. Brakes are never a warranty item when they wear out. The wear was completely even across all 4 pads so there is no brake defect at all - quite the opposite, they are working perfectly. Rotors and pads are a cheap item on most cars - this Audi has simple rotors, not exotics, so they would be cheap.
I once ran into a mechanic that insisted a duel outlet muffler meant that it required both emissions sniffers on an emissions test on an inline engine vehicle.
In the UK, you are required to block up the other exhaust ports when doing an emissions test.
Inline six engines can have dual exhaust headers, but in almost every non performance car they combine before the resonator.
And regardless the tailpipe emissions will be the same on every tailpipe unless the exhaust headers go to two different cats and never meet.
Almost every car with dual/quad tips has them split at the resonator or rear muffler. It’s usually only serious performance cars that have true independent exhausts from the header to the tips. That’s the only situation you need to test every tailpipe
I challenge you to a dual to prove that these exhausts are duel.
Try working in a auto parts store where customers think they have a V6 because they have 2 pipes out back. Or they tell you they have a V4, I guess they think "V" means "number of cylinders". Also heard that they couldn't have a LX model because they don't have leather seats.
As a Audi tech I'm really enjoying reading these comments. But I want yall to know something. If you drive that many miles in a short amount of time you're not going to be using the brakes as often compared to a 3 year old car with that many miles. (always depends on the driver of course) however, these cars use the rear brakes automatically to slow the car down when using the active cruise control. AND I've seen these systems go faulty, drag, and wear out the pads way too fast. Sooo, it possibly could have been a defect and I think you should monitor the system and advise the customer if they feel like the car is slowing or dragging when not necessary to have it checked out.
Kinda shocking that this thing is out of warranty, but my 2019 VW GLI is still under factory warranty (and evidently it was a bit longer at 6 years 72000 miles bumper to bumper)

For those people saying there must be a problem if the rear brakes are wearing quicker than the front: VW and Audi actually rear bias the brakes, so that the front of the vehicle does not nose-dive, but settles flat as it comes to a stop. I very much prefer that from my old 2014 VW Jetta over my current 2021 Corolla that feels like the back tires are going to lift off the ground every time I use the brakes.

Can confirm - my Q7 does favor the rear brakes. It's nice to not have it try to faceplant when I hit the brakes hard, especially with something as heavy as a Q7.

There's a lot of people driving nicely front-biased braked cars, the key is to slowly release the breaks in the last part of breaking (about 6-0 mph breaking zone), so that you're barely touching the brakes when you're completely stopped, the front suspension will rise, then you firmly depress the brake pedal again.
It takes practice, but it's the driver.

I have Cross Climate on my car. I use these tires for the 3 seasons as we get really harsh winters in Ottawa, Canada. They're great on wet roads. I do sacrifice a little bit of gas mileage but it's worth it if it means I have more traction on the road. I drive long distances with these tires and they're very comfortable and quiet. They're a great tire if you get caught in a random snow storm.
Always lease a German car, whether it’s a BMW or an Audi, because otherwise, the cost of repairs will ruin your life. Speaking from experience.
My 2008 A4 2.0 Tdi has been a hell of a great car, apart from a new "throtle body" has been really reliable ar 152k miles
My 2012 A3 TDI has been pretty good too, but poor diesel quality here in the US killed the original CP4 high pressure fuel pump at 100k miles. It also needed a new intake because of the flap actuator failing. Both were covered under the dieselgate warranty though so it cost me nothing but time. It currently only has 113k miles and should go for many more.
@@TheTardis157 the flap actuator aka throttle body is an usual issue but cheap to fix, £90 and re-align using a diagnostic machine. The diesel is high quality here in Europe..in the US i will advise to change filters often and use a good diesel addictive sometimes ..bloody car is faster than some petrol ones and does 57mpgs UK gallon
@@organiccold my isue was the blend flaps inside of the intake just before the valves. Its actuator broke but the whole intake was $120 at the dealer, labor was 5 hours to change it.
Why the hell would anyone buy a brand new vehicle that has fake exhaust exits? That's not only the dealer calling you stupid, but mainly the company calling you stupid as well. Modern cars are horrible is so many ways.
The michelin Crossclimates are an all season that is also rated as winter tires as well, probably one of the best michelin tires besides the defenders.
The Defender has been my go to tire. Outstanding traction in both rain and snow.

At high speeds, the amount of braking needed is quite higher.

However, to do this amount of miles, in this short span of time, you are going at high speeds.
Especially because, in addition to driving, you (a) must sleep, (b) have to work, and (c) should service your vehicle.

The Michelin Crossclimate II are actually real (winter legal) all-seasons tires (they have the mountain peak and snowflake symbol). I live in the snowbelt in Canada (Ottawa) and I have them. Switched to the Crossclimate II from a Toyo observe GSI5, and the winter handling feels the same or maybe even slightly better. Saves me from switching tires every winter. They have a 100Kkm warranty on the tread as well. I can't recommend them enough.
I have never seen the two tires in a winter tire test in Scandinavia. We use to compare the best winter tires Michelin, Goodyear, Pirelli, Nokian, etc can offer. With and without studs.

Studs are legal only in northern Canada. So about 80% of Canadians are not allowed to use them. Toyo are Japanese, and considered a pretty good brand. Not Michelin, but about the same grade as medium tier Pirelli's.

Why, the coil packs(plugs) are on the top of the heads. easier than a chevy v8.
Getting the coils out are the hardest part with no slack in the wiring harnesses and twice as hard on the V8 twin turbo version seen in the SQ7 SQ8 RSQ8 AND LAMBORGHINI URAS. Some done at 30k and the lesser powered engines at 40k.
That engine definitely won't be cool with a turbo nestled between those two banks of cylinders ("Hot-V"). Turbos need lots of ventilation.

@@leiflillandt1488 YES! The stability control works when you head into a "sweeper" too fast, to keep you out of the ditch. My '15 Escape AWD has "torque vectoring" (stability control) to "help" the driver through a turn. It's there SUMMER and WINTER!
Under heavy braking the front rotors and pads still do the most work. The rear brake bias is mostly engaged under light to moderate braking and torque vectoring in a corner.
I would say that he uses radar cruise control A LOT if he makes so many miles...Radar cruise control uses rear brake to adjust speed as to not jerk the car...thats why on all the new cars rear brakes go faster than front.

Really odd that the rear brakes wore out that fast while the front brakes are still 50%, makes me believe the customer drove with the hand brake on or there must be something wrong with the parking brake mechanisme.
It's the lane keeping assist it uses the rear brakes to vector the car.
It is typical on a German car for the rear brakes to wear more than the front brakes. This has been true on my VWs, BMW, and Merecedes.
VW actually rear bias the brakes, that way the car settles flat to a stop instead of nose-diving like most cars, keeps all 4 wheels planted to the road instead of the rear trying to lift up and lose traction. This is WAY more ideal than most other manufacturers like Toyota, where my 2021 Corolla feels like the back tires are going to lift off the ground at even a slow braking. Actually had to slam the brakes on my 2014 VW and my Corolla, and I can say without a doubt, the VW I always had control of the car, vs my Corolla which felt like I lost all control because all the weight and momentum of the car had transfered to the front.

What manufacturer had 300k km warranty out the door? The Germans are at 50k mi, Japanese 36k basic/60k powertrain, same for American. Kia/Hyundai the most at 60k basic/100k powertrain. Of course the majority of them conveniently offer extended warranties for $$$.

It seems the exhaust tips are not meant to be fake per se, but rather kind of “place holders”. Audi offers a Sport Exhaust system (as an extra option for extra money) which gets mounted with indeed two real exhaust tips on each side which I think fit nicely into the “fake holes” in the rear bumper which are covered here and hence deemed to be fake.

One of my favorite stories about Steve Jobs: He didn't like license plates. California had a regulation where you could drive a new car for 6 months without plates. So he just bought a new black Porsche 964 Turbo every 6 months. Same spec, same everything, just so he could drive it without plates.

that engine is smooth and fast but has roller rocker issues, also as a neat feature it has an oil suction tube to vacuum oil out instead of draining it, it is capped off and located to the right of the oil filter cap
Most VAG engines have this instead of a dipstick.
Roller rocker issues were with the 2018s according to my Audi mechanic 🤷🏽♂️
It still seems unusual for the rear brakes to wear out before the fronts. Maybe an alignment issue is what I was thinking, but maybe it's just incredibly short-lived rear rotors/pads like the Car Wizard said.
I've read that the Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) system on some modern cars shifts bias to the rear (under light to moderate braking) to reduce nose dive.
Probably due to the traction control system. Some manufactures want their car to be advertised as sporty but want to price is cheaper than a full on sports car so they use cheats to make the car turn in corners tighter than a normal car by using the brakes. So when you're taking a corner at speed the traction control system will squeeze the brakes on one corner to make it turn in better. It's fine until you have to start replacing your brakes more often and then it becomes annoying that they cheaped out on making the car actually sporty.
Noting the current brake pads were assessed by the Wizards as 50% worn, I would suggest that the front pads have already been replaced.
It does seem unusual, especially since the front brakes are responsible for most of the stopping power. But with a lot of newer vehicles, as an example, Subarus (I work at the dealer) their back brakes always wear out before the fronts.

Wizard I will blow your mind… I have a 2019 VW Tiguan with 140k miles. Only problem was axle shafts but only because it’s lowered. They started failing at 130k and I just had to replace the ignition coils at 140k cause of a misfire. Other than that I have keep up on maintenance and it continues to be an amazing vehicle.
I have a base model 2019 Jetta with 160k miles with a manual trans. Just replaced front ball joints. lower control arm bushings and front brake pads myself. 40 MPG all round driving and never a problem. Best car I have ever owned. VAG vehicles are great if you drive them all the time. If you let them sit like an old Jaguar they are potential headaches LOL
Interesting in Australia Audi have a 4 year unlimited mileage,think someone is being short changed.
The tyres are not just regular tyres they are all season tyres which have the winter tyre symbol on them. I have them on my car, they are great in all climates and almost as good as winter tyres in the snow 🙂
