Horses have to be one of the most beautiful creatures on this planet. I've loved them since I was a kid especially after I used to ride them for therapy. I used to ride them in shows :D

It is sick what happens to them in the brutal hands of man. I have 4 ponies, and they are my best friends. They each have their own character and 2 of them are old but happy. If we have a horse or any animal we have the responsibility to provide the proper care, and that includes buckets of love! Blessings to you.
When my drafts are retired they get the truly good life, wide open pastures and lots of love without having to work. We ride them frequently, tend to their physical and mental needs, and sometimes we hitch them up to pull logs in and out of the forest. Never more than two or three hours. They are family, and treated as such.
Beautiful draft horses😍👏 I was at the Denver zoo one time and they were feeding the lions I was curious and I asked them what they were feeding them they said horse I was like WHAT I should have told them to stop buying it😤

This was a really soul touching video, I have loved and kept horses nearly all my life, they were my friends. The day will come again when we will need the horse, shortness of oil, and the horse will once again plough the fields as they did here in Ireland during the 1st W.War, and kept the nation fed, no tractors then, just horses. They did everything, from pulling the milk cart every morning to delivering the coal and other essentials. They pulled the guns in the 1st W.War, through the most awesome conditions, carried the cavalry officers and soldiers in battle charges. Now we forget them. When we really need them again will we have them, and friends just to let you know one of greats in steeple chasing the great Golden Miller, winner of the Cheltenham Gold Cup 3 times, and winner of the Grand National, when the fences in those days were really fences, big tough not like today, and the Great Horse came out of the Plough in Ireland. May God bless and help you, and all you young people will want a horse, go to one of these rescue centres and adopt a horse, and spend your free time looking after it, these charities would sure need your help if you are genuinely interested. In this day and age compassion is not taught to our younger generation and its a shame that this goes on everywhere in the world. With all the sanctuary we have in the country we need to band together and stop breeding facilities where we are over run with horses bought and sold for pleasure and consumption, abuse and neglect and then they are tossed away like garbage. Ok, I don't like horse slaughter anymore than the next person. but is it really any different that slaughtering cattle, pigs or any other animal raised for food? some people's culture is such a culture that eat horses. they even raise them like cattle. just like Asians eat dogs and cats. yes it is disgusting but these people have been doing it four thousands of yrs. the only thing that really gets to me the cruelty of how these animals are treated up until they get killed and during the killing. i have watched video upon video of this horrific disgusting thing. i don't know how these people that do these things and then are able to sleep at night. they show know guilt or remorse at all. yes i am against horses being slaughtered !! i wish i could save them all. i am one to put the word out on killer buyers though. it is sad when someone has to sell their baby because of something that has happened. and then they think the horse got a good home only to go to slaughter. my advice is to verify their info. i go to the property check with neighbors and ask around their town

Because the way I see it is: we kill cows, pigs, goats, chickens, and other farm animals. Why should the horse be exempt? Yes, they do help people but so did the oxen, but we still ate them.

The spotted owls we were told only lived in old growth forest, that was until some one produced a picture of one nesting in a sign. I remember when I was teen and I felt like I needed some thing to believe strong enough to die for and gave my life meaning. There are people out there who would take advantage you like they would try to take advantage of me because now I am old. The afore named originations use national advising that is expensive and do not run any shelters. The ASCP do and provide vet service, local Humane Societies run the shelters but get nothing from the USHS. I asked.
