Same case here.... After 2 years 4 months, my poco m3 did the same thing yesterday. I went to a repair shop and he said it's a by birth fault in Xioami phones... I'm not going to buy a Xiaomi in future.... Going for Moto !
@@Axiom_1983 same here after 2 years & 4 month my m3 phone dead 4 days before while I didn't give any update to my phone in these years and now I brings my phone to repair shop and he said it has CPU related issue he charged the 1800 Indian rupee amount 😞 so pathetic experience with Poco and I think after CPU repair I will also lost my precious phone data which never returned

I'm crying, it's a great video but it didn't work for me. I have this problem with every update and whenever my phone turned off. I was always able to get it to work after a few days (battery drainage). But the last time my phone turned off, it never showed any sign of life.

I noticed there's a cheap thermal pad under the copper tape that's sitting on the power ic chip. I'd probably replace it if you can while you're in there Also, the thermal paste on the back was completely dry in my m3.
Instructions for power ic copper shim:
Cut a square out of a ~1mm thick copper shim to the same size as the power ic chip(5mm).
Place a very small dab of thermal paste on the chip after cleaning with isopropyl.
Place the shim down and center it on the chip so you dont short anything out.
Carefully smooth the copper tape over the shim preferably with something flat.
You can also use thermal epoxy on the TOP of the copper shim where it contacts the tape but you're probably fine without. An alternative to this is stacking copper tape on the chip(5mm squares centered on the chip) that would probably work better than the thermal pad. With this method you have to make sure you're centered on the chip because copper is of course conductive and will short out stuff on the board.

Yes but if u restart ur phone it will not turn on again because its a hardware problem from this model. So u need to repeat this process everytime u wanna restart.

At first it didn't work for me then I disconnected every thing expect the power button( I had poco F1) then I hold it for 30 sec to drain the remaining power out of the board then left it in that condition for 5mins then connected Evey thing expect fingerprint then I connected the smaller battery cable at last and as soon as I dit I started holding the power button and after nearly 30sec it booted up thanks for your video....btw I charger the phone for about 30mins before doing it

Hello! I just wanna share my experience that can be a help to you all.
If you wanna restart/reboot your phone, restart it when your phone's battery is 3 or 2%. The lower the percentage, the better. Then after reboot, it is highly possible to go shut down. Of course, you long press the button until the logo appears. It opens just for minutes.
I already did it many times when my apps doesn't work. I restart it when the battery is really low.

I had to disconnect the power button switch at the chip and reconnect it , now the power button works again !!!

For this method to work you need to drain your phone battery, if you have full battery percentage please remove the battery strip for more than 30 min and try again connecting and power on it will resume the update screen and your phone will update and restart
how can i open it if it has drained battery? shouldn’t i put it on charge after draining it before trying to opening it again?
this is how i woke up my shit poco m3 (but i love it)
1. disconnect all 3 connectors
2. put back de middle one
3. start to charge the phone
4. put back the power cable and immediately start to put the power button until it wake up!

Sometimes get the phone to boot while doing this however the common deadboot this is just a temporary way to access device as next reboot or power off & it's stuck again

my phone doesn't turn on normally, but when I let the battery to run out and connect it to charger the "poco" and battery sign show up but after that when I press the power bottom nothing happens and the battery sign also disappears. I try this method in 11%, 31% & 72% of battery. Is something wrong with cpu? Or is it Something else?
Hi Please let the phone 3 days without touching it then on 4th day press power button for 12 second it will show no battery after that just charge it for 20 mins and it will turn on to avoid this never restart your phone. try and post your comment
