- Jennifer Lopez is speaking out for the first time about some comments made about her four years ago. Before she appeared on “The Bear,” Ayo Edebiri questioned Lopez’s singing ability. In a new interview with Variety, the “This Is Me Now” actress revealed Edebiri came to her “Saturday Night Live” dressing room to tearfully apologize for her less-than-flattering comments. Inside Edition’s Megan Alexander has more.
This is why I say if you’re gonna be in the spotlight one day you got two choices. Stand on the things you said in the past or don’t say them at all if you know you’ll be hob nobbing with these same people you criticized in the past
Actually you have three. It’s called owning up to your mistakes. She chose the third. It’s ok to grow too. I’ve said some things in my ignorance that I literally cringe about now. She was wrong in saying that JLo hasn’t got talent. She realized that and apologized. Growth!

@@sandra-jonesThat last remark wasn't necessary. Jennifer Lopez has been accused for years of ripping off other musicians songs and/or faking those vocals. Ayo bent over backwards to kiss up because she sees her career taking off and got scared that her past remarks could jeopardize that. So instead of standing on what she said, which was not untrue, she chose to eat crow.

Ayo's words were truthful but unnecessaryily harsh, considering that J.Lo never bad mouthed her. At the same time, if Ayo's words didn’t affect her, WHY is J.Lo telling everyone about the apology?

Jennifer Lopez has made disparaging comments about actresses in interviews. It looks like SNL set this up to get attend attention.
I'd just be like Charles Barkley and tell the world, "I say what I want." After all, did Ayo say anything untrue? Just because you're in show biz doesn't mean you have to play nice all the time.

Its not an issue if you don't like her singing others like and enjoy it. Not every singer must have a strong voice otherwise we would listen to Oprah all the time. She should apologize because saying that her 20+ Carrier is scam is wrong and injustice.

She's a mediocre actress as well. But, I'll give her kudos as a dancer--that's her gift. She's pretty and that's all that's needed for some in her industry; they'll build around her to make her successful. If any of her kids have vocal abilities, it's SOLELY due to Marc Anthony's genetics. Stop it. 😂
@@sama1555 That may be true of Mariah these days. But, you can't take that away from her especially when she first hit the music scene. Mariah has a GIFT and she was never a dancer. I will give kudos for JLo's dancing ability. THAT is how she started and THATS is her lane and she should stay in it.
@@marie2511 Jlo doesn’t always lip sync. She may had half of the time, but that’s not all the time. She was live singing on SNL, so where’s the credit for that? Plus her singing vocals had improved from over the years. Where’s the credit in that? You just don’t like her and it shows. I can name other artists who lip sync and have average singing vocals just like JLO. Bigger stars than her!

Eh, I don't think J. Lo is a terrible actor, personally. I just think she's too hit-or-miss. But my opinion doesn't reflect those of others. She certainly can't sing, but her acting is certainly better than her singing, even if it's only slightly better.

Can JLo sing? Yes. Is she the best singer? No. Is she a good actress? Yes. Is she the best actress? No.
Is she multi talented compared to most people? Yes.
