I have to say, you have the most amazing collection! That is so cool. Slashers is a really fun movie. I will check out the end of the line. Do you have any Lucio Fulci?
New subscriber here, I love the enthusiasm in your voice, and you have an incredible collection. I'm sure I read somewhere that Future Kill is one of the Safdie brothers' favourite films.
Awesome list...i still have never seen crawlspace and another one you've mentioned in the past n I want to watch too is bad ronald...so out of the rare, out of print, most valuable and/or precious to me movies are Dead Alive(dvd),Christmas Evil with slip case (blu ray),Cemetery Man(dvd),Clownhouse(dvd),Bad Boy Bubby(dvd),Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things(dvd), The Devils (dvd),Deep Red (DVD) Demons 1 and 2(DVD), David Cronenberg's Rabid(dvd),High Tension(dvd),Frontiers(dvd),May(dvd),Jason Goes to Hell Unrated (dvd) Friday the 13th dvd box set,Subspecies dvd box set,Cat People(dvd),Cutting Glass(dvd),Martyrs(original on dvd),Hitcher (original on dvd),Dawn of the Dead(original Blu Ray),Near Dark(blu ray),the Dentist(dvd),The Exorcist blu ray digibook signed by Linda Blair, Freaks(dvd),Frankenhooker(dvd),First Born(dvd),Fido(dvd),serial killer bioptic's on Bundy,Dahmer,Gacy and Gein(dvd love these movies),Nightmare on Elm Street box set (dvd),new Phantasm sphere blu ray set with all the film's in the series, House 1 and 2(dvd),the Stuff(dvd),Stephen King's Thinner(dvd),Troll 1 and 2(dvd)...i realize some of these are out on blu ray but I'll tell ya when I found em throughout my years of collecting I was stoked lol...keep on collecting everyone...physical media is still the best
Good interesting vid Shawn. Your DVD room reminds me of the size of my VHS collection back in the day. I also had a fairly large DVD collection but had to downsize. Fortunately, I now get the digital versions and put them on an external hard drive. Not the best way for someone who has an addiction to collecting physical medium, but storage is becoming difficult. Any film with a soundtrack by Tangerine Dream is a winner.
Great video! Very informative. I love that you did it in front of your wall of movies... loved checking out the other titles!!! .. couldn't help but look 😂
How do you determine whats out of print? I always assumed it meant whatever isn't pressed anymore. But that would mean literally every dvd thats not being printed anymore in that particular edition. So that means my special edition Star Trek the motion picture dvd is out of print AND my The Happening dvd?
Well some movies that are super common and are out of print dont really hold much value. It has alot more to do with what they are worth and that kinda stuff
Biozombie is easily one of my favorite zombie flicks of all time. Bought it years and years ago from a video rental shop for $2. “You go! i go! I go! You go! Fine! We’ll stay! Fine! We’ll stay!”
Nice collection!!! Got a quick question for you, can you send a picture of what the disc label looks like on your copy of Dawn of the Dead? I'm trying to buy it on ebay and I'm trying to do my due diligence so I end up paying a fortune for a bootleg. Thanks in advance!
Hey Shawn I'm an avid collector myself mainly horror vhs.here lately ive been trying to get all the amityville horror on DVD.can u please tell me what the red, blue, green and yellow amityville collection dvds are.thanks
What a collection of Horror movies you have theres so many i haven't seen but would have so much fun watching but i did buy Near Dark and Leviathan which are some of my favourites they cost me a small fortune but i guess it depends how much you want it and how rare they are so it was good to know from watching you going through your unreal collection what was and thank you for sharing takecare
There's something so wonderful about the 80s/90s early 2000s horror movies. I've found some neat finds in believe it or not, the Walmart DVD bargain bins. Awesome collection. I've found all 3 Sleepaway Camp's in the Walmart bins. $5 dollars each.
Lifeforce and Lord Of Illusion are both OOP now. I've found three copies of Near Dark at thrift and video game stores. Not hard to find in the wild apparently.
I always used to see Disturbing Behavior and The Guest go for $8 on Amazon some years back, but then they vanished from Amazon entirely. Listings are there, but almost never available.
One I didn't see in your collection is Games (1967) with James Caan and Katherine Ross. An absolute classic and profoundly twisted film I've been looking for on DVD for 15 years and finally got a copy when it was released as one of the Universal's Vault Series films. It's been re-released by Shout Factory but, I believe the Vault Series copy is rather to come by now.
hello i know you mostly focus on horror movies ...but I have a question about in old 80s dancing show called dancin on air then ..later on became dance party usa ..named after the cable channel USA do you know if it ever was released on vhs or dvd its one of those really rare tv shows that juxt got lost that many people don't know about...if you don’t know do you know who I can talk to about it are where I can look it up at .thank.
Girls Gone Dead was a great movie. I am keeping an eye out for a reasonably priced copy. Loved Dolls. I actually own that one. Years back, I remember seeing The Clown At Midnight/ Phantom Racer dvd at Walmart for five dollars, and, never got it. Never would have thought it would be this expensive now. I would say the most expensive dvd I own is Dr Giggles. The most expensive blu ray I own is the original Mother's Day. Awesome video, as always. Thank you. I appreciate all the hard work that you do for us 👍👍👍👍👍😎😎😎😎😎
Thanks so much Boyd. It always sucks when you remember seeing the stuff in walmart so cheap. I passed on a lot of stuff backing the day which now is so rare
Been looking forward to this video ever since you first teased about it the other week in a Livestream :) Wow "Children of the Night" I haven't seen that Movie in forever and didn't know it ever got a DVD release! R.I.P. Karen Black. Another one taken away too soon.
8:30 Hey Shawn just to let you know that those Demons 1 and 2 steelbooks from synapse films are also out of print. They were expensive when they came out and they go for a lot more now. I believe they were limited to 3,000 copies.
Incredible! You have probably the greatest movie collection I've ever seen. I'm curious where you would put Alien. Would you put it in the horror section or sci-fi?
Braindead ( dead alive) is my all time favorite movie! I am so hyped to finally being able to watch it again if there is a re release. I still have the vhs tape but it's almost broken so I don't wanna watch it again because of it. Nice collection too!
It's all on one disc, unfortunately, so each feature is compressed more than it should be. The quality isn't that great. Better than DVD but nowhere near what it could be.
Blue Sunshine is still available on Filmcentrix's website and is easily one of the most packed out and coolest blurays I own. It is getting a 4k release, but honestly I dont think the picture quality is going to outweigh the packaging of filmcentrix release. If you're a fan of Cronenberg, it's a must watch
Nice video. I just did a video like this and had a few in the video that you did. I found The Ring slipcover at Walmart. Not sure how I got it there if it was a Best Buy exclusive?
The slip cover for day of the dead is still included I recently took advantage of their cabin fever sale and bought a bunch of blu rays and mine had it
I saw your 4K version of Brawl in Cell Block 99, the cheapest one I could find was like $60 lol but I found the alternate cover dvd version at Walmart for now
i'm gonna be starting a blog soon shawn showing photos of my out of print and discontinued dvd's..soon as i've set it up i'll send ya a link to view it..i enjoyed this video shawn you have a great collection
Some great films there. I had no idea some of them were rare or out of print. Just for reference as you mentioned for one of them. You can tell if a film is from the uk, as we have to have the BFFC certificate rating listed on the cover, spine and back. If it’s not on there, it’s likely to be a European release.
Bio-Zombie is hilarious, very rarely hear anyone mention it, I also love and own Children of the Night on DVD and have never seen it for sale again anywhere to buy!
I don't have a huge collection but the 2 that are probably worth the most are both Arrow limited editions. Nightbreed and The Ring box set. They both go for upwards of £100 now.
Hey Shawn Great collection of horror movies. Dude I shouldn’t have opened my copy of Dead Alive if I knew that went out of print. But I’m happy to have it in my collection. I pay too much for Sleepaway Camp II like $166 without a slipcover and Sleepaway Camp 3 I got that for $57 without a slipcover. I had to download a Blu-ray rip copy of Disturbing Behavior so happy to have at least a good quality version of that movie. I definitely wanna check out Clownhouse. Great Horror collection Shawn. 👍👍👍👍👍
Mentioned this before on your recent Horror Collection video but Dawn of the Dead (1978) is my most valuable Blu-ray in my collection. I just received the Blu-ray for Fantasia/Fantasia 2000 this past week and it was $40 on eBay (it was in good condition with a slipcover and inserts and one with at least a reasonable price).
To answer your question about the Scream factory blu rays, the valuable Scream factory blu rays are the slipcover only blu rays. Scream factory still re-releases their collection but does not contain the slipcover. Arrow Video does the same thing. In addition, the House collection is out of print. Finally, I do not know if you have it but the Re-Animator & Bride of Re-Animator Arrow Video Ultimate edition with tons of extras features are out of print.
People have been finding that some of their Blu-rays are "bronzed" and don't play anymore. A title that is known to have this issue is Near Dark, so I hope his copy still works.
Body Double is a classic. I stll throw around "You're a peeper. In my book, that's a pervert and a sex offender." and "Maybe you're just a harmless panty sniffer, is that it?" which not a lot of people get. Great collection all around.
Hey dude, I was watching one of your older videos earlier where you went to a horror convention with Adam the Woo. I've started watching his videos, they are excellent just like yours. Do you still see Adam ?
Man I really hope peter Jackson didn’t give up on those 4K restorations of dead alive and his other early films... It’s been almost 2 years when he announced it and he hasn’t given any updates
Very interesting video. Its not horror, but I recently realized that The Chipmunk Adventures Bluray is out of print. I have that film, and I remember you doing a video looking for it and finally finding it when it was first released.
I saw Office Killer in there. I think that's OOP. Oddly, I think Tim Ritter's Truth or Dare? (on VHS) is my most valuable horror movie, even though you can buy it on DVD now. Oh...and I just received Scream Factory's Invasion of the Body Snatchers...going OOP this year (one of my favorites:)
I ordered Dead Alive off ebay last year and when it came it was a bootleg even though the seller was claiming it was a German version. when you turn the disc over you could clearly tell it was a BDR. It's not a bad one though, so I wasn't too mad. at least its in 1080 and has a menu.
Love your collection shawn C.!!!
Great video, keep up the good work!
Hey thanks so much Tony :)
That's a cool collection of rare and out of print horror movies Shawn
I agree, that's a cool collection of rare and out of print horror movies.
I also am in agreeance of this statement
Thanks so much Angel
Always a pleasure to get a look at your horror collection, Chauncey. I think you're going to need a bigger room, though!
Thansk so much for taking the time to watch
Happy I bought Dawn of the Dead years ago for 10 bucks . One of my favorites
Ya really is one of mine as well
@deadpan They have a 4k version now? It's a old blu ray .
Same here! Funny how bargain bin movies become hard to get
I have to say, you have the most amazing collection! That is so cool. Slashers is a really fun movie. I will check out the end of the line. Do you have any Lucio Fulci?
I’m really excited for that 4K restoration of Dead Alive! I hope that gets released soon. Definitely one of my most wanted Blu-Rays.
I agree I really hope it happens
Love Dead Alive! 💀☠️🔪🩸
Found a Dead Alive blu ray for $2 unopened at a pawn shop a few weeks ago. That was a good day.
What a score!
Wow 2 dollars. That is an amazing price
New subscriber here, I love the enthusiasm in your voice, and you have an incredible collection. I'm sure I read somewhere that Future Kill is one of the Safdie brothers' favourite films.
I love these videos! It’s like going through the video vault!
Hey thanks so much
Another great video Shawn! Always interesting to see your collection
Thanks so much for taking the time to watch
Dolls and Doctor giggles are funny as hell .
I agree. Love them both

Any film with a soundtrack by Tangerine Dream is a winner.
I agree Trangerine Dream is amazing
The “Creepshow 2” Limited Edition purple slipcase Blu-ray set is definitely one of my prized titles in my collection. Only limited to a 1000.
That is awesome you have a copy
Wow man what a collection! Best I've ever seen actually!! I thought my collection was vintage but after seeing this I stand corrected!
Hey thanks so much Brian
Always my favorite type of videos that you do. Hope you & your family are doing well!
Thanks. All is well on our end
How did you know about the movie crawlspace. I remember watching this on tv. So cool. How can I find it for my collection
I saw it the first time on vhs. My parents taped it off the tv
A day in the life of coolduder might be a good video to do....
Ya might do like a week in the life soon
Dude I just stumbled upon this video in my recommendations. This was super cool to watch. Great stuff!
is there a specific site you go to to find out whether a movie is out of print?
I wish their was a specific website all about out of print but never found one.
@@coolduder so how do you find out if a movie is out of print? Do you just shop around for the specific titles you think maybe out of print?
The evil dead extended cut slipcover? I’ve never seen that where did you get it
Great video! Very informative. I love that you did it in front of your wall of movies... loved checking out the other titles!!! .. couldn't help but look 😂
Thats Marie.
Where would I found The Silence of the Lambs full 2 hours and 18 minutes version cause nowadays they only have 1 hour and 58 minutes .
Great video, Shawn! Always enjoy seeing your collection videos. The 10-disc Halloween set is oop as well.
Thansk and thanks for letting me know
Hi, when you saw Thinner, do you feel the story is same as part story of your life?
I just don’t understand why you don’t have at least 10 mil subs, I mean this is great content!
Hey thanks so much for the support and kind words
The Slumber party massacre 2/3 blu ray is out of print now, I always see it selling for over $100 on ebay
Cool didn’t know that one went out of print
I see Cannibal Campout on the shelf.👍👍 Excellent collection!!
watched crawlspace on youtube after i heard you talking about it in multiple videos. what a strange, but really good movie!
Awesome really glad to hear you liked the movie.
Caught crawlspace on late night TV in the late70s I have never seen anything like it since
@@paulkitt5599 Its actually based on a good novel by Herbert Lieberman (same title)
Have you ever talked about your most wanted DVDs / Blu-Rays? Would love to know in case we ever spot one out in the wild!
That is a good idea for sure. I also have thought about doing one of movies that need a dvd or blu-ray release
Deadly Eyes Blu Ray is going for 170 dollars now and Without Warning is going for a lot too. On Amazon
Wow didnt know it is selling for that much now
I'm a big collector too. Nice collection. I have about 500 horror dvds. A lot of rare ones
Hey Bro, So Happy you own some if not all the (8 Films To Die For/Afterdark Entertainment). Just Epic, just wish they would make more....
How do you determine whats out of print? I always assumed it meant whatever isn't pressed anymore. But that would mean literally every dvd thats not being printed anymore in that particular edition. A favorite I own is The Norliss Tapes. Are you familiar with the movie?
I think I got that one really cheap at a pawn shop
What is your setup for watching all these movies? Would be an interesting video to show off.
I think I showed my tv in my blu-ray room tour a week or 2 back

Death Spa (1989), Monkey Shines (1986), Doom Asylum (1988) (gorgeous Kristin Davis) and Frankenhooker (1990) are out of prints, maybe.

They have the full unrated version on UA-cam ,i watched it last night
Very interesting video. Its not horror, but I recently realized that The Chipmunk Adventures Bluray is out of print. I have that film, and I remember you doing a video looking for it and finally finding it when it was first released.
Ya I had heard that. Im so glad I got that one back in the day
The house with the laughing windows is an Italian horror movie out print. Check out the out of print blind dead box set.
Such a pain it was a bootleg. It really sucks when that happens
Thinner! I remember seeing that one at the cinema when it came out back in the days. White man from town
Eat your own pie. Lol.
I have nt been able to find the original Fright night 2 either - not even a second hand one! Oh well the search continues - fab vid btw 👍👍👍
Ya you never seen that one anywhere. I saw it maybe 5 years ago used at Fye and really should have bought it
Where can I find out if a movie is OOP?
I wish their was a site I just have to look things up
