I've experimented with this before, but I didn't actually think I was right in thinking that no matter which monster ate what, it completely healed them. Anyway, the Zelda Dungeon Wiki has been updated with that information :)

The first and only time my horse died, it was the worst experience ever due to the sound it makes. I also simultaneously learned that it’s very hard to outrun guardians, even at top speed they’re annoyingly fast.
heres another which i learned recently if you attack an enemy even in normal mode then continue to run away and ignore them "not out of there render distance." they will eventually heal. but in normal gameplay thats a very long time but it is interesting.
Encountered this naturally at some point - I think, I was using bombs to kill some bokoblins from afar and one of them rushed to some fruit from a destroyed box and got healed. Was not expecting that 🤣
This probably won’t work but do the Yiga Blademasters still call for backup if you use Stasis+ to freeze and then damage them? Or if you sneakstrike them? (I think the former is more likely to work.)
the Yiga actually fail on Two counts: not only the "less-than-100% health = Always In Combat" rule mentioned in the video, but also because the Yiga dont 'eat' bananas (or whatever you drop on the ground to distract them with)-- they Swipe them...they can also apparently take more than just food (like weapons or items, including the Master Sword itself, if you lure one alllll the way to the forest), but they dont Equip the things they take, so i would assume that they dont Eat food items either, so itll never be known if it would heal them or not anyway...

If only they had gone one step further, with a damaged enemy trying to kill a critter to heal themselves. Imagine having a Lynel down to 20% health, only for it to spot a nearby deer, charge at it and eating its meat to heal itself, though perhaps only on Master mode.
I imagine all the newbies raging after losing all their weapons only for a lynel to jump down a mountain, kill a deer then teleport back finishing them
I've seen many videos about Online Zelda BOTW, so imagine sabotaging your friends (or even strangers if the mods allow it) by feeding some drumstick to a Lynel and healing it back to full HP, just before it dies. hmmmm

Did you test with a gold/silver moblin to make sure it heals fully? Those guys have the most hit points, they're the best option to see if it's really full or just 200 or something

This was an interesting test I once tried but I was underprepared and never came back to it in the future and I can't believe I've take such a long break from this channel (also lizalfos count as carnivores and insectivores since they will also eat bugs if offered to them)
Getting into the details - Fish eaters are called piscivores. Honestly, I knew about this since near release, but I thought it was a known mechanic. Regardless, great video and I am very surprised this was so unknown. Hope the exams went well.

Moldugas don't eat. If you lure one underneath another enemy, they just get knocked around, not swallowed.
Never tried this in game... so it's interesting to know! I wonder if Lynels would go back to max health...

Actually you can save before your horse kicks the bucket and then you can return to your save and then go back you have your horse again!
