@@TNS17 Just south of Nesbit yard in Bloomington, Minnesota. South of Hampshire Hill apartments on Hampshire avenue. Today it’s near a dog park next to the Best Buy Co warehouse.
@@TNS17 Auto Cub Yard is about a mile south of Nesbitt Yard (6408 W. Old Shakopee Road in Bloomington). Most of the yard activity takes place at Nesbitt today, in fact they added a big CP sign, there's a CP high-railer truck parked there and they added an extra building to the one already there. I drove by there today and there were long rows of cars there waiting for activity Monday morning. Most of the PGR power (former MN&S units that are painted like MN&S units) ties up at 96th and Lyndale right behind the credit union in a fenced area adjacent to Ziegler cat. This is all in Bloomington, Minnesota if you're viewing this from out of the area. There's another independently released DVD called "MN&S: Memories of the South End" that I recommend if you can find a copy of it. It's similar footage but includes the road units among other things.
that also went through ST LOUIS PARK MINNESOTA
That bridge over 494 looks so nice, seeing a train crossing it nowadays is quite a rarity
Notice #35 has the EMD flexicoil switcher trucks. All MN&S switchers had them. Sunken rail joints? What sunken rail joints?
when i left MINNESOTA, IN 2005, it was still running.canadian pcific, then pogress RAIL.
@nels1jac
This is a spring frog, a rather poorly maintained one at that!
What's the deal with the switch after the 5:00 mark?
Maybe it's a spring switch?
2:38 - auto club yard. A veritible ghost town today but here you see all the rails buried by weeds today.
Where is that yard located?
