  • Got a campsite at Lake O'Hara for late June as somebody cancelled last minute. Checked the trail conditions and realized why they cancelled... Still lots of snow above 2100-2150m elevation, most of the trails were off limit.
Walked through knee-deep snow to get to Lake Oesa, luckily the trail was mostly packed & manageable. The trail to Opabin Plateau was less travelled with waist-deep snowbanks in some sections. Needed snowshoes to reach the viewpoint, but the view, wow, just stunning.
    Highlights of the trip:
Lake O'Hara at sunset. The lake was like glass and the golden peaks got perfect reflections on the lake. 镜子一样湖面倒影中的日照金山
Lake Oesa just started melting. Could see a blue ring around the lake, the glacier blue.
All the plants just budding or sprouting, showing their fresh green and aliveness.
Mountains, all the gorgeous peaks in that area, they change as you walk around the lake and stand in different spots. Just can't get enough of them.
Will definitely go back and do the Alpine Circut & other trails!
