The bearing is dry, Bud, I fixed mine with a drop of light oil on the bearing.

You are right it could be the bearing or the capacitor. In my case of was the capacitor , after changing it it was okay

I think you should send the old one with you as a sample so the electrical shop will know exactly what to give you .The spec on mine CBB61, 1.5uF +5% , 50/60 Hs ,40/70/21

Well ... The Capacitor assist the Fan to move ... So there is a high probability that the Capacitor is the problem

I have the same one, only the fan is different, it stopped working, tried to remove the fan coz i think there's dirt inside, can't remove a bolt on the lax, its stuck inside....🤦🏻
This Cooler has a shitty system, the lax heats so much it melts the plastic fan.

I will recommend you take with you the damaged capacitor as a sample , because each Air-cooler may have different specs, CBB61, 1.5uF +5% , 50/60 Hs ,40/70/21
