Our country is deeply divided, racially, class wise and crimes out of control. Conservatives control the airway, via talk show hosts. I am lost now. Now we forced China and Russia together. Blessy, I saw your channel grow pretty faster. Thanks for a great job showing how foreigners live in China. Chinese people are really friendly, in regards to racism toward black people, I would say that is not racism, it has to do with China being open to the outside world not long time ago, Many ordinary Chinese people may interact with black people first time in their life. That is why interaction between people are so important.

New York City is not the rest of America. But I agree, as an American I’m sad at what our country has become. It was never that way before 2000. Btw, this just happened in nyc. “A Yonkers man has been charged with a hate crime in the brutal beating of a 67-year-old Asian-American woman - who was stomped and punched more than 125 times while being called an “Asian bitch,” officials said.” Look it up. Most of these attack on Asians is by AA.

KING KWESI: Thank you for another excellent episode. In my opinion, your videos are one of the most under-rated and under-viewed.
As to one of the upsetting incidents lady Chastity (the guest) described (at 18:35), that a Chinese guy "shot a bird" (raised middle finger) at her ... I suspect that it was very likely some sort of a misunderstanding. In China, most people don't know what "raise middle finger" gesture means. Even if some Chinese now know about it after watching many Western movies, I doubt that any ordinary Chinese would use it to others in real life. I could be wrong, though.

After watching several episodes of blogger's videos, I found that bloggers like to ask questions about racism, and I found that black people may have lived in Western society for too long and felt discriminations from white people every day, so think it will be the same in China. Being like this interviewed woman, she has a preconceived notion. She thinks that the landlord didn’t rent her a house because she was black. She doesn’t know much about Chinese people. There is an old Chinese saying: “Listen to her Words and deeds”, we will not be like Westerners who completely believe whatever is broadcast on TV, but depends on what he has done in a period of time. China is composed of 56 ethnic groups, and they live together harmoniously on this land. We haven't had conflict in thousands of years, let alone a fight! In many of the blogger's videos, many respondents who have lived for more than 20 years may not fully understand China, so this lady who has lived for two and a half years may have to understand China for a long time! 😏

China respects multiculturalism, and its inclusiveness is unmatched by other countries in the world. From the millennium in China, the multi-ethnic composition of harmonious coexistence can be clearly seen, and the black people themselves have a very deep history and culture, but it is a pity that black people are very easy to be infiltrated and influenced by Western culture, lack of national self-confidence, do not know how to cherish their own culture, fully accept the thinking mode of Western white people, black people should have national consciousness, I think black Africans have gradually awakened, no longer completely believe in the cultural brainwashing of white countries in the West, I hope they can find a way for their own national development, and I also hope that black people in white countries will also have this kind of national self-consciousness!😎

The perception of blacks by Chinese (and by many Asians) comes from watching American movies, American news outlets. You'd be shocked to know how many Vietnamese in Vietnam would ask me shit like "are blacks violent like what they show on American news and internet videos". The landlord probably got his black stereotypes from watching American media. I would further argue that even in America, many Asians subconsiously harbor a bad stereotypes of blacks because they too watch American media. I know quite a few Asians in the US whose perceptions of black is just as racist as that racist white guy in Missisippi. Racism is really a disease in every sense of the word, it can spread, and it is contagious, and if one is not careful, then one can (subconsciously) contract the disease without even knowing it.

Additionally, this interviewee felt very uncomfortable seeing a man make bad gestures. What I'm trying to say is that the unfriendliness that Chinese people encounter in Western countries is a thousand times worse than that, not only verbal, but also physical attacks, including a lot of black people, especially after Trump took office. What I don't understand is that black people are also discriminated against in white society, but they will attack yellow people, and many Chinese people have been attacked to death. Why do such kind Chinese people make bad gestures? ! So this should be something Westerners should reflect on! China has never invaded or colonized other countries in the thousands of years of history, only other countries have invaded China, so among the 14 countries around China, China has never colonized, and some countries have invaded us, China Having won the fight and taught them a lesson, we will still go back to our own territory. This is the traditional Chinese way of thinking, the Chinese have no interest in aggression and colonization of other countries!😏

Cause western media portrayed Asians especially Chinese as evil, likewise they do the same for Russians but it's much worst for Asian as our face isn't Anglo so it's easy to differentiate them.

If this girl wants to be as professional as she wants to claim she should learn to sit down for an interview. who splays their legs like this when sitting with someone who wants to chat with you about something important. Let go of the ghetto as you move on in life. it will benefit you.

Relax on how you come out attacking someone, this wasn’t shot in a professional studio besides it was done in the comfort of her home and it’s ok for her to sit in a way she’s comfortable.
How does this apply to her professional work?

@@KINGKWESI U are stupid. It does not matter whether this was at her house. she deserved to give some respect to to the interview that would have gone public. You being in your house does not mean a thing. I guess by your reasoning as long as you are in your house you can do whatever you like with guests around! in what universe are you in? an alternative one? there is a time and place for everything. this girl still has some huge work to do on her self.

A lot to unpack here. American black ppl are always wearing the race chip on their shoulder. Everything is about race. Makes it uninteresting to be around. Stop watching Joy Reid.
Shanghai is an international city. You’re going to get some negativity from some people as an American, especially now.
If you’re going to come to China, learn the language and invest in understanding the culture. Very important.
In high school I had a black English teacher who was the best! I never heard her say “axe” for the word “asked”. Work on your enunciation.

i find black peoples race chip confusing. one moment they feel people look down on them. Next moment they vent their anger on colour asian in america, blaming the asian “rob” their jobs or economy for that matter, and now covid, become the tool of racist white politicians and mainstream media.

They brought their mentality to a different world, history, supposed China as the history of America. Discrimination happens between Chinese too , people respect those who respect China. Because China suffered from the western world since 1840, today still got distortion everyday in America mainstream medias, people have the idea : he/she much has brainwashed by those anti China propaganda. to be honest, I can’t talk with Americans even in California, you can’t imagine how much people hate China for no reason.

Acquiring and adhering to "the national language" syntax, pronunciation and grammar is, sadly, something that so many African-Americans seem duty-bound to resist. Call it a manifestation of a search for Identity, or whatever else you would call it, it serves only to alienate the dominant culture, making it all the harder for those of us who have tried all our lives to assimilate.
When continuing to do what isn't working, in attempting to achieve a particular result, we can call that a manifestation of cultural insanity.

@@johncarpenter4083at my work our AA co-workers play derogatory music (p word, n word, b word, etc). Very unfortunate to invest in such negative vibrations.
When I came to China, prior to coming I studied Chinese, I interacted with Chinese and worked to understand their culture. When I arrived I studied Chinese in university. I respect the local culture and people and put them first when riding public transport.
