  • Hey Guys! I'm back with the REQUESTED Messy waves tutorial!
    I started doing this on wash day after blow drying my hair. I re-braid my hair every night and will do this for 3 to 4 nights. After that, I will then put my hair back into a bun to tuck my ends away. This way I've had a chance to enjoy my hair before it's weighed down by any product I may have used throughout the week. I use a hydrating oil (coconut oil) daily because it allows my hair to be light weight and free flowing without being weighed down. Now, of course after using it daily for a long period of time it will eventual buildup and cause my hair to be weighed down. In this video I'm 5 weeks post and still enjoying my hair!
    Enjoy the video!

    Great video! Can you explain how much breakage is normal for relaxed hair? I’m newly relaxed and not sure if some breakage when detangling is normal or if there shouldn’t be any?? I’ve been REALLY babying my hair but can’t seem to stop little one inch pieces from breaking off when combing my hair. I recently had a trim so whyyyyy... I don’t get it.

      U may need more moisture

    • @AprilSunnyBeauty
      @AprilSunnyBeauty  3 роки тому +1

      Thank you 💞tfw. Breakage is not normal Chemically treated or not. Shedding yes up to150 strands daily. Breaking no. Try a hydrating moisture Masque. If your shampooing your hair you should always follow up with a hair Masque.

      @jmarie6242 3 роки тому

      Thanks for the reply!!!! I’ve tried so many moisture masks I’m starting to think maybe my ends got damaged from my hair being dipped for box braids. I’ll get another trim I guess 😩 that or I’ll try protein.

    Do u braid it every night? If so isn’t that a lot of manipulation? If not, how long do the messy waves last? Thanks 4 sharing!!

    • @AprilSunnyBeauty
      @AprilSunnyBeauty  3 роки тому +2

      I braid it every night for 3 to 4 nights. Then, I go back into a bun to put my ends away. Tfw💕

    Hi Sunny. I like to think my hair is healthy.at least it's not damaged and I dont manipulate it at all. How do I grow it to mid back to waist length. please I need tips. I moisturize and seal btw as well.

    I try to do this with my shoulder length relaxed hair and it never comes out this way 😭

    • @thisismjay
      @thisismjay 3 роки тому +7

      If ur hair is thinner try to braid something with the hair so the curls arent too tight, like add a ribbon and braid it with ur hair, and if ur hair is low porosity hair DO NOT add all this coconut oil like her, it will just sit on the top of your hair making it greasy. Personally my hair is high porosity so i spray water first then add the sealer (coconut oil or shea butter) then braid and because my ends are thinner i add a ribbon and braid the hair with it. It comes out exactly like hers
      If ur hair is dry and it would just bee sticky and wont move, make sure u deep condition first as well
      Good luck
