off healing has always been a serious problem after cataclysm, off healing and absorbs dmg. Another big problem for pvp Is mobility, there Is so much mobility in this game
TBF, Duels in The War Within ARE more entertaining than duels on DF.. People talk fondly about MoP, but do we forget that's the era where Destro had cinders and could heal himself?
MoP had crazy selfhealing too.
Like, How can you enjoy duels if you actually die in the first go in DF? Versus certain specs, there is even nothing skillful about it.
Tuning is wack right now too. If Chaos bolt hitted for 1M, the duel would also be over in an instant. The self heals ARE too strong, but wasn't the best era of WoW litterally getting self heals for every single spec?

Soulburn is your friend. during a duel pull out your succubus. if warrior is tunneling you, drag him away from his healer. So many times the healer was quite far away but your healer was still quite close. Just pull warrior away and try to drag him out of LOS
One thing that would have helped during the duel with the warrior is to soulburn into healthstone.
Since you would gain far more health back (which is about 55% health back vs base 25%)
Unsure if still nerfed in TWW but in PvP, SB:HS I think is 20%, but yeah would have helped a bit.
It gives 20% hp increase as well. So 10% less healing from the 55% is negligible.
Against a war probably best to sack a VW and increase HP even more so and just be an undying wall xD (obv lets MS drop first)
Hope we get some more tuning passes. Idk tho melee ruled shadowlands for a season or 2 there I don't wanna have to skip a season lol
I wouldn't read to much into this, since with the most recent changes it implies blizz is still fine tuning all the classes, I wouldn't be surprised if we see another 3-4 balance passes in varing degrees over the next 7-9 weeks. I wouldn't expect major nerfs to sustain or durability tho since they said they were not going to look at that so thats still going to be a thing. I will say I much prefer these longer games over people just randomly getting oneshot, tho that might be my bias as a healer lol.
As always, they start making class changes 2 months before release and they're insane for it.

Problem is lock. It’s just a badly designed class rn. Everything has massive mobility and lock has very little
He was positioned poorly to get effective circles quite often. The biggest thing I saw was he didn’t soulburn at all unless to set up gate. Playing lock has been one of the most fun times I’ve had as a ranged while dealing with melee. I had a ww monk cuss me out in solo shuffle yesterday because I could slip away or cc him any time he gap closed on me.
The reason I quit pvp in Legion was twofold: one was the stat templating thing that they tried back then. The other was the introduction of demon hunters to the already ridiculous pool of stops that I had to deal with as a caster main.
Did they reduce the damage of all classes by 50% or something? Why does it take so long for someone to die

Hi mate, Destro seems low on the damage front imo... I know they must have alot more people at blizzard working as we've had loads of updates within days of a blue post. Looks like affli is doing better. What's you're thoughts? I enjoy you're vids dude keep it up
I'm sure you saw my rant in discord, that first duel was part of it. Matter of fact, I mentioned warriors being unkillable before too 😂😂 I'm just so uninterested in the new xpac and I'm banking on it staying this way because IDK, that's the blizzard way. It makes me even happier that Cata exists lol.
Again though WE'LL SEE what happens. Who knows, Blizzard may surprise us all. I'll be amazed though if they do
tbh most classes need tunin down, I main mage, and fire and arcane feels bonkers...I do not even cast on fire and still do more dmg than locks, I was able to take out feral druid before they could touch me >.> warriors do not even accept duels even with their healing.
As i understand, to do more damage you need to switch to the Diabolist, isn't it ? But overall picture is really wierd, in reatail typical chaos bolt hits like a truck which is not a case for TWW, only Ruination and soulfire are able to deliver such damage percentage.
It’s weird they keep giving warriors healing and hybrid seem to be further behind pure spa for healing. I know the whole hybrid thing doesn’t mean much any more but you would still think spa classes with a heal button would out heal the ones that don’t right? Lol

I usually edit the videos but Cob had to rush takeover editing for this video so apologies something slipped through the gaps. Seems like he accidently used a really old project file to finish the editing. Mistakes happen!
And this is why I wont come back. Warriors having that much uptime and you not being able to kite them, AT ALL, then the dude just keeps self healing and self healing. Only a Warlock with your experience and skill was able to last that long. That guy was a mediocre player at best and he was able to keep up for that long...its disgusting. This is the same problem with Rogues...they require NO Skill and are 100% forgiving for anything they do wrong. This is the big problem with Melee in this game. The only casters that can deal with Melee are mages....thats it. You should be PUNISHED for making mistakes like that Warrior did with you, SEVERAL TIMES. Did he pay the price, Nope....he is breast fed by Blizzard like all other melee.

Chaos Bolt does more damage as Diabolist. Hellcaller isn't as good for pure damage atm, it seems like Hellcaller is better for AoE situations like in M+. If Blizzard doesn't change anything, Diabolist will likely be the best HT for Destruction in PvP. Its ST damage is stronger.
Only heals, hybrid classes and tanks should have decent heals & survivability. Pure dps classes/specs should have LIMITED self-heals and be easier to kill.
Ya it’s pretty silly already in DF. If i’m playing balance druid in epics and actually try to focus on off-heals when if teammates are low.. I usually classes like warr’s still beat me in heals lol… lame af
Yeah self healing is completely insane, some classes/specs should not have that, at least nowhere near insane. Though many absorbs and micro-CC need work too. Then to not make game super tanky abilities need decent dmg without CDs. We'll see once we get max lvl in exp I guess, though annoying how Blizz is ignoring some issues in terms of "brawl" combat they want. Also no I don't want 1shot combat as well. But stuff could use some work, they are just too slow with patches and even scared to do bigger changes once games goes live.
Combat needs to be more scary, not as tanky in general overall, but not too spikey dmg though. Not CD based only, Also dmg diff between classes is way off, even on live.

Self healing is completely out of control
Warriors need the second wind to stay alive and play the game. That being said, we dont need 100 charges. They need to reduce mobility for everyone. Leech should be deleted outright. OR every class get base leech set in pvp environment to be same for everyone. Say 5%. Cant get higher that, self heals need to heal 50% less. Force hybrids to heal others for full value. Now that doesn't mean for death strike or victory rush, but like druids, priests, paladins, monks and shamans. Hybrids shouldn't heal themselves better than healers. This would also make hybrids into hybrids again where healing your team is better than forever living yourself imo
Second wind only works out of combat so many people talking about second wind and the healing😂never looked into what really heals a warrior obviously

i think its just destro dmg in pvp thats the issue here. you just need to burst through second wind, but with no burst you cant do that xD
melees now have infinity gaps and charges, its just annoying, you arent a caster anymore bc you just relly on insta skills to do dmg or a precog window

That's not a good sign. It will either stay this way or go too far in the other direction since blizzard doesn't understand how to balance.
If it's still a mess after a few weeks of tuning passes then it might be time to panic. Also perfect balance never exists but they hopefully get it reasonably close.
Blizzard = FOTM balance and now + mythic+ pve catering over everything.

it'll get nerfed in pvp as soon as the expansion launches and everybody sees how ridiculous it is, but as usual pvp is an afterthought.
destro's damage is undertuned right now, too low
I don't know, i think most people are over reacting to it, i prefer this thn a oneshot meta, also i don't care about arena, it is dying anyway future of wow pvp is on BGs/RBG/Blitz, group pvp content in general. They can fix this by changing % base healing skills to be based on spell power or attack power instead.

Honestly the warlock dmg looks terrible. U build up and at the moment you suppose to unleash hell on them its more like of "naah that dont hit hard". Let's see what they gonna do with this untill the release.
3 min duel isnt even that bad. reminds me of vanilla TBC duels. Was fine back then. I would rather have that instead of a duel that lasts 30 seconds where I get randomly one shot or something.
surviving dmg for 3 mins as a warrior should not be a thing, drain life as a warlock is fine, healthstones are fine, passive shields are not fine. Some classes should just not have self heal the way they have now (something like second wind or ignore pain on a longer cd would be fine). Mages having the absurd amounts of heals, shields, cauterize, ice block, alter time, generally able to cc the enemy and blink away...that should not be a thing either. Give them a shield once every minute, and make it smaller, remove cauterize (there should only be one cheat death and that beeing cheaat death) Make alter time restore half the dmg and not all the damage taken.
Its sad that its not even the hybrid classes like shaman or paladin that heal the most out of the dps

Self healing in PvP is needed. Due to lack of actual heals. By and large the job of a healer would become overwhelming, and easy enough to cc do's while everyone kills heals... no one would want to do it. Plus if you don't like self heals and cc and just focus on dmg then the game becomes one dimensional... 😮
Man, you sure making sure warlocks are not going to be a s tier class. I have seen video on mages and feral druid and warriors on how broken they are and haven't seen anything else about them or even Seen anything about them getting fix. So they stay broken, and you put another video out on warlocks, and like they last time, they nerffed the hell out of them. Not buying new expansion

Can't say I agree with the overall statement, I'd much rather be fighting longer and have sustain fights rather than 10 second long one shots we've had for multiple expansions now...
