Dave, you have tapped into the real part of this hobby that everyone has forgotten about. We have such a glut of productions models and 3d printed falderal, that no one thinks of the DIY aspect. I love seeing content like this, no gimmicks, no cheats, just pure hobby. If I were ever to have the good fortune to cross paths, I hope you would allow me to buy your lunch.
When the base coat hit, that's when this started to shine. Also digging the yellow and red checkerboard, brings back memories of when orks were nothing but fun.
Everyone of my scratch builds looks like crap until the paint hits it. It's all the brightly colored plastic making it look so far from the intended model.
Nice work. Forgot what you used for the smokestack but atvend of video, got an idea that empty 410 shotgun shells might be a good crafting resource. Can cut the plastic to size.
Love the fact you picked up scrap metal and turned it into custom treasure. The studs finished off the savage look but for me I just needed a little more weapons on it. Great job!
As always, I'm nothing but impressed with how you manage to turn ideas and creativity into something actually playable. Looks amazing, no surprise there
The other day at the thrift store I saw a toy USPS truck. Looked at it for a few minutes thinking about what I could do with it, but ultimately put it back. You’ve inspired me to go back and get it to make my own Ork buggy
Reminds me to get back to working on the variant of GorkaMorka that a local shop is talking about having a campaign for...though it lacks anything that's actually from GW there. It started from a thread on the Reaper boards where someone used some scrapified modern military model kits with various gnolls for something fun, and a hyena man take on gorkamorka just seems like it's something that would fit for sheer crazy.
This is a maze ballz man hear work! I've always wanted to check the road for bits looks like it paid off for you in this build. I'm glad to hear that you plan to make more stuff!
I’m not going to lie, I was more than skeptical of this one when I saw the base frame that you were working with. But I can say with confidence that this did not disappoint. You did a great job on this one. Hope you have a great 2022
This piece has a ton of personality. I love it! I finally grabbed some E6000 because of your videos. Haven't used it on any models yet, but it has helped with some home repairs, lol
