Best budget cruiser is a 2nd hand cruiser. They're often low mileage and retro/vintage/classic by definition 😉 Nothing is more relaxing then riding a cheap bike that can take a scratch or two without worries.
I bought a new one, but it was my first bike. After owning it for a year, I realized just how right you are. I would have been very happy with a gently used bike and my wallet would have liked it alot better too.
Yep I agree, I'm glad I got cruiser bikes out of my system with a couple of old metric bikes. On that note the 1100 virago is a great bike if you can find a nice one cheap

Vulcan 650s. low seat and well balanced
The Super Meteor is a great bike, rode one last friday, and its great. The only downside to it is the lack of a rev meter.... srsly RE, go put the INT dash on it pls. Oh and unlike some other bikes in the category *cough Rebel* you can actually fit on the thing as an adult male.
Have had the Super Meteor for 6 months now with no complaints, just grins. That CFM looks pretty sharp!
I have had the Eliminator since last November and as a new rider I love it. So many things that made it enjoyable and ideal for me. Even put a M4 exhaust on it.

I bought a Kawasaki W800. Amazing bike, simple, easy to work on, reliable and fun. I had a road King, then a PanAmerica HD and a Versys 1000se. All amazing bikes....but this one is...special. it's weird 😂. It captures my heart 😂
CFMoto CL-C looks cool specially with that belt drive. The sound of that stock pipe is really awesome!

got my first bike last year it was a vulcan s, loved that bike. heading to port dover for Friday the 13th got rear ended by another bike.......... now I have a 96 honda shadow 1100. pretty badass bike tbh.

I bought the Eliminator 450 as my first(ish, had a 2002 ninja 500r but only used for practice before selling it) true motorcycle. It is a wonderful bike as I am short AND it still has some pretty good power to use. Also got it on sale thankfully, it was the tail end of a Kawasaki sale at the Ride Now near me.
I'm looking at a eliminator at a ride now no where near me, i would have to pay $500 shipping but it still beats local prices, is Ride now trust worthy? , i see bad reviews.

The RE 650s and rebel 500 and great bikes. I'll admit i had a ton of fun at a CFmoto demo ride event, but im still a bit nervous about china bikes.

CTX700. Low seat height, peppy engine, very comfortable with great handling. Since it was kind of a sales disappointment, they’re surprisingly affordable.
If the Eliminator or Vulcan came in a 1000 version or somewhere abouts I'd consider it. Then add a quick shifter and cruise and id buy one.

An H2 Eliminator would be sick. With a lengthened stroke and a 270° crank.
What bike would i choose from this list depends on the terms, conditions and mostly discounts provided by my local dealer.
So far i am very happy with my 2023 Honda Rebel 500 SE but any bike from this video would do the job just fine i guess.
Owned both Rebel 250 and Eliminator EL 250 (SEAsia). Will never have another Rebel, would definitely have another Eliminator. Only REs I want are the Classic 350 and GT. Have learnt that feet-forward cruisers really aren't my thing.

Yammi, would you recommend getting a helmet with or without a drop-down visor? I have been wanting to upgrade my helmet, i mostly commute to work with some spirited riding. I am looking at the HJC i10 which is snell approved with a drop down visor, where i could just get a different color visor for the sun. Or i could get an AGV K3 with a drop down visor which is dot and ece certified. What are your thoughts on integrated sun visors?
I don't think the Bristol brand has entered the USA yet but here in South East Asia, the Bristol Bobber 700 is a major contender in this category.

Eliminator standard. I really dont like the contemporary look of a cruiser. standard eliminator looks stand between naked and cruiser and i freaking love it.

I am lost on why the Vulcan s 650 is so hated. I bought one last year and it's a great cruiser with ample lean angle and power.

I’m pretty sure the Honda is a 180 degree P twin, are the elimanator and clc 270 degree twins ? I think the sound of the 180 is a deal breaker for me. I have an MC19 currently and I’m looking for something more comfortable and throaty for a 2nd bike, so v twin or 270 twin for me

I would say the real question concerning the CFMoto is how long will it last riding it?
The Aussies and South African folks seem to like them. I'm Canadian and I know a few farmers and hunters who use their side by sides and quads. They might be worth a shot, but the modern market has a heck of a lot of good options.

Eliminator 696 with buckhorn bars, throwback style cooler than the recent design, which looks weak, back to the 80's vibe instead, black n' chrome. With dynamic damping. Yammieha could do the same with the X-Max (the 80's bike, not the scooter). Surely they are sitting on a sad pile of R6 engines :(

I’ve had many types of bikes and if I am going with a stripped down cruiser it’s a Harley or Indian. This is not because of “merica” it’s because I like the way those ride for that type of riding. I don’t care where it’s made or who made it but there is a reason those 2 brands have always owned that industry. Problem is price. If you want a budget price you would have to get it used when talking about Harley or Indian.

I find it more than a little suspect that you gave the price of every bike except for the Eliminator 450. The bike has no style, it looks like nothing special. The frame is fugly too. Worst of all is that you somehow consider this "nothing" bike as budget-friendly. Yes, I know what year it is, but $7000.00 {aka SEVEN GRAND} for a 450cc motorcycle is nothing short of lunacy. Only Royal Enfield's are priced anywhere near sanity today and even they're adding on a grand in bogus fees out the door.
I hate that they gave it the Eliminator name. I had an 85 Eliminator 900. It was special in looks and performance. The new one is just another also ran.
