This reminds me of polka dancing around my great aunt and great uncle's kitchen. My great uncle past last year in the end of September and my great aunt has dementia. Oh I miss the dancing. He was a phenomenal dancer. I mean like Gene Kelly level good at dancing. Oh he was so much fun at weddings!

I'd love to live in a village in North Dakota where the people are merry and listen to music like this all the day long. I worked at Busch Gardens The Old Country in 1975, and there was a little village named Rhinefeld [sic] and they had polka and oompah-band music from a live band all the day long. Happifying! And there was the Burgermeister, Bob Bauman, strolling around in his lederhosen, drinking beer and singing songs.

Many forms of Mexican music are heavily influenced by polka. Emperor Maximillian I of Mexico was Austrian and is one of the main reasons why Mexican music sound like polka. It is also due to the intermingling of German immigrants in Texas with Mexicans.
